Buenos Dias, mi amigos! My name is Boss and I am looking for a family to share my life with. All my dog friends call me bossy. I have to remind them that I am not bossy, I am the Boss! I get along best with dogs my size, they respect my authority. If you want to know a secret, I am really afraid of big dogs, but dont tell them that please. When there are multiple people at my foster families house, I will run from room to room to make sure everyone is safe, and to check on what they are doing. There are a lot of responsibilities that come with being in charge. When I get a break from patrol, I love to play fetch. I am very fast, and take this game very seriously. Hmmm…What else can I tell you about me? I was born 12/09/2012; My original owner and I were very happy together for many years. Sadly, my owner became very ill, and their family came and took me to the shelter. They said that my owner was too sick to take care of me any longer. I was incarcerated for over 2 months; I didnt want to interact with any of the visitors, I just laid on my bed and shivered. I was heartbroken. I love all people, but have a soft spot in my heart for people of retirement age. They have the best laps, dont you think? I would do best in a home with no young children, I can be particular about sharing my toys, and my food. My foster mom says that I have been her favorite chihuahua foster EVER because I have such a charming personality. Everyone loves me! I LOVE meeting new people, and dressing up. We go to dinner at restaurants a lot, and sometimes I even get to go to work! I am a social butterfly and am a hit at all the parties I attend. With a wardrobe like mine though, what would you expect? Foster mom says that I am a very confident little guy and a great companion. I weigh 8 lbs, am neutered, micro chipped, current on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. She also wants my adoptive family to know that she loves me very much and is going to want updates on me in your new home. Until my pawfect furever home is found, I am living on foster mom’s ranch with 9 other dogs, lots of horses, cats, and chickens. All the dogs here understand that I am the social director, so we dont have any problems! I go on a 2 mile walk with foster mom every day (off leash) and I stay right by her side. When we are at the house, I sit on foster mom’s lap when she is working on her laptop…or watching TV…or reading the newspaper. Really, anytime I can snuggle on her lap works for me. It is so nice to be cuddled and loved again. I follow my foster mom everywhere…into the barn, up and down the hallway, into the kitchen, into her closet, I am even great in the car! Please consider adopting me, I am a really great dog that would love my own human lap. show less

Hey, yo, so I'm Dewey. That's right. Dewey. You got a problem with that? I know what you are thinking. I'm only 9 pounds, a Chihuahua-Yorkie, a real cutie pie, a purse dog, right? Wrong. I mean, I'm adorable, but I am a real dog, not some little bit of floof. I'm 9 months old and I might be little, but I'm not pushover. So let's put our cards on the table. Strangers? I like to get to know a person before I decide to let 'em rub my belly, you know what I'm sayin'? I don't think this is unreasonable. I like other dogs, but I need a slow introduction, especially to the big ones. Cats? Not sure. Kids? How the heck should I know? Never been around 'em. I guess what I'm saying here is that I would like to be the only four-legged in a house with adults. I don't think this is too much to ask, because I am adorable, as anyone with eyes can see. Whadda ya wanna know? Yeah, I have all my shots, a heartworm test, a microchip, and, yeah -- tragically, I was neutered in February. I don't wanna talk about it. I am house-trained. I go to the door when I need to go out because that's just good manners. I'm crate trained as well – there's nothin' like a crate nap when the world just feels too big, you know? Hey, can we talk about the interesting stuff? I like cuddles with my people. I like backyards with someone who likes to chase me. I like my Kong and chewing on something made for dogs. I try to be a tough guy, but the truth is, I'm a lover. I'll nap in my crate, but I'd rather nap on your lap while you watch whatever it is you people watch – doesn't matter to me. So whadda ya think? I'm cute, right? I got adorable written all over me? Still a puppy, but not entirely brand new, if you get my drift? If I'm your pup, make your move. We've got a lot of cuddling to do. show less

