About Heisenberg

If the anonymous person writing biographies could have a favorite dog here at the shelter - Heisenberg would be it. This sweet lug was brought in when his family was having a baby. Heisenburg was overwhelmed with kids in the past who were playing too rough with him, so the family decided to bring him in. This guy loves belly rubs and will do anything he can to get closer to you to give kisses. A bit on the chunky side, Heisenberg could benefit from some nice long walks with his new owner. He does not seem to really care about the dogs around him, his main focus is on seeking out more attention from people. As an added bonus, a generous donor has sponsored his adoption fee!

Pay the Piper, and call the tune, for this little miss is waiting for you! Say hello to pretty Piper! Piper came to us as a very pregnant mother all the way from Alabama. Piper raised 8 beautiful puppies, who have all found terrific homes. Now, Piper is ready to find her home as well. Piper is a VERY affectionate girl who is quick to bond with most people. She loves cuddles, and wants to be a lap dog, despite her size. She greets us every morning, with a wiggly run to the door, and some play bows. She has become very comfortable in her temporary home, so she will bark when new people enter the room. We are hoping that this is just a shelter behavior, but if not, she is easily won over with treats. Piper seems to do very well with other animals. She has had lots of playtime with various puppies, adult dogs, even some cats during her stay with us. Piper is housetrained, and likes going outside for walks. She does easily get spooked, so a quiet neighborhood would be best. She likes chewing on Nylabones, and will occasionally play with toys. She is a "stuffie" shredder, so squeakers beware.Piper does have some allergies, that cause her to be pretty itchy. We have had luck with grain-free lamb, and the medication Apoquel (about $75 a month). Her new owners will need to monitor her diet, as she loves food, and will help herself to any food she can find (as her cute curvy waistline proves). She will require regular veterinary care to manage her allergies; this could be expensive. Piper lives in the manager's office, where all her office mates adore her. We think she will fit into a variety of homes. So if you think Piper is as awesome as we do-please ask the front desk to meet her. Special Medical. show less
