Volunteer Waiver

In consideration of the opportunity afforded to me as a volunteer for Austin Boxer Rescue Boxer, and in recognition of the possible risk to which I may subject myself, I hereby knowingly, freely, and voluntarily agree to waive all claims for damages for injury to my person and /or damage to my property from which liability may or could accrue Austin Boxer Rescue, and its directors, officers, agents, employees, and volunteers, arising out of my volunteer activity with Austin Boxer Rescue. I recognize the possible risk to which I may subject myself as a volunteer for Austin Boxer Rescue, and knowingly assume all risks of any injury I might suffer to my person or property arising as a result of my volunteer activity with the Austin Boxer Rescue, and its directors, officers, agents, employees, and volunteers. Finally, I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Austin Boxer Rescue and its directors, officers, agents, employees, and volunteers from all claims, demands, losses, liability, lawsuits, liens, and judgments, including all attorneys' fees and expenses incurred, which arise out of or result, directly or indirectly, from or in connection with my volunteer services, including any causes or alleged to have been caused by the joint, concurrent, or sole negligence or other fault of any indemnities here-under. Adoption Day Safety Rules Safety is our main concern and it is important to follow our safety guidelines. Adoption Days can be stressful or the dogs so we need to make sure that we put the safety of our volunteers and our dogs as our first priority. Our safety guidelines are as follows: Do not allow dogs off leash at any time. Do not remove dogs from crates without help from a core volunteer. Always have a secure collar on dogs so it will not slip off. Keep your dog at least 5 feet away from other dogs (even if both dogs appear friendly). Dog introductions should only be done by core volunteers. Only walk one dog at a time. Always take plastic poop bag and clean up after your dog. Children under the age of 18 cannot walk a dog without an adult holding the leash. Offer water often. DO NOT attempt to break up a dog fight. Call for help from a core volunteer. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions!
