About Evander

THIS IS A GUEST POST: Please contact the Diana Gray Foundation at dianagrayfoundation@aol.com directly for additional information. Please note Evander is looking for a permanent home OR a long term foster with serious commitment to adopt, as he is currently already in a foster. The location of adopter must be on the Westside of Los Angeles. MEET THE WORLD'S GREATEST GENTLEMAN. Evander was owned by a homeless man who, sadly, passed away on the streets of L.A. Evander was taken by the police to a shelter and was at risk to be euthanized. This amazing boy was rescued and needs hip surgery and rehabilitation. We are looking for a quiet, restful and dedicated long-term foster home for him while he is recovering. Evander is a social little man with tons of character and personality. An 8 year old, 16-18 lb Doxie mix, he has much cuteness to offer and absolutely loves other dogs. Please open your heart and your doors to an unbelievable survivor, loyal buddy and a legendary soccer champ, who enjoys snoozing on the couch and loves his little walks and cuddle time. Evander has been neutered and vaccinated and is house-trained. If interested please contact dianagrayfoundation@aol.com directly.

SPECIAL NEEDS Tiny Goosie was abandoned on the side of the road by her family who no longer wanted her, and now a happy new life has sprouted. Goosie is looking for a calm, stable home where she can settle into a routine, and enjoy her golden years with someone who is home all or most of the time, and with special needs dog experience with ability to make her their priority. She should be the only companion animal in the home as she guards her resources so may lash out at other animals. She is house trained but may have accidents due to her age and medications. Her age-related health challenges have improved through prescription diet, supplements and medications (arthritis, early stage renal disease, liver imbalance, tooth tartar, heart murmur) - she remains a feisty girl despite deafness, blindness in the left and partial sight in the right eye. She enjoys short 10-20 minute walks but due to limited mobility needs to be carried for curbs, stairs and uneven terrain as she may stumble and fall. She loves cuddling and napping with her people when it suits her, playing with her toys, and her treats! Riding in a crate or carrier in the car is best and helps to calm her during short drives (which she finds stressful). If you think you could be a great fit for Goosie, please e-mail us for more information! therealbark@gmail.com show less
