You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. While SVPP strongly believes that most domestic kitties will live longer and healthier lives indoors, we occasionally encounter kitties better suited to a life with a little more freedom.  Sometimes these are older kittens that were captured past the prime time to socialize them and they're not as friendly as we had hoped they'd become. Others are adults that have had outdoor lives previously and are truly struggling to acclimate to a life indoors. Some are truly feral and need to be relocated from their original territory.  Many of these kitties believe strongly in being seen, but not touched. In exchange for food and access to shelter, they'll keep rodents out of your garage and yard. They'll provide passive companionship as you relax on your patio or in your yard, content to lounge in the sun.  Our commitment to their healthcare is the same: all cats will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV/FeLV, treated for fleas and other parasites, and microchipped. We ask that guardians seeking a feline for their garden, yard, shop, barn, porch, or garage be willing to provide shelter, food, water, and basic veterinary care. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. show less

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Every now and then, we encounter a dog who just breaks our hearts. Ike was one of these. His spine and hips poked through his skin. He was was covered in mats and scabs, and the only places that weren't matted were bald! This poor little guy had been living with untreated allergies and the resulting secondary infections for who knows how long.  Safe in his foster home, he's taking meds, getting baths, and learning all about the good life. He's on the road to recovery and he is HAPPY. He peacefully co-exists with cats as well as other dogs, though he doesn't care for rowdy or rambunctious dogs.  He's housetrained, polite on leash, and rides nicely in the car. He's on the mend and is starting to grow back some of his missing hair.  We are open to a potential foster-to-adopt placement in the south bay area. Applicants would be signed up as a foster home for SVPP and would continue Ike's medical treatment (at our expense) until he is healthy, at which point they'd be able to adopt him. It's a great opportunity to bond with a new family member as you help him get healthy again!   Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetprojectVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. show less