Call me Dink! I'm a 45 pound 10 month old blue heeler mix. Just so you know, I am no ordinary dog. I am an energetic girl who needs a job to do, even if that job is the constant monitoring of my person. I'm really smart, like smart enough to use tools smart. I wouldn't say I am easy going, but I sure am easy to love. For the right family or individual, I could be the dog of a lifetime. Did I mention I am pretty much a genius? I can already sit, lie down, shake, and roll over. I'm crate trained, house trained, and so responsive to people. I'm smiley and happy, but I am going to need a person who knows what a heeler is all about and wants to work with me to maximize my potential. I would make an amazing agility dog – I'm lightning fast and oh, do I love a challenge! People? I just adore people. Kids? I love them, but as an energetic pup, I am not a good fit for really little ones – I might knock them over. Older kids? Yes please. Dogs and cats? Nope. I will be all the dog you need, and as of right now I am not a fan of other dogs. I want to protect my family and I don't need a dumber dog getting in the way. Cats? Aren't they just domestic squirrels? Great for chasing, but I can't see myself living in harmony with them. So are we a match? Are you my human? Because I am as loyal as they come and ready for a forever home. And hey, I'm so smart you might be able to teach me to do your taxes! show less

Sweet, easy going, gentle, loving..these are just a few of the adjectives people use to describe me. My story is a happy, sad, and then happy again. I was adopted by my original owner as a mere pup of 8 weeks old. We lived happily together along with three other doggies and 4 cats (happy). My original owner became older and ill and couldn't take care of us or himself anymore (sad). He moved to a place called "assisted care" that does not allow doggies or kitties (sad). Enter my rescue angel (happy). I am living with a nice foster family until a nice person, couple or family decides to adopt me (maybe it could be you? :) Happily ever after ending!! :) I am a male yellow Labrador Retriever mix. I definitely got my love genes from the Labrador side of the family; I am great with other dogs, cats, and kids...as well as grown up kiddos..AKA adult hoomans! :) I know lots of "people pleasing" behaviors...including sit, heel, stay, and shake. My favorite toy is my ball and I will play with it as long as someone will throw for me:) If I have a toy and another dog or pup wants it, that is ok by me!! Plenty of toys in the toy box and not enough time in our lives to be ugly or mean spirited! I will just give up my toy and go and find another diversion...no big deal. I am definitely "the glass is half full" kind of dog. I am easy going and laid back with a very sweet nature and happy disposition. Did I mention that my favorite thing is getting scritches around my ears...or maybe my favorite thing is going for walks around the neighborhood...or maybe it is sitting next to my Foster Mum watching TV? Can I have three favorite things? I will check with Foster Mum and get back wid you!! I am a quiet gentleman "of a certain age" and am well mannered and gentle. If you are searching for a healthy, steadfast companion, I am your guy!! Please don't let my age stand in the way of our beautiful relationship!! I have lots of love to give and still have plenty of years to do that!! show less

Anyone that has ever watched the movie the Lion King knows the opening line of: "NAAAAANTS INGOOONYAMA BAGITHI BABA." Did you know this Zulu phrase translates to "There comes a Lion"? I was named after the King Lion (Simba's father) in this beloved Disney movie, but this line is definitely not about me. I am a dog, not a lion! According to Urban Dictionary, Mufasa is a nickname for an amazing individual. If you are given the nickname of Mufasa then you are majestic, amazing, and loving. True, true, and true!! In real life, I am not a Lion King at all, but a very accommodating and loving Family dog. My hairytage is from Newfoundland, and America, not Africa, and I am proudly a Labrador Retriever. and Chessie mix. My most outstanding feature is my smile...or maybe it is my eyes? When I am trying to win favor with a hooman, I just scrinch up my liquid chocolate colored eyes and give them a toothy grin!! Works every time! I am a loveable, goofy guy and I love kids and other dogs. I love to play fetch, know how to sit, come when called , walk on my leash, and am crate and house trained. Like most young Labrador Retrievers, I am energetic and would do best in a home with a large yard and someone to play with...either human or canine...preferably, both!!! I really enjoy companionship and have been great with the other foster dogs at Foster Mum's ranch. I need games that use my brain, I need exercise, I need play time. I need owners who will wear me out daily because I have a BIG brain and energy and so my owners have to know how to give me what I need!!! I was surrendered to the rescue when my family had a change in their work schedules and didn't feel they could give me the attention I deserve. If you are looking for a sweet-faced, lovable, friendly pup who is outgoing with more than enough affection to go around, please fill out an application and adopt me today!! show less

