Ay, Caramba! Howdie? I am Bart, from the Simpson group of doggos rescued from the Imperial County shelter. I am about 1 year old, or a lil less, and a male, Boxer-Terrier mix. I am around 35 lbs and have been fixed already, with a clean bill of health! I am a total good boy and all bathroom trained and good on the least. Sometimes I pull a bit when I am excited, but nothing that training won't fix.  I am a really fun boy and love to be playful! I get happy when I see other dogs and I bark a bit just because I wanna play! I love to meet new people and show them what a fun boy I am. I enjoy meeting kids but I really prefer adults or older teenagers who can respect my boundaries. I can be a bit territorial and training will help me with my social behaviors. I am just a silly, young boy and love to make everyone smile. I have a bunch of energy and running about in the yard helps me. When done playing and fetching, I love to snuggle up with my peeps and cuddle hard!  I would love to be with an active family and I will be a great hiking buddy. I would love to have a yard and another playful doggie friend to burn my energy with playtime and fetch! I would rather be in an all adult home or with older kids/near-adults who are respectful of my boundaries. Training will be very helpful and help me be my social best. My adoption fee is $400 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. Catch a Bass like me! Hello Friend! My name is Bass! Oh, do you fish? Bet I’m the cutest Bass you’ve met though, right? I am a 5-year-old female Chihuahua Mix weighing around 8 lbs. The Animal Pad rescued me from the shelter in Ensenada. I will be spayed super soon! I love my crate and I sleep through the night in my crate (though I’m sure if you’d let me, I’d love to sleep with you!). I am house trained as well, no accidents to report! I also do great on a leash, gotta love those walkies! I am timid, probably because of my past...but I am VERY sweet (I pawmise). Once I get to know you, I will follow you everywhere! I want all your love! I am mostly chill, but I get excited about walkies and going out in the backyard. One of my favorite activities is SUNBATHING! I also love walkies, snuggles, and boiled chicken! I am still figuring out toys, not used to having them but they seem fun. My foster hooman says I am the sweetest and low maintenance. I follow you around the house because I just want to hangout with you and be loved. A fun fact about me is I have long legs so hoomans comment on how cute my prance is. I get called Bambi I am doggo and cat friendly. I’ve never spent time with little hoomans, but my foster mom believes because I am so sweet with everyone, I shouldn’t have a problem. I hope to meet you soon! My ideal furever home would be one with much love to give and receive… Also, any type of home with a yard or a balcony to sunbathe. I can be with or without another doggos. My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. Giver of the bigg-est, bear-east hugs! Hello guys, my name is Donahue. You can call me Don, to keep it short and sweet. I am about 2 years old, male Boxer-Lab mix with the sweetest soul. I am a big boy of about 74 lbs. I used to live at the Ensenada shelter and TAP brought me over to help me find the best home possible. I survived TVT and I am all hale and hearty after my chemo. I have been fixed too. I have learned good doggie manners from my amazing foster mama and I am bathroom and leash trained. I have not been alone so, I will need some crate training to ensure that my parents can go to work after this quarantine is sone. My foster fam says that I give literally the best hugs ever! I am just a sweet and snuggly boy and all I want to do is love hard! I love to follow my mama around, even if she tries to shove me out of the bathroom! I love to snuggle with her at night when we fall asleep. She calls me her lil shadow. I keep my beauty regimen up with sunbathing and face massages and scratches from my people. I absolutely adore my 2 year old neighbor kiddo and my mama's friend's lil girl. I get along quite well with smaller dogs, but not so much with bigger or similar sized dogs. everyone seems to love how sweet I am and it makes me so happy! I kept up my sweetness and spirits through my chemo too. I knew they were tryna help! The love I can give is limitless! I would love to be in a home with people who love and adore me. Some training and teaching me commands will ensure that I present my best behavior. I would prefer to be the only doggo at home to get the max love! