Tiny Goosie, was found stray, left in a box on the side of the road - abandoned there by her family who no longer wanted her. From these sad beginnings, a happy new life has sprouted and she has transformed. Her coat is glossy, she has gained weight and energy, is alert, engaged and walking better. She gives kisses to her foster dad, loves to eat, play with her toys, and to sleep in a cushy bed under a fleece cuddle blanket where she snores and makes little contented noises. Riding in a crate or carrier in the car is best and helps to calm her during short car rides. She is simply adorable and looking for a stable home (ideally without stairs or carpet) where she can settle into a routine, sleep late in the morning, have the occasional pee accident (so small!) and not face a lot of challenging changes as she enjoys her golden years. Her initial health issues have dramatically improved through diet and supplements (arthritis, early stage renal disease, tooth tartar) and she remains a hearty girl despite a minor heart murmur, blindness in the left eye which hardly inhibits her mobility, and deafness. She is house-trained but will have pee accidents if she doesn't get outside or to a pee pad in time. Older children in the home would be okay, as would cats. She would do best as the only dog in the home, or with one possessing a compatible temperament. show less

Darling Kelly Kapowski was found stray and taken to a local shelter - a little Chihuahua Pug / Chug at a mere 12 lbs and 6 years old! She is loving life in her foster home where she’s perfecting her potty habits and learning to walk on leash with a harness. She is learning the joy of living in a home with her people as it is likely she may have been a yard dog and was not taken out on happy walks, but taking to it well. Kelly is very comfortable going potty in a private yard and seems to understand that concept, but has yet to do her business on a walk, walks that she is now starting to enjoy and master. Her ideal home would be a house with a private yard (big or small) or a deck or private space with grass where she feels comfortable. She would be fine in an apartment or a condo with patient loving people who can guide her. Kelly is diabetic, something her former owners did not tend to, and it is now fully managed with insulin 2x a day - much like millions of people with diabetes, and she acclimated to her insulin treatments with no problem at all. She is the perfect angel - quiet, cuddly, enjoys her little kisses, and loving life. And she LOVES TO EAT... If you have the perfect home for this special angel, please email us at therealbark@gmail.com and we are happy to fill you in further on this very special girl. show less

THIS IS A GUEST POST: Please contact staciwitt@sbcglobal.net directly if interested in meeting this adoptable pup. Magic is a super sweet boy who is super friendly with people, and is very gentle with all humans. He would be great with older children 13+. If he were in a room with 15 people, he would be the life of the party, showering everyone with his smile, affection and kisses!!! He loves nothing more than to be next to his favorite humans' side and also understands when to give them space. Some of his favorite things to pass the time include eating, getting pets and massages, sunbathing, and grooving to reggae music. He's a quiet soul, rarely barks and does not have any destructive tendencies. He has medium to low energy with a very chill personality, so wouldn't mind a couch potato friend, but also can enjoy his regular walks. His past spinal injury has not kept him from any activity, but because he is a mellow fellow, couching the potato is not a bad pasttime for him. Magic would do very well in either a home with a yard or a condo or an apartment, and someone who can keep him on a regular feeding and walking schedule. He also would be best as the only dog in the home - no cats. Routine activity is beneficial to keeping him on a regular regimen post-spinal injury. And minimal activity is fine for this big boy. He would be a fantastic loving constant companion for anyone!!! If interested in learning more or meeting this fine boy, please contact: staciwitt@sbcglobal.net. show less