I am Pawblo and I someone broke my heart, but I still think people are the best thing ever. I’ve had a tough time and I ended up in a shelter on death row. Yeah, that’s right. A handsome guy like me. Some good people noticed that I am a very good boy and got me out of there. I am so happy because now I am in foster care and I remember that it is SO good to be someone’s dog. I’m a 6 year old shepherd mix and I weigh about 60 pounds. I love all people, big and little, and I am a pretty laid back guy who just wants to hang out with the humans and take some good naps. I’d love to go hiking with you in the morning and then sack out all afternoon watching sports (OK, sports re-runs, but that’s fine with me). I like other doggos just fine, as long as they aren’t rowdy jerks. I had enough of that at the shelter and I just want to get along peacefully. I love most things, but I have a few dislikes. I don’t like cats. Don’t like ‘em, can’t trust ‘em. I don’t like thunder boomers – they scare me, so I’m gonna just hide under the bed until it’s over. Last thing, I want to be my human’s best boy and companion. So I’d love a home where my humans are around a lot. You work from home? Cool. I’m chill enough to wait for you to wrap up the work day. But I like being near you, and hey, if you decide you need to get some fresh air, I can help with that! You know how I said someone broke my heart? Well, it’s mended now because my attitude is positive and I’m around people who love me. I am such a good boy who just wants to find my forever home, and I hope that’s with you. show less

"A Penny for your thoughts", "A pretty Penny", "Pennies from heaven"....yes, that's my favorite!! I am a little Penny from Heaven :) Hmmm...I also like that "Pretty Penny" thing, as well!! So much positive energy surrounding my name!! I am a pawfectly beautiful Springer Spaniel/Labrador hybrid..only I don't run on petrol and electric, I run on love and milk bones!! I have a smooth, speckled coat and my coat is low shedding and low maintainence! My personality is sweet, sweet, sweet with hoomans I know, but can be shy upon meeting newcomers. I get on very well with dogs that are smaller than I am, but dogs my size and larger scare me!! I react by barking at them; I just hope that they leave me alone!! I love to play with toys at my foster moms house. I will carry on a one dog game of catch by tossing my toys in the air and running to catch them!! Always a people pleaser!! :) I am a mediumish size doggett weighing in at a svelte 45 pounds! :) I am house trained and know "sit" and "come". I walk well on a leash and enjoy my outdoor time. I hope you decide, "The Penny stops here" (wait a second, I may have gotten that one mixed up with 'buck'? :) ..but whatever, remember that "A Penny saved is a Penny earned"...but, you will not have to earn my love...my love don't cost a thing!! My name is Sasha, and I am the nicest Staffordshire terrier mix you ever want to meet. Your kids (both human and dog kids) will love me because I look like a delightful Oreo cookie and I am just as sweet, if I do say so myself. I'm quite petite at 43 pounds – I'm a "big dog" who isn't really big! I'm 7 years old, so I have all the maturity that comes with experience (I won't eat your favorite boots), but I am still an active lady on the go. OK, nobody's perfect -- I have an attitude problem about cats and I just can't deal with their nonsense. But when it comes to people and dogs, I am your new best friend. I love lots of pets and cuddles – I am on board for your next Netflix binge and you can always choose the show, as long as I get to be near you. Need a gardening partner? I will keep you company while you thin those seedlings. Did you say BBQ? I would love to watch you baste those ribs. With great interest. Politely, of course. Of course, I need a fenced yard to play in, and I don't like to be left alone in the yard; please bring me inside with you or I might try to figure my own way out (I am quite smart). I would love to be in a home with someone who works from home or is retired and can hang out with me. I'm just a lover and I want to be with my people. I've had all my recent shots, I'm spayed, and I'm heartworm negative, of course. I'm all ready for my new family and I can't wait to meet you! show less

