He is fixed, microchipped and vaccinated and tested. He loves playing with catnip toys.  He is so awesome and has the most beautiful coloring.   He prefers to be the only cat of the household. He is currently living in an enclosure because he does not get along with other cats and he is really tired of being cooped up.   You would fall in love with him if your met him. He can be indoor/outdoor but would get used to living indoors only if he had allot of room to run around.   He will let you pick him up and give him kisses. He has short hair with beautiful green eyes. Online Adoption Application › Loving and adorable, but very special needsBriar is outgoing, loving, playful and loves life.  He purrs close to non-stop and head butts you for loving.  But he had a perianal hernia and GI tract complications since he was rescued as a bottle baby.  Multiple attempts to help him with vets locally would work for a while, but finally we had to take him to UC Davis vets for another surgery.  This created quite a large vet bill for the group, requires special food, and significant care.Any donation will help significantly, towards his bill, and his on-going expenses.Please help us fund this little guy - - never seen such a trooper in a little kitten, he won’t give up; help us make sure we don’t have to!    THANKS for helping!UPDATE Nov 5 2015, working with the vets we have come up with a mix of canned and kibble to help  Briar's poop firm up some so he makes the litter tray more and has gained some weight in last months.  He had stalled at about 5lbs, but with the mix of canned and kibble we've got him up to 6 lbs.  Also we had a scare when he plugged up with a hairball in rectum - with work we got it out.  But now he gets every meal hairball treatment gel till shedding season is over, and we have trimmed his beautiful tail (sadly) so he will not ingest the long 4' tail hairs.   Still he's a wonderful, happy, beautiful cat!    UPDATE Dec 14 , he is gaining weight and is now up to 4lbs at 6 months of age, yeah!Update Jan 15, 2016- at Vet check he was 4.8 lbs (yeah!) and is now got Royal Canin Mommy and Babycat kibble, as well as canned IAMS intestinal plus food to eat, both easy to digest, so poop a bit more consistant timing and firmer .Update March 6, 2016-  After trying baby kibble with Briar and finding it was a very fine balance to keep him from getting too firm of poop, we have started him on Metamucil in his canned food at the recommendation of UC Davis.   So far we find that is nicely helping to manage the really loose stool.Update Sept 20, 2016 - Briar is much better on Meatmucil and gained some weight as he's able to not have the food just run through im!  Though he still doesn't always make it to the litter tray its much firmer poop and easy to clean up.   He's just a total love bug and he's worth the work! Update August 2017We have him on a diet of canned food mixed with metamucil and it does a realitively good job firming up his stool but sometimes he still can't make the litter box so he does have his own lineoulum floored room.  And he does get out to hang out in the house when we can watch him to clean up after him if needed.  We did have a scare earlier this month when he had a bout of colitis but the Vet said that can hit any cat and figured it was an isolated instance and so far she is right!Update January 2019 Its a new year and briar is already 4.5 yrs old, wow time flies!  We have worked out a specific food for him mixed with metamucil and he is doing much better about getting to the litter box now.  Still sometimes has accidents but we are pleased that it is somewhat better and if you are looking to help support him the food is Fancy feast (Gravy Lovers chicken feast in grilled chicken flavor gravy).Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Demi came up to the 13th St Cats volunteer asking for pets before being fed. The decision was made to rescue Demi when she tried to get in the volunteer’s car and leave with her. Finding a name that suits a cat can be difficult. For weeks the name Honey was used and is part of her medical records. The name Demi is inspired by her beautiful markings. Demi loves all kinds to toys, mice being her favorite. Interaction with humans engages Demi nightly. She will sit under the bookshelf where the wand toys are kept waiting and silently asking for play time. She loves being petted and sleeping next to her foster. Demi is slowly getting used to being picked up and cuddled. This task will require patience from the adopter. Demi has the cutest vocalizations when asking for breakfast. Street cats know to be quiet so Demi doesn’t have much experience talking. She makes sound like a soprano frog, “reebit, reebit.” Demi gets along with other cats, older and younger. When taken from the trap she was found to not have a feral bone in her body. She found it amusing that we