Meet Gino. Mister tall, dark and so handsome. While we don't know much about this four-year old's history, it was clear when he came to us that he had a rough start in life. Thankfully, Gino is a very smart boy with a resilient spirit and zest for life....especially when it comes to snuggling. This guy loves love and is happy to meet and hang with just about anyone. If you're they type of person who likes to wind down at the end of the day and chill, Gino is your guy. Yep. He's a 75 pound lap dog. And, if he can't sit on your lap, he's happy to sit on your feet. Gino is also potty-trained, what more could you ask for?Gino enjoys walks, playing ball, people watching, sleeping on the couch, bully sticks and tug of war (good luck trying to win---he's one strong boy). With that said, we think Gino would do best in a home without children since he doesn't know his own size or strength. Gino also needs to be in a home without other pets. He came to us with some dog reactivity issues, but has been working through them while in foster care. He's a smart boy and is quickly learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all.Gino knows sit, down, look at me and stay. His foster mom is so impressed by how quickly he learns and adjusts to new environments. While Gino is a big, strong boy, he has a very gentle soul and will flourish with someone who will teach and guide him in a kind, positive manner. Chopped up hot dogs also help. Lastly, we think Gino might have allergies (who doesn't these days?), so regular ear cleanings and Benadryl are part of his current regimen. You can check out Gino's Facebook page if you want to see him in action in his foster home: Gino the Snuggle Bug. *baton rap on music stand* Ladies and gentlemen, introducing The Anti-Cruelty Society Orchestra! Maestro was brought in from the cold by a kindhearted woman. A few weeks later, Maestro gave birth to four kittens. They were eventually brought in to us for care. Babies Sousaphone, Vuvuzela, Bugle, and Fiddle were joined about one week later by an orphaned litter of four - Fife, Banjo, Glockenspiel, and Piccolo. But Maestro didn't stop there; she adopted one more lonely orphan, Kazoo. Maestro has been a phenomenal mom to her brood. These are all sweet kittens who love people and each other. We strongly encourage adopting in pairs if there isn't another cat at home awaiting one of the little guys. A few things of note:- Sousaphone and Vuvuzela are kittens turned up to 11. We do not recommend that they go as a pair together unless you have experience raising littermates from early kittenhood. These two are intrepid and super-confident and will turn your world upside down. - Though they are all playful (they're kittens, after all), Fiddle seems to be the athlete. She is acrobatic, plays with gusto, and has the most stamina. And she thinks climbing drapes is SO. MUCH. FUN! She also likes to "help" when the litter boxes are being scooped - grabbing plastic bags is fun, too!- Bugle (the best kitten in the world, in this writer's opinion) and Fife are just sweet social butterflies. They are often the first to approach people. Fife climbs into laps; Bugle is relaxed when held and is a big flirt.- Sousa is quite chatty when he wants attention and is becoming quite snuggly and is quick to purr.- Banjo and Kazoo are the two who tend to watch and weigh the pros and cons before getting involved in the action. Kazoo especially can get a bit overwhelmed by chaos and might be best in a home that is a bit more calm - the house that is the neighborhood hangout for all the kids is not ideal for him.We are going to sorely miss this group but it is time for them to go to their families now. If you are looking for a kitten or two to make you smile and laugh and make your house a home, look no further! show less