"Sweet little Shelia you'll know her when you see her, brown eyes and a doggie tail"..please excuse my literary license with the lyrics from this 1969 hit song by Tommy Roe. So amazing, I have a song named after me..oh, wait a minute....the song was written in 1962 and I am only 2 years old!! Maybe I was named after the song? Whatever, it is still so AWESOME!!!! I am a 2 year old Labrador Retriever hybrid!! But, I don't run on petrol and electric, I run on milk bones, scritches, and approval. I absolutely love my milk bones and being a people pleasing and treat motivated kind of dog, training should be easy peasy!! I respond immediately to praise or admonitions. A well know fact, the Labrador Retriever is the most popular dog in the U.S, Canada, and the UK. From the Labrador Retriever, I inherited my playful sense of humor, friendliness, intelligence, and a desire to be with my hooman. In my perfect life, I could be with my own hooman most of the day; I thrive on interaction and will blossom in a loving supportive home life. By nature, I am devoted, attentive and loving. I like to point at birds when we go out for our walks; don't know if I get this characteristic from my Lab background or if there might be some English Pointer in my hairytage. My favorite thing is snuggling...or maybe it is eating Milk Bones while snuggling....or maybe it is going for walks...and then having a Milk Bone? Can I have three favorite things? I will check with my Foster Mum and get back with you!! I get on well with the other dogs at Foster Mum's house and we like to play tug-o-war and chase. Who doesn't like a good game of chase? Foster Mum has some strange smelling creatures called "cat" at our house. I don't really have much interaction with them, but ry to steer clear and leave them be. If they take off running, I might chase them...like I said, who doesn't like a good game of chase? I am house trained and crate trained; I am quiet in my crate unless I need to go out. Then, I will whine to let you know it is time to take my bidness outside! After reading my bio, I hope that you will fill out an online application and adopt me today! You will be humming the lyrics from my song! We're so doggone happy just bein' around together, Man this little girl is fine"!! show less

Let’s discuss all the ways that I, Soleil, am just a perfect dream dog. I’ll start. 1. I am two years old. I know right? Perfect. I’m housetrained, crate trained, leash trained, and over all that silly puppy shenanigans, while still being a shiny bouncy girl. 2. I weigh 45 pounds, but I really need to gain a little weight, so you can give me treats anytime you want. Treat training is a great way to teach me all the cool tricks, and if I pack on a few pounds, it’s a win-win. You see? Perfect! 3. I’m a lab mix. Labs have such a winning easygoing temperament. 4. I am a little hesitant when I meet new people. I see this as a good thing, because I know not everyone is perfect. However, once I get to know you, I will adore you. 5. I am an athlete. I would love to be your hiking buddy, your running buddy, your Frisbee catcher, your backyard racer, your agility girl, whatever you want to teach me! But like the athlete I am, I love a good sports massage, also known as belly rubs. I’m affectionate and cuddly and I like watching sports with you almost as much as playing them. So, as you can see, I am quite a good girl, almost perfect, and I only need a forever home and some forever humans to make this a perfect love story. You don’t have to be perfect – just perfect for me. show less

Hi! My name is Sprite – yes, I am that sweet and fizzy! I am a 5 month old lab mix and, as you can see, I am just darling. (I know this because the humans keep saying, "Isn't Sprite darling?") Right now, I am still a pup at 20 pounds, but I plan on being double that by the time I am done growing. Just the right size, don't you agree? The sad part is that I was abandoned with my mom and siblings when we were little, but the happy part is we are all fine and ready for our forever homes now. I am crate and potty trained already! At 5 months! I think I might be gifted. I go right in my crate and wait politely for a treat. I am learning nice leash manners and I would love to be your walking buddy. I can be a little shy at first, but I warm right up as soon as I get some pets and ear scratches and some reassurance. I love all other dogs, although I am quite submissive so I would love to live with other doggos who aren't too rowdy. I love kids so much -- their faces are lower to the ground and sometimes they have peanut butter on them! So exciting! I have not met what they call "cats" but I am young and I think I can learn to get along. Oh! One more thing -- I love the water (hello! I'm part lab!) and would love to swim or go out on your boat! Could we do that? Even a kiddie pool in your backyard is super fun! Best way to tire out kids and puppies – put them in water, am I right? So can I be your sweet Sprite, your best friend and forever dog? I am ready and waiting for my person or my family. show less