went to all that trouble. Franny is a sweetheart. She loves to be petted and scratched, but is not a lap cat. She quietly sits and watches her humans and the cats around her. Franny sleeps in her own bed and doesn’t crowd her foster parents. She is learning to play but being a mom came too early so she had other things to learn first. She now likes wand ribbon toys and has been seen batting stuffed mice around wondering why they don’t run. Franny has the cutest vocalizations when petted. She makes sounds somewhere between a high pitched “ha” and “heep.” Franny gets along with other cats, older and younger. She would be fine with others but may prefer being a single cat. She has been an outdoor kitty most of her life and is not litter box trained.  She is nervous around new people, busy activity and noise but loves to relax in your lap in a calm environment. She would love to find a family who can offer her love and affection and will reward you with love, purring and a sweet mew.  Harriet has lived her life with her sister and gets along with other kitties. Although she has not been around young children in many years, she has been very loving and sweet with children in the past. She just visited the vet yesterday, had her shots brought current and had a senior cat (she is 12 1/2) exam and blood test. She is healthy with no issues. She comes when called!This kitty is a sweetie - thus the name!  But don't let the name fool you - she is very full of energy and a strong will.  And, while very cute with her little white throat spot too, she's game for anything!    She is so happy to greet you, she'll climb your leg if you let her (we of course are trying to train her to do so only when we want!).  And even comes when you call her name. Originally rescued from the SJACS when she was fixed as an itty bitty, she was not thriving; with the right oversight in her care and feeding, add a little love in there too, she bounced back to be the happy but opinionated kitty she is today! These handsome mini house panthers are pretty inseparable and would love a home together if possible. Both have perfect track records with using the litter box and the scratching post, and love to play with the Cat Dancer or play 'soccer' with any kind of ball toy. Inca is still shy but is making progress every day by following his brother Tollie's lead to learn about the joys of play, pets, and snuggles with humans. Since then she has moved with me to Ann Arbor, MI and Sacramento CA - she is quite the traveler and is bilingual. Mini was born with Cerebellar hypoplasia, a mild form of brain damage which means she is a bit wobbly and cannot jump (so she can't go on the furniture :) ). Her condition does not require any special medical attention or medication. Mini doesn't know she is an extra special cat, she loves to run around, will ask for you to pick her up and hold her and is very affectionate and sweet. She is quite talkative. Mini has lived with Snoopy for most of her life. She is OK with dogs and kids and will probably do OK with other cats as well. She loves to go outside, but needs supervision or a well fenced yard, since she cannot defend herself. She uses her litter box well. Mini has a history of crystals in her urine, so it's best if she eats food formulated for urinary tract issues. Mini is a long haired black cat. Due to a medical emergency, I am forced to leave the US back to live close to family there. It breaks my heart that I cannot take my cats with me this time. He was severely anemic, underweight  and suffering from issues with his mouth and ulcerations to the pads of all four paws. He needed a great deal of medical care - removal of all of his teeth and a few surgeries to  his paws. He recovered well and his paws are  perfect with no further issues. His mouth is doing great but needs to be monitored with medication given daily  Moses is the smartest cat i have ever fostered. He has too much intellligence and energy to be cooped up in a small space any longer. He is very independent and slow to warm up to people but he loves to play and is very charming in his own way We are looking for an adopter or foster who has a large enough space for him to run around in ; who is fine going slow in letting him get to know you and who can appreciate just how awesome he is- even if petting him is always when he decides he wants it! She is not the type of cat who likes to be held and will come to you when she wants attention. She typically wants attention while you are sitting or lying down. Once you start petting her, she cannot get enough of it! She loves to just be around people and has been compared to a dog for how frequently she will simply follow guests and people. She is an indoor outdoor cat but she really likes to be outdoors.  She is not afraid of dogs and will tolerate other cats but would prefer to be the only cat in the house.  