About Jake

Jake is a 4 year old male Shepherd mix we rescued from Sacramento. Due to fear based issues he has had a harder time finding the best placement. Super sweet and full of love once he trusts you Doing well with basic obedience House and crate trained Working on getting comfortable with the common city noises Learning better manners with dogs Rides well in the car Has shown some anxiety being left for long periods of time Due to his fear issues needs an adult household Will need an active family to burn that nervous energy Needs a home who can help him build his confidence; he does best with clear leadership and a routine No cats/small animals Adoption fee includes altering and current vaccinations. Additional donations always welcome. â€‹     If you are interested in adopting this dog please visit our website, www.coppersdream.org,  to get the adoption process started.  We hold adoption events from San Francisco to the South Bay. Most dogs will be ready to go home the day of the adoption event. We accept credit cards and cash for our adoption fees. While adoption events are a great showcase for these amazing dogs, you don't need an adoption event to adopt a dog. Check out our adoptable pups, submit an application, and then meet them at their foster home!  www.coppersdream.org We try to post the dogs that are attending on Facebook before the event, please visit and like us on Facebook.  https://www.facebook.com/CoppersDream To View other dogs up for adoption please visit our website, www.coppersdream.org

PERSONALITY:  Smart and loveable BREED:  Lab/pit mix (maybe Cattle dog too) AGE : 2-3 years WEIGHT : 46 lbs SEX:  Female From Tehama County. She has been in rescue receiving treatment for heartworm. She is almost done, with about a month left so she is ready to start looking for her home. Great demeanor and is very smart and lovable.  She thinks she's a lap dog!  Will follow you everywhere in the house. When Aurora is outside, she is focused on squirrels!  Crate trained, house trained, medium energy,  Great with kids (though doesn't understand her strength)  Knows sit, down, come, paw and bed.  Smart and food motivated and should be very easy to train.  Needs some guidance, stimulation and exercise.  Would do great with an active person.  Awesome with dogs, cats and people.  Loves walks, pulls a little. Loves dogs. Would love to have a playmate. Loves cats, but doesn't understand her strength. Aurora loves to follow the cat in her foster home around the house with a ball in her mouth wanting to play. Loves squeeky toys (soft toys she will shred and take out the squeeky).  Working on: not jumping on people, digging and pulling on leash, being neutral with squirrels on walks   If you are interested in adopting this dog please visit this link to get the adoption process started.
