About Pearl

The animal control officer called us the day she took Pearl in. A high-kill shelter is no where for a pregnant pittie girl to end up! The rescue that took her in provided all the pre-natal care and helped this gorgeous girl give birth to 12 puppies. Unfortunately, only 5 have survived and they have now been weaned so it is time to start finding this girl he own forever home. Pearl is a sweet girl who just wants to get some belly rubs and some ear scrubs. She was a good momma but is happy to have that behind her now. She likes to run in the play yard and play with the toys and cuddle up on the sofa when she can. Pearl is up to date on her shots and has been fully vetted. She is getting spayed and microchipped soon and all that's needed after that is you! If you are interested in making Pearly a member of your family, please ask us for an application. We transport with Rescue Riders llc, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

BOOMER is so sweet he will make you forget chocolate exists! Age: 9 months young Breed: Border collie/Australian Shepherd mix Size:about 30-35lbs He’s very smart and highly trainable. He is shy at first but warms up quickly. He will sort of sniff you and be weary but then when his curiosity gets the best of him and he stand it anymore he makes friends with you very quickly. A fenced area would be good but if you take the time and walk him and bond with him on a leash and give him time to know you are his family a fence will not be needed but he cannot be off leash until he is comfortable and trust you. If you do have a fence and your fence is a chain link you cannot leave him outside unattended because he knows how to climb a chain fence or kennel. If you have a wooden privacy fence or other type he will likely do pretty good. He wants to be with his people and loves to cuddle on your lap. Boomer is socialized with other dogs and has a moderate to high energy level. He is crate trained and will pick himself up when it’s bedtime or time to eat. He’s a great pup and will make his future family so happy. He is also House trained, potty trained, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated and Microchipped. If you are interested in opening your heart and home to this sweeter than chocolate boy write to: petpathorg@yahoo.com with any questions or fill out an application on our site. Please read the entire Post Cora is In Winchester Tennessee . Cora is a five-year-old Catahoula mix with a very sweet personality, piercing eyes and gorgeous coat of color. Cora was picked up by a lady who witnessed her weaving in and out of traffic, terrified, and unsafe. Cora has since been on the stray watch for two weeks, with no one claiming her as their own. Upon medical intake and testing, it was discovered that Cora has a heavy load of heartworms. As you know, this is a very deadly and expensive disease to treat. We hate to say it but think she may have been abandoned just for that reason alone- for she is a fabulous girl. Since Cora has a heavy parasitic load, her treatment will be more potent and take longer for recovery, meaning she will be in our facility for an extended period of time before she can be adopted. It is our hope that a generous donor will step up and help Animal Harbor with the cost of the treatment and housing her for eight months; for we cannot take on the high cost alone. In 6 months Cora will need a heartworm test to confirm that she is heartworm free. This is something that you need to understand before inquiring about this dog. You will be required to have the test done at the 6-month mark. Frederick is his name but he also goes by Fred. He is a black & white border collie mix, approximately 4 years old and weighs 55/60 lbs. Like most border collies, he is very high energy when he is outside because he loves to play. He can be a little rough though as he loves toys and jumps hard and that an be a little rowdy in the house but usually calms down pretty quick. He would be great in a home with another high energy dog as he would love someone to play rough with him. He isn't mean at all though. Not long ago he had an encounter with a rattlesnake. He such a sweet guy that he didn't even want to hurt the snake, he just wanted to play. Well, that got him 2 days and nights at the vet's office. He pulled through with flying colors but his tongue has a few places on it where the tissue died from the bite but that does not stop him or interfere with anything he does. Even when bitten, he was still trying to run and play with his toy blocks with his mouth and face all swollen. He is 100% better today and happy to be able to play with his blocks again. He's not all rough and tumble. He loves attention and affection and particularly likes snuggles. All in all, he is just a big teddy bear and will be a fabulous addition to any family. If you are interested in Fred, please email BakerBridgeRescue@aol.com and ask for an application we can also send you a short video.