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. This brindle “bella” will steal a pizza your heart! Ciao! My name is Florence (or just Flo for short). Just as tourists fall in love with my namesake for its art, history, and of course, pizza... I’ll be sure to charm you with my dreamy personality! I’m a 4 or 5-year-old, 37-pound, female. I’m not spayed just yet, but it’s on my to-do list. With my beautiful brindle coat I could be a lab/beagle/pittie mix, but let’s be honest… I’m a Mexi-mutt (shhh, don’t tell the Italians). I’m currently a healthy girl, but I had to overcome some obstacles to get here. I’m a distemper survivor, which left me with a slight tic in my chest and sometimes jaw or leg. It doesn’t bother me though! I also recovered from TVT, which is common in my ruffer neck of the woods. Speaking of which, when I found on the streets of Ensenada I was very loving and very… pregnant! I was taken into The Animal Pad’s care where my five puppies all found furever families. Now that my babies have homes, it’s my turn! There are so many reasons to make this mama part of your family, but one is that I’m such an easy-going gal! I’m a great listener and I adore people. When you call my name, I’ll always greet you with a wagging tail and a smile! I haven’t had the chance to meet any kids yet, but I’m so loving and gentle that I’m sure we’d get along just great! Even though I love all hoomans, my ruff past makes me wary of other dogs. I currently live with a furry foster sibling and it took us about an hour to warm-up to each other. We get along fine, but I mostly leave him alone. When I see another dog on a walk, I ignore them, but if they bark at me... you know I’m going to have the last word! Even though I won’t be going to the dog park anytime soon, I still enjoy being active. I run alongside my people while they skateboard and like to chase after squirrels too! Speaking of which… I think squirrels and cats are one and the same, so I probably shouldn’t live with one of them. When the fun winds down, I’m perfectly content chewing on my bully stick or taking a nice nap in the sun. I’m very mellow and like to relax by the window. Although I’m happy hanging out by myself, I’m a superb snuggler when my people are home. I’ll also make sure to nuzzle right up so that you know how much I love you! I’m a very well-mannered lady. I’m completely house, bathroom, and leash trained, which makes the hoomans happy! I’d make a great guard dog because I tend to bark at intruders or when I hear a strange noise. This probably wouldn’t make me the best apartment dog, but I’d be good at keeping a home safe! I’m also comfortable going wherever you go and would make an awesome adventure buddy. Hopefully, we can do some hiking or camping one the people start going outside again! All in all, I’m a well-behaved, low-maintenance girl who is easy to love! If you give me some belly rubs I promise to be the best companion ever. I could do well in a home with one mellow pooch or as the only pup in your life. From “Italy” to Mexico, I’ve seen it all, but all I really want is a loving home to call my own. Will that be with you? I’ll keep my paws crossed! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. Say hi to our socialite boy, Francis! Francis is a 1 year old, 10 lb male Terrier mix who is a rescue from TJ streets. He is a sweet boy looking for his forever family and is working hard to be perfect. His neutering has been scheduled. He is progressing with his bathroom habits and his foster mama says that it will perfect once he is fixed. He is good on the leash and is okay sleeping in the crate as well. He has a tendency to bark a bit but it's much better when he has someone at home with him. Neutering and confidence building will help him loads! Francis is a sweet, curios, adventurous lil guy who loves to go outdoors to the park and the beach. He is a very friendly dog and gets along great with with humans and doggies around. He hasnt met kitties personally but doesnt respond when he sees them outside. He really enjoys social settings and will be great as a date 'bout town! His gentleness makes us believe that he will great with kids too when he meets them! He is pretty mellow at home and does like exercise. He is still getting a hang of fetching balls and toys, but his foster furry sis is helping tons! This cutie just wins hearts all over he goes! Francis will fit in beautifully in any home where he has company most of the time. Some training and patience will be helpful. He would love to be a social dog and get involved in all outdoor adventures. This pet's adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots and microchip. There may be plenty of fish in the sea… but only one Guppy! Hi there! My name is Guppy. Even though Guppy sounds a bit fishy, I’m a puppy! Well, I’m actually 2-years old, but who’s keeping track. I’m a lovable lap-dog at just 10-pounds. I’m a female chihuahua mix who is in pawfect health. I’m not spayed yet, but I already have it on the calendar. I guess you could say I’m pretty organized and soFISHticated! I was recently rescued with the rest of my fishy friends