In order to alleviate the need to bring an animal into the shelter environment, The Anti-Cruelty Society has developed the new Home-to-Home Shelter Bypass service to help people find new accommodations for their pets privately. THESE ANIMALS ARE NOT LOCATED IN ANY OF THE SOCIETY'S PHYSICAL SHELTER LOCATIONS. PLEASE REFER TO THE CONTACT INFORMATION IN THE PROFILE BELOW TO INQUIRE ABOUT ADOPTING.
Stella is a friendly, active dog who will do best with a family that will provide her with lots of exercise, love, and some training. She craves affection and attention, occasionally jumping up on people for attention. She is eager to please and would make an excellent dog for a family that wants another dog as a companion to an existing dog or with kids.
Stella is great with other dogs as she is playful but not overly aggressive. She is great at a dog park and has never had any issues. We have not had her around cats.
Stella has been around kids and is fine. She loves to play fetch and is not a biter at all. She is affectionate and can be a little "licky."
Stella was diagnosed about 6 months ago with hook worm. We addressed the problem immediately and she is completely parasite-free. She is on a regular heartworm regimen now as well as flea and tick regimens.
She is used to sleeping in her crate. She is not completely housebroken but improving daily. On lead she can tend to pull some but with a front attachment harness she is much better.
We already own two dogs and are fostering Stella for my daughter who just had a baby and can no longer care for her. Our living situation (rental) makes it challenging to own three dogs in a limited space. One of our dogs is older and does not like Stella's high energy. Stella is spayed, up to date on shots and is chipped.
Stella's microchipping is thru HomeAgain: 985 112 009 987 730
