About Elfie

Elfie is the sweetest, most gentle little pup you'll meet. Rescued with her sisters from the streets of Tijuana, Elfie has slowly been coming out of her shell to show us her wonderful personality. All three girls were extremely, and understandably, frightened and shy when they came to us. As Elfie has been in her foster home, we are beginning to see that this little gal is quiet and wants nothing more than to curl up in her crate or on a lap, but every now and then she'll get a burst of silly energy and run around the yard in circles for a few seconds, only to exhaust herself and put herself right back in her crate for nap time! She's provided a great deal of love and laughter to her foster family and will make an amazing pet for a lucky family. To be considered to adopt, you must fill out the Mutt Scouts application (link below). Please ask all questions on the app itself. We have so many applications coming in and it may take time to get back to you. Thank you for adopting not shopping! http://fs6.formsite.com/themuttscouts/form984956698/index.html

Meet Rider -- this little man is a 9 month old, 40 pound Australian Kelpie mix that bounced into our lives 6 months ago. He’s full of energy and loves to play, is loyal to people he knows and trusts, does well with kids, and can learn just about any trick in the matter of days. Some of his favorite activities are going for long runs, bike rides, and hikes and he will play fetch for hours on end. He’s a sharp little guy who is incredibly food motivated and good with all his basic commands -- sit, stay, down, roll over, and come. He's been attending doggie daycare nearly every day where he plays all day and interacts well with the training staff there. Sadly, due to a change in life circumstances Rider's family can no longer keep him. His ideal next home is one that has space and can meet the needs of his working dog breed. He needs a lot of land and tasks throughout the day to keep him busy and to match the physical/mental requirements of his breed. He’s not an apartment dog and needs owners who will be able to provide him with the stimulation he needs.
