You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Welcome to Katie's Roadside Rescue!  We are an animal rescue with the primary mission of saving dogs that have been dumped in the country or by the side of the road to fend for themselves.  Fill out an application at http://www.krrtx.org/forms/    Adoption Fee:  $170.00 Meet Carina!!! I have absolutely NO idea what mix she is but the girls all have some characteristics of long haired Whippets. What I do know is she is super cute, pretty shy yet very sweet with the softest medium length fur. Her and her sisters were dumped in a ditch and lucky for them they were rescued! Even with a shaky past she wants to be near you and watches every move checking to see if she can trust you. Carina has held out, being the last one to really come around to human touch but we are making huge strides in the trust department and she is letting me pet her more and more every day. She is very food motivated so continued training will be much easier. She will make a great companion and will do so much better with more one on one then I can give her at the rescue. Will you be her family? You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Welcome to Katie's Roadside Rescue!  We are an animal rescue with the primary mission of saving dogs that have been dumped in the country or by the side of the road to fend for themselves.  Fill out an application at http://www.krrtx.org/forms/    Adoption Fee:  $170.00 Droopy got his name because of his sad looking face and droopy ears while living as a stray and it simply stuck. But Droopy smiles now, wags his tail and romps and plays with the others. He skin feels good and he has consistent meals and a house to live in! What better ending for a stray other than finding a furever home of his own? Droopy is still a bit shy but loves belly rubs and being part of the family and sleeping at the foot of the big bed. This boy has blossomed in the few months he's been in rescue. He needs some training if you ever want him on a leash. Obedience class would absolutely make him the best most confident dog in the world. He is housetrained as well. How great is that? He gets along with big and small dogs. Not sure about cats??? Please consider giving this sweet loyal boy a chance. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Welcome to Katie's Roadside Rescue!  We are an animal rescue with the primary mission of saving dogs that have been dumped in the country or by the side of the road to fend for themselves.  Fill out an application at http://www.krrtx.org/forms/    Adoption Fee:  $170.00 L Bonnie is a mature lady that ended up in rescue. She is 8 years old and has unfortunately lost her family. She does great on a leash, loves to go for rides, loves everyone she meets and is a perfectly house mannered girl. Bonnie has been going to work with me since rescue and we all forget she is there - she just snoozes and hangs out. She has done okay with the dogs in rescue she has met but is definitely a dominant dog which many don't care for. She doesn't always care for smaller dogs so no small dogs please. Because she is a little older I would suggest no small children - she is past babysitting age. She has met a horse, steer and goats with no interest. I do not know about cats. Bonnie really needs a home of her own to finish out her retirement years. Please apply at www.krrtx.org/forms.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. THANK YOU FOR ""OPTING TO ADOPT"" show less

Nona

Australian Kelpie

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Welcome to Katie's Roadside Rescue!  We are an animal rescue with the primary mission of saving dogs that have been dumped in the country or by the side of the road to fend for themselves.  Fill out an application at http://www.krrtx.org/forms/    Adoption Fee:  $170.00 Nona has had quite the life. She ran free in a neighborhood on her own, had a litter of pups who were saved on New Years Day and a few months later she was finally caught and fixed and taken to a foster home. After a few days she escaped. A few days later she rethought her position in life and went back to the fosters front door and barked to go back inside. She's been there since. We figure after being back on the streets a few days she decided inside living with food, water and love was much better. Since, Nona has really adapted to the family living. She is house trained, loves to play with her toys and the other dogs, loves belly rubs and even nudges for attention. When going for walks, she stays with her foster siblings but she will not allow a leash to be put on - it simply scares her too much. So she will either need a lot of patience in training or she needs a secured home and back yard big enough to get some exercise. Nona deserves a chance to have a permanent home and a great life like all dogs do.
