About Aquarius

Is there anything cuter than a puppy? Before you decide to take the plunge into raising a puppy keep in mind the amount of commitment it takes. Puppies are not housetrained, they don't know that shoes are not chew toys, and they won't know any of the cool tricks adult dogs know like how to sit on cue or walk on a leash. Puppies need lots of patience, love, supervision, and proper socialization. A great way to bond with a new puppy would be to take a positive reinforcement-based puppy class together. If you are up for the adventure of raising a puppy come down to The Anti-Cruelty Society and meet your new best friend.

Hello, I`m having fun while currently residing in a temporary foster volunteer's home. I`m still available for adoption, so let`s meet! Please read my adoption description below, and if I seem like the type of pet you`ve been searching for email our team at adoption@anticruelty.org to receive an adoption application and arrange to meet me.Introducing Arya! This cute, fun-loving and active girl came to us all the way from South Carolina in the wake of Hurricane Dorian. Arya has loved spending time in her foster home, but is ready to make it official forever. Her foster dad says, she loves to cuddle, and people are her favorite. She can be a bed hog, but makes an excellent snuggle buddy on these cold nights. She is very well behaved in the home. She loves squeaky toys, and has been a social butterfly with other dogs she meets on walks. She is pretty laid back, but will need daily low-key exercise to maintain her girlie figure, and keep that energy level manageable. Currently Arya is completing treatment for heartworm disease. She'll need a quiet home, with a very low impact lifestyle while her heart recuperates, for the next 3-6 months. She will need a special adopter who can help her heal from this illness, as well as help her with a chronic ear infection. Sometimes just a change in diet, or eliminating the allergen can drastically help clear up those ear infections. Other times they require more on-going treatment at a vet.SPECIAL: Treatment for heartworm/chronic ear infection show less

Hello, I`m having fun while currently residing in a temporary foster volunteer's home. I`m still available for adoption, so let`s meet! Please read my adoption description below, and if I seem like the type of pet you`ve been searching for email the foster team at adoption@anticruelty.org to receive an adoption application and arrange to meet me! Say hello to the bellissimo Bella! This special gal has been through a lot the last six months; she has spent a lot of that time here at our shelter waiting for the right family to scoop her up. She's gone on a few 'sleepovers' with foster parents who just sing her praises and keeping hoping to find the perfect match. Bella can be an excitable gal; she's strong, can get mouthy when really worked up and needs someone who knows how to help her channel that energy into appropriate outlets. She loves toys but needs to learn some impulse control and how to drop them nicely. Bella is smart and food motivated which means she can learn a lot from someone with the patience and know how. Bella would need a slow introduction to any other dogs in the home, and she'll do best in a home without any small children (due to her size and energy) or animals (due to her prey drive; mind your mops and brooms too as she considers them something to pounce upon). Yes Bella needs some focused work but boy oh boy is she worth it! Her snuggly, sweet personality has melted hearts all over this shelter and beyond, so come on by today and meet your future bestest buddy on four legs, the bodacious Bella! show less
