Name: Arabella Suspected Breed(s): DSH Gender: Female Age: 1.5 years Weight: 7 lbs Personality: Sweet, friendly, shy at first Observations with Dogs: Unknown Observations with Cats: Loves other cats Observations with Kids: Not well suited to life with kids House Training Progress: Good litterbox manners Location: DC area foster home Rescued From: Pickens County, SC Additional Information: Arabella is City Kitty’s full package! She will keep a dedicated watch on the birds outside the window (don’t worry! she has them covered!). She will make sure you get lots of love when they get home and keep you company as you binge watch Netflix. She was a little shy with her foster at first, and then she blossomed into the ideal cat. Arabella is a fan of the finer things in life — relaxing on her cat tree, smooth jazz (or whatever), and stretching out with some boxed wine and Love Actually. Arabella is just waiting for some human to recognize for the beautiful kitty she knows she — despite a bit of a cloudy eye that is the sign of a past life, pre-rescue. Won’t you make her rescue complete by giving her a forever home? Apply and find out why Arabella will make your life 1,000% better. __________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines. They are tested for FIV and FeLV. Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained. We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs. show less

His mom has a terminal illness and wants him placed before her time is up. He's been loved his whole life and nothing would make her happier than to know he has a new forever home. Curtis is a really mellow cat who loves attention and isn't disruptive in seeking it. From the first moment he arrived at his foster home, he would purr and knead his paws as soon as you looked at him! He's a sweetheart who loves to lay in bed with you, cuddle and get chin and belly scratches. Yes! A kitty who likes his belly rubbed! Curtis' toy playing days are behind him, and he's pretty indifferent to treats; all he needs to be happy is to have a safe environment with someone to love and who loves him back. Won't you fulfill his mom's final wishes and apply now to bring this doll home? __________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. Name: Domino Suspected Breed(s): DSH/Tuxedo Gender: Female Age: 2 years Weight: 8 lbs Personality: Friendly, sweet, outgoing, affectionate Observations with Dogs: Unknown Observations with Cats: Unknown Observations with Kids: Unknown House Training Progress: Good litterbox manners Location: DC area foster home Rescued From: Galax County, VA Additional Information: Domino is sweet, curious, friendly and a great companion. She's not a typical lap cat, although she doesn't mind being petted (she prefers to be able to sniff your hand first and decide if she's into it right then), but she really likes to be wherever people are. Domino will sit beside you on the couch, perch on her scratching pole in the kitchen while you're cooking and will sit in an empty dining room chair during meals like she's another person at the table (she's always dressed for a formal occasion)! It's adorable. She'll consistently rub against your legs and follow you from room to room just to see what you're up to, and if she knows you're in a no-cat room, she'll meow outside the door to let you know she'd rather have you come hang out with her. In fact, it's rare that you'll have to ask “where's Domino?” because she's so likely to be in the same room you are. She plays mostly by herself with her toys, but she loves an audience and likes to play supermodel and pose for the paparazzi. Domino is a good eater; she particularly likes tuna flavor, but isn't picky. In short, if you're looking for a well behaved cutie who'll keep you company whenever you're home, you should make yours Domino's forever home! __________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application.
