About Maisie

Maisie is a beautiful 1.5 year old mixed-breed girl with a gorgeous shiny, reddish-colored short coat who seeks a new loving home. Maisie was found as a stray in our neighborhood. We posted signs for her but she was not claimed so we took her in and it’s been a fun ride ever since! Maisie is a very loving, fun, sweet dog who is active but also calms down nicely. She is an extremely loyal dog who will stick by your side inside and out and lay under or by your feet, which may have been some type of training she received previously as she also knows how to sit. As you can see by the attached pictures, she loves other bigger dogs and some small (non-annoying to her) dogs. She does not bother our cat. Maisie loves to sleep either on our bed or directly on the wooden floor even though there are dog beds everywhere - basically wherever we are is where she likes to be. Maisie LOVES to play fetch and is very good at it, as she will return and release the ball (most times!). She also loves toys and pretty much always has something in her mouth - usually a tennis ball or rope tie - but the wonderful thing is she sticks with her toys and never chews things she shouldn’t - furniture, shoes, etc. She is somewhat protective of her food with some of our dogs so we usually feed her separately for the first 10-15 mins while the little old guys have a chance to eat. Maisie is a super fun dog who has many wonderful qualities. We believe she would be happiest in a home with an active owner and a fenced yard, perhaps with another larger playful dog, and where someone is around more than not. We do not crate her and she very rarely has accidents in the house. She’s really a doll. Maisie is very healthy and spayed, heartworm-tested negative, and fully vaccinated with distemper, bordetella, and rabies including Duval Cty tag, fecal-tested negative, and ready to be adopted! Her adoption fee is $250, which includes all of her vet records, collar and her fav toys! If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Maisie, please text or call 847 842 9300 or email sesdale@sbcglobal.net to have an application forwarded to you.

Sadie is an approximately 1.5 year old mixed-breed dog looking for a new loving home. She is currently living in the Chicagoland area. Sadie was found as a stray in Florida and rescued by the couple you see in the photos as she was about to be picked up by Animal Control. They couldn’t let her go to a fate unknown so they scooped her up as they were in the process of a move to Chicago and brought her to Chicago with them. They have fallen in love with her and would like to keep her but their plans were already in place to move in with family where unfortunately animals are not accepted. Sadie was very malnourished when found but her foster parents have been working on nurturing her back to health. Sadie is a very sweet, loyal, energetic, and playful dog who loves to play Frisbee and soccer and, at the end of the day, cuddle and fall asleep with you. She is very friendly, likes to lick cats, but is uncertain with other dogs. She has all of her adult teeth, a beautiful red-brown coat, floppy ears, a full tail, and an excellent sense of smell. Sadie would do best in a home with an active owner and a fenced yard where she can get all of the exercise and play she needs, and where someone is around more than not. Sadie will be fully vetted prior to adoption – spayed, heartworm-tested, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300. If you would like to meet and potentially adopt Sadie, please call or text 847 842 9300 or email sesdale@sbcglobal.net to complete an application. show less
