Meet Doc and Baby, a Bonded Pair. Doc and Baby's owner passed away recently. Her son had promised her he would care for them and she left extra money in her will for their provisions. Sadly, her son took the money and abandoned these precious cats. We scooped them up and promised to find them a second happy, loving home. What's up Doc! Doc is more outgoing and social, and even at a plump 18 lbs he wants to be in your lap, or at least snuggled up next to you! He is inquisitive, really funny and cuddly. He is a Shorthair Exotic mix. And a really lovely companion. Chewy picked Doc as the winner of the best looking plus-size cat in DFW! Nobody puts Baby in the corner! This stunner is Baby. She's a beautiful, Red Flame Point Siamese with piercing blue eyes. She likes gentle pets and is shy at first, but once she settles in, she wants in your lap and to hang out with you. She is calm, quiet, and a sweet girl. She is on a special diet, but it is easy to do and no big deal if she gets into other food. Baby and Doc are healthy and up to date on all vaccines, fixed and chipped. You must submit an application to be considered to adopt or to set up a meet and greet. Fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/cat-adoption-application It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. The adoption fee for both kitties as a pair, is $300 show less

Bella is approximately 12-18 mths old (according to the vet).  She was malnourished, pregnant and dumped out by the lake in November.  We were able to capture her and bring her into a foster home.  About 2 weeks later, she delivered her 7 puppies on 12/20/19.  She has been an amazing mommy.  She was a very shy, timid girl and it took a while for her to trust anyone.  She has come a long way and continues to improve every day.  She's 53 lbs and according to a DNA test on one of her puppies, they are 75% American Staffordshire Terrier and 25% Bulldog.  She has used pee pads since day 1.  We are working on getting her to use a dog door.  She will let us put a harness on her but I don't think she knows what it is or what it's for.  She will need someone who has patience and time to spend with her.  She has moments where she acts like a puppy herself and plays with toys.  She will fetch a ball or toy but she doesn't really bring it back to you.  We recently noticed she is a toy hoarder.  She will even sit or lay on them so no one else gets them.  She hasn't been around any other dogs but a few cats have walked through the yard and she hasn't reacted at all. So far she is doing great with her toddler foster sister, though she is slow to warm up to new people. show less

This beautiful boy is Benji. He's a handsome tabby born in June, 2019. He's an abuse survivor. Benji has a permanently broken jaw. He's not in pain. Nothing can be done about it, but he will need a vet to check it every year. He could need long term meds at some point. Otherwise he's a happy, healthy boy. Somehow, despite all of the hurt that Benji went through, he is still a loving and sweet kitty. Benji loves his chin and butt scratches, and will happily run right up to you when he sees you. Benji likes to take his time getting to know his environment, but once he's comfortable he's a big fan of running around, especially if he's chasing after a toy! He actually is very playful!Benji is likes to roughhouse with his foster cat brother. He would do best in a home with another cat-friendly cat or as an only cat, since he is so playful with cats. He would do fine with gentle kids and a gentle dog if introduced properly. He loves to snuggle up on a blanket with his human, especially at bedtime. Benji has been great about using his scratching posts instead of his foster moms couch, and has great litter box and grooming manners! He is afraid of big thunderstorms, but is ok if he can cuddle with you through them. You must submit an application to be considered to adopt or to set up a meet and greet.