from The Animal Pad’s partner shelter in Ensenada. One look at this sweet face and they knew I was destined to be someone’s furever companion! I hope that person is you! I’m a friendly gal and get along swimmingly with my three furry foster siblings. I do have some leash reactivity, but once I get to know another pooch off-leash, I’m a sweetie! Since I’m new to this whole domesticated doggo life, I’m just discovering my toys. I’ve started to play and my foster parents love seeing me flourish! It seems like the fluffy ones are my favorite so far. I love all the hoomans, kids included. I haven’t met any cats yet, but I think we’d be just fine! My hobbies include basking in the sun and lounging wherever my people are. I’m a huge cuddler and adore my family. I do get a bit of separation anxiety because I just love them so much! I’m quickly learning how to be a good girl. I still have the occasional accident, but I’m getting better and better with using the doggy door. I don’t really enjoy my crate, but my foster parents are teaching me how to sleep soundly in there. Another thing I mentioned is my leash reactivity. I think walks are the best, but I need to keep working on staying focused and ignoring other pups. I know that with more patience and training I can keep improving! If you’re looking for a FINtastic pooch, look no further. I’m an incredibly sweet, mellow girl who is ready to be your life-long companion. My ideal home is one where people are around quite a bit or one with a confident dog that can keep me company. I’d also love to continue training… maybe for some treats? If I sound like a total catch to you, let’s meet! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. Seek some kelp to get through life! Hey hey! You sea what I did there? My name is Kelp and I am about 5-7 year old, female Jack Russell Terrier-Corgi mix. I am a smallie at 20 lbs and perfect to cuddle up. I waited at the Ensenada shelter for my forever family and TAP came along to help me out. I am shore of finding my home and I am getting ready with good doggie manners. I am all bathroom trained and a dream on the leash. Sometimes I also like to go in my personal bathroom(backyard) after a walk. A lady may need her privacy, from time to time! I have been spayed! When I went to the vet, they said I may have some allergies, but nothing that a moisturizing shampoo and diet wont solve. I am a super friendly gal and I love to wave and say hi to everyone around me. I get along fabulously with my foster furry sibling. We share all our small stuffies, or rather I dive them away from under his nose! To be pacific, I should add that a proper introduction is necessary because I may not be totally comfortable with all sorts of dogs. You know how it is. Generally, I prefer calmer dogs than rambunctious ones. I guess, I am just a queen of the school? I haven't met cats yet. I have hungout with 7 year old and 13 year old kids and we do great together since they are respectful! To shell you the truth, I love to express love by snuggles and kisses and I believe in spreading happiness. I am easy going, and love to lounge. I look forward to cuddly movie nights and afternoon naps. Not so much to any kind of running. ;) I am a sweet, emoceanal girl and I would love a family who would adore me to bits. I would like a tranquil home where I can relax and have a good time with my people. I would like to live with another furry friend who is calm and enjoys sharing toys and doesn't mind this queen B. Sea if we fit together and give me a woof? My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. This playful pup will have you singing Kumbaya! Hi there! My name is Kumbaya, but you can call me Kumba for short. I’m a one or two-year-old, 45-55 pound, male pit mix. My foster mama thinks I’m even younger though because of my puppy-like energy! I’m a goofy little guy who couldn’t be happier to have this second chance at life. When someone sings “Kumbaya” they are hoping for help and peace. And boy let me tell you... before The Animal Pad rescued me, that’s exactly what I was looking for. When I was found in Mexico, I was chained up 24/7 and neglected. I have scars as evidence of my ruff past, but I’m just so appreciative of my new people. Despite my history, I’m a happy, healthy (and neutered) boy. I am nothing but love and can’t wait to learn to be the best pup ever with a bit of time and TLC! I’m really starting to love this whole domesticated doggo life! Naps on the couch, chewing on bones… I don’t think things could get any better! (That is... until I find my furever family, of course!) I’m so giddy when I see my people and I’m friendly with all of the hoomans I meet. Since I love to jump and can be a bit mouthy during playtime, I probably wouldn’t be best in a home with kids or cats. I’m total besties with my furry foster