About Sam

Sam is a 2 year old, 17 pound male, Corgi Blend.  He wandered into a yard and the owners of the house captured him to keep him safe.  They made every attempt to find his owners, but none came forward.  He was neutered and microchipped, but the microchip was not registered.  No tags or collar.  We brought him into our group December 22.  He was taken to a vet and had all vaccinations updated, wormed, and heartworm tested.   Sam is a great dog.  He is very loving, but does not like to be held, picked up or too much petting.  He wants to be with you all the time and will jump a fence to be with you.  He gets along very well with the other dogs, but is definitely prey driven with cats and squirrels.  He is very smart and has learned basic commands and stay.  Will voluntarily jump in his kennel to sleep and eat.  He loves sleeping in a kennel with the door open during the day.  He is NOT good with children.  He needs a 6 foot fence to be contained and will not dig to get out.  He will need an experienced dog owner that can handle a very stubborn, loving, smart and energetic four legged friend.    If interested, please submit an application from poquitapawsrescue.org.  His adoption fee is $200.

This is Tina and Tiny. They were both dumped in the the GNW area. They roamed the streets for about 3 months before being rescued. We are asking that they be adopted together. They are happiest when together. They sleep/and play together beautifully. Tina is a 2 year old 7 pound, red miniature pincher/mixed. She’s high energy and loving. She needs a little more work with house training but is smart and quite submissive, and willing to please. She’s a little reserved around strangers and small children but warms up quickly. She’s very protective of her property and her buddy/ sibling Tiny. Tiny is a 1 year old chihuahua, weighs 5 pounds. He is a little shy but once he feels comfortable can be quite playful and cuddly. He is definitely reserved around small children. He depends on Tina for security. He also requires a little more house training. He loves small squeaky toys. Spends hours playing with Tina and his squeaky fur babies. They adapt well with other small dogs and cats. Anywhere Tina goes he gladly follows. They both do well playing together outdoors when the weather is nice and are happy to be in a kennel together for naps or in bad weather.  Both dogs have been spay/neutered, shots up to date, microchipped, and heartworm negative.  If interested in adopting these two dogs, please submit an application from www.poquitapawsrescue.org   show less
