About Valentine

Thank you for your interest in adopting or fostering. Rescuing one cat won't change the world, but it will change the world for that cat.   Valentine is a loyal and goofy fun loving gal. She was found wandering the streets completely starved and full of sores in the below freezing temps (13 degree Farenheight) of Valentin’s Day night here in Philadelphia. She had no collar and no microchip and could barely walk due to her weakened state. NoShe was found to have a broken and infected teeth and infected sores possibly from scratching due to fleas and was also full of parasitic worms. Now she is is a good weight and feeling great! She is an eager student and has mastered many basic obedience skills and loves to play fetch and goof around interact with her foster family. She is an absolute diamond in the ruff and would shine most fully in a home with people who can continue her education and give her a lot of attention every day. She currently lives with three small dogs and several cats and is fine with them overall but does have resource guarding tendencies (mostly about “her” person) so would be best as an only dog or with an experienced dog owner with a compatible pack. She seems to like small dogs and puppies and seems anxious about dogs her size. She is a complete joy to work with as she gives her full focus to her handler and is highly food motivated. We have seen no food aggression over meals or treats and she is a respectful turn taker when her foster parents are giving treats in turns to the pack of dogs. Recreational chew activities have not been “challenged“ by her foster people yet but she does get satiated and allow them to be taken after working on them a while. She loves to hike and go on walks and loves to snuggle and play in the house. She is currently in a training program to learn to see new people as potential friends and be polite about seeing other dogs on walks and is doing well so far. As of this post it has only been 7 days of it and she is doing great! If you are looking for a gorgeous, sturdy, loyal and fun canine companion she is your gal! She also looks adorable in lots of fashions! Thank you for your interest in adopting or fostering. Rescuing one cat won't change the world, but it will change the world for that cat.  Miso is an incredibly smart and gorgeous cat with a sleek, jet black coat and stunning green eyes. He is vocal guy who loves to snuggle. He currently is living with more roommates than he would like so is hoping someone would love to have his loyal company! His diabetic so he needs insulin twice a day and a special diet. He is no trouble at all to care for though as he is very cooperative with his shots. This good boy deserves so greatly to have a home of his very own! He would make a super companion for someone who spends a lot of time at home and needs  to have more love in their house!  https://www.facebook.com/aminda.edgar/videos/4120494514658028 If you want to meet this sweet cat, please submit an application on our website: .  All our cats are up-to-date on vaccines, housebroken and ready to go home.