She loves to be picked up, brushed, cuddled.   She is very mellow and cool. Phoebe has been with the same family all her life.  Sadly, I must move to help my elderly mother and it is in a complex that doesn't allow pets. She got along well with our male cat, Simba, as well as our Golden Retriever, Riley. They have both passed over the last 3 years. Sabine is now our only fur baby. She is a bit skittish of new situations and is not a fan of the cat carrier or car rides. He is black but has some lighter patches of a smokier color.  He is the only kitten out of 5 that I could not catch to take in for adoption when they were small.  He eventually returned.   The group of kittens showed up with the mother end of October 2016 when they were fairly young. Salem is the only kitten the foster couldn’t catch..  He has been TNR so the tip of his ear is clipped.  He is very friendly, walks into people’s open garages and doors like he owns the place. A very curious kitty likes to check things out.   He was indoor at a neighbor for a few weeks after being fixed and was good at using the litter box.  He likes to play with toys, use the scratching post and get scratches. Salem is very happy to just be inside snuggled on the couch or kitty bed.  Often, he just lays next to me on the couch. He is very sweet and gets along with the four other stray/ferals that I am trying to socialize.   He is long hair and has allowed me to do a little combing and cutting of knots when needed.  He is very tolerant of allowing me to put flea treatment on him.  He is very good at using a pet screen door and lets himself in and out when i have the sliding door open.  He likes both dry and wet food and enjoys treats.  He really wants to be someone’s pet and I hope I can find a forever home for him.  He has a great personality and if he sees you outside he starts talking to you and runs up to you.  Unfortunately, I live in a townhouse and the neighbors have complained about my having strays and I can’t keep them all (five of them).  He is the most socialized, friendly and outgoing personality of them all. I would love for him to get a good home where he can be spoiled and be inside all the time. He is an older guy but in good health . Foster mom thinks he may not have 20/20 kitty vision though.     He will need an experienced person to adopt him (bonus if they have Bengal experience). It would be better if he were a solo kitty, or placed in a home with a mellow and welcoming cat. He needs access to a safe outdoor place. Given his age, he isn't as energetic as younger Bengals are known to be. He does love his catnip toys and will sit on them before attacking.    He is quite vocal and will let you know when he wants to find you, doesn't like something or wants to be left alone.. Loudly. Think Siamese with a cigarette and whiskey voice. He has gorgeous eyes. Then he was diagnosed with a chronic intestional disease which threw off his diabetic managment.He has had to be hospitalized at SAGE speciaty vet x 2. When he is given his meds routinely- he does well. When he decides he has had enough meds and fights the administration of them- he becomes ill.  We are looking for someone to foster our boy and care for him through this part of his life. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Adores Being PettedZozo was rescued as a kitten in 2005, this girl was raised by her human dad for 12 years until she was sadly kicked out of the family through no fault of her own. Being a family friend, I took her in and have been getting to know her and looking for a new family.    She is definitely a senior who knows what she wants in life. While she might seem reserved and a bit grouchy when you first meet her, once she puts you firmly in her friend circle, she is simply adorable   Not exactly a lap kitty, Zozo still *adores* being pet and being near her people. Head rubs are rewarded with endless purrs and surprisingly strong head bonks. While not a fan of being picked up, she’ll tolerate it for a little bit. I was told she used to sleep on her dad’s chest and that he used to use her as a pillow, so once she loves you, I think her tolerance for cuddling is pretty high. She is also a really good conversationalist if you’re looking for someone to chat with. Zozo is a huge fan of sun bathing and food. Her stomach is definitely a way to her heart.   Best in a home without dogs. She kinda hates them. Has shown herself to be cat tolerant. Has lived with an infant and toddler, but I don’t consider her child friendly. She will avoid them.   This senior darling was pretty neglected in the last few years and deserves a loving forever home and people to call her own for keeps. Honestly, I love her and her unique personality, but my house is full.   She uses the litter box like a lady, had no current health issues and has a sense of humor.   Please ask me any questions.