sister and have other pooch pals that I like to have playdates with. However, I’m a bit picky when it comes to my friends. I get along well with calm, submissive dogs alongside a proper introduction. Otherwise, I can be fearful or defensive. I need a strong leader who can socialize me and help me learn that the world doesn’t have to be a scary place. My foster fam has been doing a great job training me and I’m getting super close to being accident-free! I still have the occasional slip-up, but I’m doing really well with my bathroom schedule. I’m pretty good on a leash but can have some fear-based reactivity that I’m working on. I absolutely love earning treats though, so I’ll happily continue training with you! I’m sure I’ll be a good boy in no time. I’m a total lover who is so deserving of a second chance at life. If you’re the special person for me, I’ll show you endless affection and appreciation! I need a home with a hooman that can commit to my socialization and training so that I can trust the world again. I’d do well being the only dog in the home and I will need more socializing training and controlled play dates to help build my confidence and socialization skills. But with the right introduction, I will thrive in a home with another calm, well-socialized, non-reactive pooch who can show me the ropes and play with me. A doggie bestie will bring out the best in me! I’ve been singing Kumbaya and hoping that the right person will rescue me! I’ll keep my paws crossed that it’s you. My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. One shell of a doggo! Hey guys! I am wave-ing at you right here, do you sea me? I am Lobster and about 2-3 years old, female Terrier mix, weighing about 25 lbs. I am from Mexico and the amazing people from TAP are giving me a wonderful chance to find my forever family. I am thriving with my foster fam and learning good habits. I am still using pee pads but learning to poop outside. I already walk so well not he leash! I will be all trained up soon, get fixed and be one shell of a dog! Guys, I am as friendly as they come! I may be a shellfish, but so not selfish. I love to meet new dogs and I am pretty keen to play with them. I enjoy meeting new people specially if they are down to play and fetch with me. I havent met kids or kitties yet. I may take a hot second to warm up, but it happens real soon. I have way too much love in my heart and I want to share it so bad! I love to be with my family and may get anxious if I lose sight of them. A bit of training post-quarantine will help me come to terms with my family's regular schedule. I do love going for walks and rolling in the grass after a fun game of fetch. cuddles are amazing and I am really good at snuggling and napping.  I would fit in beautifully in a home where I get plenty of love and attention. I would love to have companionship through the day at least for the start and maybe another playful doggo will be good. We can be each other's lobsters for life, holding claws and such! Meet our real life Ferdinand- the bull, Monte! Hi guys! I am Monte, a 3-4 year old, male pit bull mix, and I pretty much have a puppy soul hiding inside my 70 lb big boy body! I have had a rough start in life when TAP found me in a very unfortunate condition, tied upright to a cart and I couldnt even lie down. Because of this rough start, I had to work extra hard to learn to be my best self on a leash. But I have come a long way and I can say that I am almost not scared of the harness and leash now and I just need to curb my reactivity more. I have been fixed already and I am totally bathroom trained. I had found a wonderful dad, who has to serve our beautiful country and wants me to get the best family. So here I am!  Guys, I am just a happy-go-lucky guy and full of happy, boundless energy. I love running around the yard and playing. I am still a pup at heart and learning to curb my enthusiasm. I am full of love, life and energy and will be great with an active family. I am also a big lover of cuddles and snuggles. I love my people and I am very loyal and protective of my family. I am very friendly with dogs, but I think I want to be the only good boi in the house. I like kids too! However, we all need to be mindful of my size and energy. I like cats, they seem to not care for me much! I just wanna let you all know that I have a sensitive tummy and I need special food from Chewy. Also, boy do I get hot! I would prefer to lie in front of a fan all day long! I will be perfect with a family who will love me to bits. I would love an active lifestyle with a mom or dad who has a leader like personality. I can be your own Ferdinand, the bull, and I promise to be the best, most loyal and loving boy! I would like to be the only doggo in the house. She's all that! Hey guys! My name is Munchies, and I am the best snacc around! I