About Red

Meet Red, he is approximately 4 yrs old. This boy has had it tough. He was found and rescued by the Fire Department minutes after being ran over by a car. Right after the accident he was transferred to our loving Vet, unfortunately his left back leg couldn't be saved due to the serous damage therefore it was amputated. Red recovered very well as has the spirit of a warrior. He started walking right away and got adjusted to being a 3 legged boy. He is looking for a forever home that will love him forever. We don't really know for sure if Red ever had a family. Red requires an experienced dog owner, someone who will provide structure and guidance. He does not get along with cats and prefers to be the only one. Since we don't know how he does with kids, we would recommend a family or owner with no kids. Red will need time to get adjusted, considering he probably spent the majority of his life on the streets or being part of a family that neglected him. Initially he will need his space, but he will warm up and gain confidence on his forever owner. A home with a yard or a ranch would be a great environment for this guy, he enjoys sunbathing and exploring. He was great on leash and enjoys exploring his surroundings. He is a good boy that only deserves a chance to a better life. Currently he is being fostered by a Vet, and spends time at the clinic during the day. He goes out on daily walks with his K9 friends. Red deserves a chance. If interested please submit your application at www.drwb.org
