Hi everyone! My name is Angus and I’m a sweet bundle of love! I’m a handsome happy guy and we think I’m about 3 years old. I’m a very affectionate pup and will gladly be by your side so I can receive lots and lots of attention. LOVE getting butt scratches and it’s one of my favorite things! Will follow you around the house, but am also very mellow and calm. If you need to spend time working, I will lay down on the floor next to you or on the sofa and give you some space. As you know how we dogs are like 4 year old children, if you are on your laptop for too long, I will let you know it’s time to play! Not particularly toy motivated, but I’m definitely playful. Wrestling with my foster dad is sooo much fun! Know how to play gentle and will not nip at you. My manners on leash could use a little work, but I am always eager to learn! I’m mostly well behaved, but when we pass another dog I often get animated. We are not sure how I feel about other dogs, since we haven’t done any meet-and-greets yet. FRIENDLY with other people! Absolutely fine to be left alone so that you can leave home to attend to your personal business. My foster dad says I’m perfectly behaved when he is away and out to play! The same goes for when its bedtime. It takes me a minute or two to settle down, but then will sleep all through the night. If you bring me home with you, you’ll get the sweetest and most devoted dog of your life. I’ll love you forever if you’ll just give me scratches and love! Won’t you be my forever family?  Please help us get sweet Angus into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Don't forget, Passion for Pitties is a 501(c)(3), so all donations are tax-deductible!…every little bit helps! This little cutie pie is 3-year-old Bella. She was brought into the San Diego Humane Society on 1/2/2020 for emergency boarding and was absolutely terrified and distrusting of shelter staff. Within a couple of days, though, Bella warmed up and started happily greeting her new friends at the front of her kennel with her favorite raccoon toy, waiting for pets and love. Since arriving at her foster home, Bella has turned into a happy-go-lucky dog. She is an adult dog that has the spirit of a puppy without the mess! Loves belly rubs and to be next to you. She takes a little bit of time to warm up, but once she does its kisses and love all day! She plays fetch and loves other animals and will shake with joy to play with them. This can be a little intimidating for her foster cat siblings, but Bella has shown only love. Would still do best in a home with no cats. Bella would do best with a family of dog savvy owners that are diligent and willing to continue doing the good work her foster mom has done in getting her trained. She is extremely good natured, just gets excitable when others around her act that way. Bella is great with other dogs, so would make a nice addition for families that already have dogs. Looking to place with a family with no small children. Bella knows sit, shake, lay down, stay and come, so far. She is also crate trained, but prefers much more to sit with you on the couch and eat snacks. Bella tends to resource guard when she has too many plushie toys around her, but has no issues at all with just one or two. The staff at the Humane Society thinks she had puppies shortly before arriving to the shelter and that she may be guarding small toys seeing them as her babies. Please help us get sweet Bella into a safe, loving forever home! If that home isn’t with you, you can still help her by liking, commenting, sharing, and pledging (just comment “pledge” and the amount you’re committed to donating once we find a home for her)…every little bit helps! If you’d like to adopt Bella, please fill out an application at www.passionforpitties.com under the “Adorable Adoptables” heading. show less

Hi everyone! My name is Coco and I’m 45 pounds of wiggle-butt love! I'm a female brindle Boxer-Pit Bull mix and we think I'm about 2 years old. My favorite activity is sitting between my human’s feet and getting lots and lots of head scratches – though belly rubs are a close second! I’m not particularly toy motivated, but I’m definitely a playful pup. I love rolling around on the floor next to my humans and licking their ears, and I love chasing them around the house for a game of tag. Don’t even try to tell me that I’m not a lap dog – if you sit on the floor, that lap is mine! My foster mom has worked on a couple of basic commands with me, so I understand “sit”, “stay” and “come” (even if sometimes it seems like I don’t). I’m kind of stubborn and I don’t get along with cats – I tend to chase them around the house and scare the heck out of them. I’m much better around non-feline small animals, and usually leave birds, squirrels, etc. alone. My manners on leash could use a little work, but I am always eager to learn! I’m mostly well behaved, but when we pass another dog or person I ALWAYS want to say “hi!” I haven’t been around any children yet, but my foster mom says that I don’t react when my tail or ears are tugged. Since my tail is a weapon of mass destruction, she thinks I’d be best with slightly older or taller kids – maybe 5 years old+. I also haven’t gotten to spend much time with other dogs off-leash but am very gentle and friendly with them on-leash. If you bring me home with you, you’ll get the sweetest and most devoted dog of your life. I’ll love you forever if you’ll just give me scratches and love! Won’t you be my forever family? :) Please help us get sweet Coco into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Hello everyone! My name is Donnie! I am a sweet, goofy boy whose personality is emerging more and more every day as I get settled with my humans. Was in pretty bad shape when I arrived at the shelter, as it looks like I was used as a bait dog, but the wonderful people at Passion For Pitties were so kind to pull me and give me a chance at a better life. Below is a little bit more about me: • Super SWEET with humans and am the biggest cuddle bug ever! Enjoy pets and will melt your heart as you look into my eyes! • Because I’m a big lug, I would do best with a family of adults or one with older children. • Don’t tell me I’m not a lap dog. If you’re sitting down, that lap is mine! • LOVE my humans so much, that it’s hard for me when we are apart. Looking for a kind soul that will give me the reassurance I need. • Learning my basic commands, but am told I’m an A+ student. • Working on my manners with training from my humans. Have so much love to give and just want to say “hello!” • Am eager to please and just need to learn what you want from me. • My zoomies are top notch! Ideally would have a home with a yard to play in. • We aren’t sure yet how I am around other dogs, but would probably be best to be the only pet in