Meet AJ, this little guy is about 1 year old and weighs about 9lbs. AJ's foster mom tells us that he is a bit of a nervous little fella when he is in situations with a lot of commotion. He would love to find himself a calm, low key home where he can hang out with his human all day. Once he feels at home AJ is very playful and loves to be close to people, he is fine with other dogs and has done well with the cats in his foster home. If you think AJ is meant to be part of your family and you are interested in learning more and speaking with her adoption coordinator and foster mom please fill out an application at www.caretx.org/adopt. Bogey loves to be to with you on the couch just chillin and getting his belly rubbed. He can be a bit shy at first, he likes to find quiet and safe hiding places but everyday he loses a small layer of his shell. He's slowly coming around. He is a sweet boy and he wants to make you happy. He will kiss you and lick you for hours if he could. He is definitely starving for someones special love and attention. He is the sweetest little guy who wants a human to love forever and to be loved back. Did we mention that he is also the perfect lazy couch day companion!? Meet Colbie, this pretty girl had quite the rough year and is hoping to turn it all around! She wound up in the city shelter with an attack wound on her neck. After spending about a week at the shelter she was placed on the kill list due to over crowding thats when we spotted her. She has the sweetest face and most pleading eyes and we knew we had to help. Since coming to us Colbie spent about a week in our vets care getting her attack wounds treated. She was then moved to a foster home where she is comfortably waiting to find her forever home! Colbie is around 3 years old and weighs about 35lbs. She does well with other dogs and loves outdoor adventures. Meet Keira, She came to CARE with her four puppies to find a better life for her little family. Her puppies are all on the way to finding forever homes and Keira is hoping to find her own home too! She is currently in a foster home getting babied herself and loving every minute of it! Keira is only about 20lbs so she is quite the little lady. She can be a bit shy at first but once she warms up to people she is very affectionate. Her foster family has a 10 year old grand daughter who Keira has befriended, she even loves to sleep in the bed with her overnight. Keira doesnt mind the other dogs in the house but she is not really the playful type. She would do fine in a home where she gets to be the spoiled only dog! Meet Marcos, this playful fun little 11lb guy always looks like he is smirking due to the pink skin on his bottom lip. We find it totally adorable and bet it will get him out of all sorts of mischief in the future. He is very active and would love to find a home with a yard where he can run and play. Marcos can be a bit bossy with other dogs especially ones who are smaller than him so he would do best with a play mate who is close to the same size. He is a Terrier blend and has many Terrier traits like being very smart and also wanting to chase, a home that is willing to play ball and take this little guy on all kinds of adventures would be best! Meet Mooney, this girl has come so far since being at the city shelter with her puppies. She came to CARE with her 4 puppies back in the beginning of June! Her 4 pups found homes very quickly leaving Mooney here at CARE waiting for her turn. We all have grown very fond of this sweet little mom and cant wait to find her a home of her own. She is very active and loves to run and play which makes us think she would do best in a home with an active adopter or a large yard. She is very inquisitive and looks to her humans for direction. Meet Riley, she came to CARE after being dumped at a house in an empty Chewy box. Talk about a special delivery. Of all houses to get dumped at Riley got lucky because the house she was left at was next door to one of CARE's experienced foster's home. Since finding her in the box her foster has gotten her up to date on all of her medical and helped her settle into life in a foster home. She tells us that Riley is an absolute sweetheart, she is a bit shy at first and it seems to us that she was not given much love or attention before being dumped. The vet thinks that Riley is a year old o she still has some puppy tendancys but she is fairly low key. Meet Sarah Jessica Barker, SJB for short. She came to CARE from the city shelter with her little family of 5. SJB has been in a foster home with us since leaving the shelter and we have really enjoyed getting to learn more about her. She is super friendly and playful but also pretty lowkey for the most part. She does very well with other dogs of all sizes and so far has been very uninterested in the cats. Her foster mom tells us that she has progressed very well with potty and leash training . She thinks SJB would do best in a home with a furry playmate and of course a very loving family! If you think Sarah Jessica Barker is meant to be part of your family and you are interested in learning more and speaking with her adoption coordinator and foster mom to learn more about her please fill out an application at www.caretx.org/adopt. This dog was rescued from a kill shelter or the streets and has been evaluated for medical and temperament to prepare for a forever home and is in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas* and is ready to fly to its final destination once adopted. The adoption fee of $800 covers spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and air transport. Please email Emily at adoptions@caretx.org if you have any question. * CARE rescue is in San Antonio, TX where we have a serious pet overpopulation situation. CARE is a non profit 501c3 rescue that has been saving lives for over 9 years and with your adoption, we can help save even more deserving urgent adoptable pets! Say hi to Sheldon!! This guy is a total snuggle buddy. He spent a week with us at the CARE office and won everyone over in no time at all. Sheldon is now in a foster home where he is learning all about family life. He has does great with most of the other dogs he meets but he prefers to hang with the low key pups. Sheldon really just wants to find a home with a buddy to lounge on the couch with and watch TV. He soaks up any attention he is given with the happiest tail wag. Sheldon is about 3 years old and is totally lap dog sized at 16lbs. His favorite things are belly rubs and napping in sun spots on the carpet. If you would like to learn more about Sheldon or speak with his foster or an adoption coordinater please fill out an application at www.caretx.org/adopt. Say Hello to Webster! This 1 year old Terrier looks like a mini Irish Wolfhound if that were a thing! He is about 14lbs though so no where near the size of a wolfhound. Webster is very friendly, playful and active. He has long legs and can jump very high to check out whats over the fence or whats cooking in the kitchen. His foster mom tells us that he is quite the agility star. He is the type of pup that wants to be included in all activities and go everywhere with his human. He would love to find an active adopter who is looking for a pup to join in on daily walks or hikes. If you think Webster is meant to be part of your family and you are interested in learning more and speaking with his adoption coordinator and foster mom to learn more about him please fill out an application at www.caretx.org/adopt.