am a 3-5 year old, female Lab mix and about medium-sized at 40 lbs. I used to live at the Ensenada shelter and TAP brought me over to live my best life and find my forever family. I have had puppies in the past and I am a TVT survivor. I had my chemo and I am cancer-free now! I have been spayed to keep me healthy. My foster family has been phenomenal and has cared for me wonderfully! They have been training me to be the best version of myself and I have mastered sit, stay, touch and some level 1 puzzles! I am all bathroom and crate trained and just working on leash manners and reactivity. They say I am smart! I have been a very good girl and being treat-motivated makes me eager to learn more! Mastering commands has helped me be a social and friendly dog and I am great with all the people! I can be initially hesitant with dogs but once I know that they are down to play, so am I! I have not met kids or cats yet. I can be calm and chill while you want to lounge or work, and can be active when it's playtime. Food and walks make me so happy! I can get a lil territorial when there's a particularly good munchie, but I just eat it on my bed. I do rather well in my crate when my fam has to go out and I just wait patiently for them to be back and smother them with kisses! I am a people-dog through and through and I am sure I will find a family who is ready to absolutely love me! I will do great with an active family with time and patience to teach and train me more and to take me on outdoorsy excursions. I will in a home with a yard or apartments with plenty of time outside to roll on the grass. Grab a bag of snacks and meet me soon! The stunning lioness! Hakuna Matata guys! My name is Nala and I am about 1.5 years old, female Doberman. I am a gorgeous gal at about 45 lbs. I have lived with a family since I was 10 months old, but sadly, the housing rules are such that goodbyes will have to be said. They and The animal Pad have joined forces to find me my perfect family. I was a mama before my previous family, and have been spayed now. I am already pretty much bathroom, crate trained and learning to walk on a leash the right way. I let my foster fam know when I need to be out. Being food motivated and a smart girl, I am learning new tricks!  I will be lion if I say that I am not a good gal! I love people and love to hang around my family. I am okay with dogs, but it took me some time and good introductions to make me get along with my big foster doggo brother. He is larger but calmer than I am! I can get a bit territorial so I recommend feeding me separately from the pride. Some training will also help my leash reactivity. I have lived with cats previously, but I think I would rather be in a doggo-only home. I see little kids and they are so cute! However, I am not sure how to play with them yet. Older kids who are okay with a big and energetic puppy-dog like me, would be amazing!  Initially, I was fearful and timid but with time, I have blossomed to be a trusting, loving pup. All I want to do is to keep my family happy and get a bunch of treats. I am at the peak of my youth and quite energetic. I love to train and learn commands and play fetch. A smartie like me needs enrichment activities. Once all done, I nap like a pro! I would love to be with a family who is active and make me part of all sorts of outdoor adventures. I would love playing all the time and I can be with another calm doggie friend or be the only doggo! I would rather not be in a home with cats. Older kids who can play with a puppy me will be nice! My adoption fee is $400 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. For a whaley good time! Hey guys! My name is Orca and I am a 1 year old, female, Manchester Terrier Mexi mix! I am about 23 lbs and believe me, I AM a lapdog. I was tiding over at Ensenada shelter when TAP came aboard to bring us 'Marine Life' doggos over to San Diego, to help us find the best homes ever! I can sea that they wanted to help and I am helping them by learning the best doggie behavior from my foster family! I am almost all bathroom and leash trained, and I am going to get spayed real soon! I am a fun-loving gal with over-whale-ming energy! So, running and playing with dogs at the dog park helps me release my energetic emoceans. I get along so well with other dogs! I have met cats and I think of them just like dogs and I simply wanna play. Kids are adorable but I need to learn not to jump and topple them over. I love to play fetch with sticks and not so much with balls. Not orcward at all! A lil eye-spy is necessary for me to not chew up stuff other than bones. Just for a bit, till I learn! I cant wait to share all the cuddles with my forever family, because I do love me some snuggles. I enjoy treats and I am super food motivated. I would rather have you use that trait to teach me new tricks!  