the home. I am a sweetheart who really wants a family to help me become the best dog ever. Am going to need some extensive training. Unfortunately, I just didn't get the opportunity to learn early on. However, the humans that have rescued me will provide all the training tools necessary so that my foster/adopter can help me to realize the happy, loving life that I deserve! Will that be you? Please help us get sweet Donnie into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Hello everyone! My name is Kenny and am a SUPER handsome stud! I wound up at the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility because sadly my human family decided they no longer wanted to care for me. I’m not sure why, since I would never abandon them! The wonderful people at Passion For Pitties were so kind to pull me from the shelter and now I spend my days with my lovely foster family. My foster is still getting to know me, but I have settled in quite nicely since arriving home. Below is a little bit more about me: • I’m approximately 9 years old. • Weigh in at a svelte 90 pounds. • Overall my demeanor is quite calm and I’m very well behaved. • LOVE people and am a crowd favorite whenever I’m out in public! • Enjoy nothing more than spending time with my foster family and soaking up their AFFECTION! I will cry if we are not together. Who would have thought that a big guy like me would? • GREAT with all dogs, big and small. However, don’t like it when bigger dogs show aggression towards me. • I’m adventurous and always up for a car ride! • Going for walks is another favorite activity. • Am potty-trained and know some basic commands like “sit” and “down/off.” Also know “go to bed.”:) Please help us get sweet Kenny into a safe, loving forever home! Hello everyone! My name is Noah! I am a big bundle of love and as sweet as they come, despite having suffered severe abuse while living on the streets of Tijuana Mexico. The wonderful people at Passion For Pitties were so kind to rescue me and now I spend my days with my lovely foster family. My fosters say that I have settled in quite nicely since arriving home. Below is a little bit more about me: • LOVE my foster humans and will follow around my foster dad wherever he goes! • Great with children too. • I am sooo SMART…probably one of the smartest dogs you will ever meet! • Hanging out on my bed and playing with my toys is great, but nothing beats spending time with my foster family. • Always up for going on a walk. Who wouldn’t be? Great on a leash and do not pull. • Very well-mannered dog that wants to be loved. • Don’t do well in a crate. Could be because of my past, but will sleep at the foot of the bed all through the night. • Running around the yard is so much FUN! Just be sure to keep an eye on me, as I love to explore. • Generally good with other dogs unless they are bigger than me. With training, I’m sure I could improve on this. I’m a good boy and just want to please! • Snore like a bear. My fosters hope this improves once my nose gets fixed. • Potty-trained and will let you know when I need to go outside by standing next to the door. Sweet Noah suffers from some skin issues, which is typical for a dog that has lived on the streets for any period of time. He also has some breathing problems and some missing teeth. In addition to the love and care that his foster family is showing him, Noah will need ongoing medical care in order to help him make a full recovery. Please help us get sweet Noah into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Don't forget, Passion for Pitties is a 501(c)(3), so all donations are tax-deductible!…every little bit helps! Hi everyone! Our names are Poncho & Lucky! We grew up in a wonderful home with a loving owner that always took great care of us. Sadly, our owner recently passed away and we are both heartbroken. We are 4 years old (Poncho) and 2 years old (Lucky) and have always been together since Lucky was born. We are super bonded and really look out for each other. We really need to be adopted together because of our strong bond and will not be separated under any circumstances. Thank you so much for understanding!!! Below is a little bit more about Poncho (tan & gray male): • LOVE people and want nothing more than to be a lap dog. If you forget to pay me enough attention, I will remind you by gently placing my paw on you! • Playtime is the best and always love to play fetch in the backyard. • Playtime with other dogs is WONDERFUL and get along with all dogs. • Great on a leash and ignore all distractions. • Do well with children. • Overall my manners are really good, but still need a little bit of guidance from you. I’m a good boy and want to learn! • Am potty-trained and crate-trained. • Know how to sit and learning other basic commands as well. Below is a little bit more about Lucky (black & white female): • A ball of JOY that lives life at a slower pace than my brother Poncho. • Shy at first, but I warm up quickly and love attention. • Playing with my doggie brothers is nice for short amounts of time, but my favorite activity is lounging on any COMFY surface. Will steal your seat on the couch if you leave it even for a moment! • Always up for an adventure and happy to follow my brother Poncho around. • Great on a leash and ignore all distractions. • Do well with children. • Am potty-trained and crate-trained. • Know how to sit and learning other basic commands as well. Hello everyone! My name is Scooby! I’m a lovable pup that has had a rough start in life. I suffered from a severe leg injury that has resulted in an injury to a second leg. That hasn’t stopped me from living life to the fullest and it never brings me down! While my foster family and the folks at Passion For Pitties are in the process of getting me the help I need to resolve these injuries so I can lead a full and active life, they are accepting applications for this sweet and fun pup. Below is a little bit more about this handsome boy: • I’m a 5 month old ball of FUN! • In true puppy form, I am playful, silly and inquisitive. • Even though I’m a puppy, I’m potty-trained, crate-trained and even know how to sit.  • Moldable pup that is eager to learn. • Enjoy my toys and always look forward to playing fetch with you. • LOVE to go on car rides and make a great travel companion! • Playtime with other dogs is WONDERFUL and get along with all dogs, although being young I can be a bit enthusiastic, so I am still learning how to interact with them. Larger dogs would be best. • Am sooo SMART and have already learned a bunch….eager to please and learn more! • I’m good with kids (best with those a bit older) and would make a great addition to any family. • Always up for any adventure! Please help us get sweet Scooby into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated.
