About Coy- sweet & easy boy!

Courtesy listing! Please contact Carrie at nursecarrie@mac.com to inquire on Coy. If Coy were an actor he would be Dustin Hoffman. He possesses a quiet wisdom and a kind heart. We don’t know much about his past other than he was an owner surrender when they lost their home. He spent over 2 months in the Harbor shelter alone in a small crate. However, the day we took him home as a foster he was instantly loving, sweet and bonded to us quickly. He gets along great with all small and medium dogs, both male and female (we don’t have any large so I haven’t tried him with large dogs- but I am sure he would do great with a non-aggressive large dog). He loves all people.. men, women, and children. I do not have cats so I don’t know how he would be with cats. I imagine he would do fine and just ignore them. He is a gentle and quiet soul . We got another foster recently and he made room for him to share his bed in the living room. I have never heard him bark. I have only heard him whimper a few times when he is still hungry after dinner and wants more food (so of course he gets more J). He quickly learned the ropes of where to potty in the backyard. He is housetrained if he is let out every 4 or so hours. If he has a wee-wee pad and you are gone longer and he needs to go he will go on that. He is good on a walk and doesn’t pull. He is learning sit very nicely. We are still working on sitting for a treat. He is very food motivated and gets super excited with treats. Coy has partial vision loss due to cataracts but he doesn’t let that stop him from anything or enjoying his life. He gets around without any trouble. He is occasionally a little wonky with his “footing” as he navigates new terrain. The first couple days he just needed to learn where the steps were in our house and after that he was confident getting around. He has no health problems other than cataracts. He is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. If you would like to meet this sweet little man and possibly give him a forever home, please contact me at nursecarrie@mac.com

*Courtesy Listing! Please contact lisakuhnle@yahoo.com or call 909-206-7112 to inquire on these girls!* Meet Cookie and Candy! These girls were found running loose together. Cookie (the dark one) was pregnant when we found her and we believe that Candy (tan) is her daughter from a previous litter. Cookie gave birth to 5 pups back in March and they have all found homes of their own. These girls are very bonded and we will be trying our absolute best to find a home that is willing to adopt them together. They are both young at about 1 and 2 years old. They are the sweetest and most easy going girls! They can be shy at first and take a little time to get comfortable with new people, but they are very loving and snuggly. They would be perfect for anyone looking for two mellow and affectionate lap dogs. They are great with other dogs too! Since they can be a little nervous at first, we are looking for a home that has older children if there are children in the home. They are doing very well with housetraining and are great as long as they are able to get in and out to use the bathroom or can be let outside often enough. (Of course there is always an adjustment when going from one environment to the next, so sometimes accidents may happen in the beginning.) If you are interested in them, please contact lisakuhnle@yahoo.com or call 909-206-7112.  These girls are spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccinations and dewormed. There is an application, phone interview, home check, adoption contract and adoption fee required. show less

Description of pet Courtesy listing! Please contact Theresa via email at theresagetsyoufit@gmail.com or via text at 619-203-6823. Corazon aka Cora is approx 7 yrs old, approx 50-55 lbs, spayed, current on vacs, housetrained, good with kids over 10 yrs of age, she's extremely cuddly, loves squeaky toys, great in car rides HER BIO: Mi Corazon is what this beautiful girl's foster mom calls her but she'll answer to Cora, pip squeak, bubba or whatever you'd like to call her! She just loves people and attention, and she'll give you 150% back cuz that's just how she rolls. We don't know much about her past but it was apparent it was a very rough one when she was rescued from the streets of TJ Mexico around March 2019 as she was in pretty bad condition.... BUT look at her now!!! Corazon has left her past behind and now living the life that every dog deserves but now ready for her own forever home. She would be best as the only pet in the household and good with kids over the age of 10 years old, but promises to cuddle with each and every family member as needed any time! She loves to play with squeaky toys, go on walks and car rides but overall, just being around her humans. If you have any questions about Cora or would like to meet her in person, please contact her foster mom, Theresa via email at theresagetsyoufit@gmail.com or via text at 619-203-6823. Cora is looking forward to hopefully meeting you! show less
