Reed is a sweet middle-aged gentleman who is looking for a home to live out his glory years. He's affectionate once he warms up and likes to nuzzle you whenever given the chance.
Reed came to us very matted and dirty and to give him a head start on looking his best, we have shaved him all the way down. He has had trouble adjusting to shelter life but has shown great improvement since arriving at PAWS.
We have not been able to get a good read on how Reed would interact with a dog in the home. In the shelter, he tends to be barrier reactive towards dogs that are bigger than him but we are open to exploring this more. We would not recommend Reed living in a home with small children and we are not yet sure how Reed would do with cats.
Location: Northeast Adoption Center. All our dog meets are by appointment for approved adopters only.
Breed: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
Age: 5 yrs
Reason for surrender to shelter: Stray
If you are interested in meeting Reed, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application. If you have questions, please email the above address or contact our adoption staff at 215-298-9680, ext. 16.