I know my perfect family is out there because where there is a whale, there is a way! I would love to be a part of an active home where we can have many playtimes together! The more people are, the better it is! I would love to be with a furry sibling and I paw-mise that I will learn and be a great companion to kiddos too! Just a lot of love, some patience and training will be awesome! Palomina is friendly, well-behaved, and pawsitively perfect! Hola! My name is Palomina, but you can call me Mina for short. I’m a totally trained, lovable lady. I’m a 55-pound, Lab mix who is ready for a furever home! I’m already spayed and in good health. Even though I’m only 2.5 years old, I had a ruff start to my little life. Back in Tijuana, I was living on the streets and was hit by a car. Luckily, a caring woman saw me struggling, so she took me in and made sure I was cared for. She knew that The Animal Pad could help me find the loving home that I deserve. I am so appreciative of this new life, and I show my gratitude by being the most gentle, friendly sweetheart! I’m a social butterfly who loves playing with other pooches. I enjoy making new friends at the dog park and running around! I’m always up for a hike or a nice long walk as well. I’m great with hoomans, but sometimes when a large group approaches me all at once, I can let out a little growl out of fear. However, once my person lets me know I’m safe, I’m back to my sweet self! I haven’t had the chance to meet any kitties or kiddos yet, so I’m not sure what I think about them. Once playtime is done, I’m completely comfortable relaxing at home. I’m a patient girl who is just happy to be where you are. Something that makes the hoomans happy is that I’m totally trained! I never have accidents in the house and I do wonderfully on a leash. I adore my walks and sniffing all the smells! Because of my accident, sometimes I have a slight limp after a nice, long walk, but I bounce right back! When my person is away from home, I keep my cool and wait for them to return. I’m a good neighbor and never bother them with barking! All in all, I’ve got this “good girl” thing in the bag. My ideal furever family is one that is active and affectionate. I love all outdoor activities and I’m a great companion! I would also be really happy if I had some furry siblings! I’d do well with one or even multiple pooches in the pack. However, as long as we can get outdoors and spend plenty of time together, I’ll be a happy gal. Even though life wasn’t always kind to me, I have a heart of gold and can’t wait for a family to share it with. If I sound like the loving, loyal lady for you, let’s meet! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. Pop-A-Wheelie! Hello! Look how fast I whiz around! My name is Pop, and I am teeny tiny male, 6 months old, Cattle Dog/White Shepherd wonder mix. I am about 30 lbs in weight, not counting my sweet chariot. I havent been fixed yet, but sure my sweet vet will work on that. I am from Mexico where the amazing people of TAP rescued me and brought me over to find me an amazing home! I am learning how to follow the leash with my wheels on, and I am also learning to stay longer in my pen when my foster family is gone. I can do 2-3 hours right now, and I am improving every day! My captivating grin may have prevented you from noticing, but I am a specially-abled pup. A dog attacked me when I was a wee baby and lack of medical care caused me to become paralyzed waist down due to a spinal cord injury. I need to be in male diapers because I can't control much. The diapers need changing every 3 hours or so, with a cleaning to prevent UTI. I have a prolapsed penis that needs nourishment from Vaseline 3x a day. I can go poopie on my own, but sometimes, I need manual expressing through a Q tip, 3-4 hours after meals. But hey! Physiotherapy and acupuncture is actually helping me with my limbs! I will need to keep that up to make it better for all of us. :) Guys, I told you I am a special pup, but a pup nevertheless! I have a lot of puppy sweetness in me and I love to play! I am curios about dogs and can get quite playful with my wheels to support me. I have had some fun beach times now, and kiddos at the beach are so delightful! I run, play, chew on toys and then nap and repeat the same all over again! Did you know tennis balls can be that fun?! I love them, only next to how much I love my people! I have a simple happy-go-lucky attitude and my mantra is to stay happy no-matter-what!  I am ready to be with my forever family and be a part of a loving household. I understand that with my needs, I will need people at home most of the time, maybe with a flex schedule or working from home. Patience and love will go a long way for me, but I promise to love the heck out of you! My adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.
