This little cutie pie is 3-year-old Bella. She was brought into the San Diego Humane Society on 1/2/2020 for emergency boarding and was absolutely terrified and distrusting of shelter staff. Within a couple of days, though, Bella warmed up and started happily greeting her new friends at the front of her kennel with her favorite raccoon toy, waiting for pets and love. Since arriving at her foster home, Bella has turned into a happy-go-lucky dog. She is an adult dog that has the spirit of a puppy without the mess! Loves belly rubs and to be next to you. She takes a little bit of time to warm up, but once she does its kisses and love all day! She plays fetch and loves other animals and will shake with joy to play with them. This can be a little intimidating for her foster cat siblings, but Bella has shown only love. Would still do best in a home with no cats. Bella would do best with a family of dog savvy owners that are diligent and willing to continue doing the good work her foster mom has done in getting her trained. She is extremely good natured, just gets excitable when others around her act that way. Bella is great with other dogs, so would make a nice addition for families that already have dogs. Looking to place with a family with no small children. Bella knows sit, shake, lay down, stay and come, so far. She is also crate trained, but prefers much more to sit with you on the couch and eat snacks. Bella tends to resource guard when she has too many plushie toys around her, but has no issues at all with just one or two. The staff at the Humane Society thinks she had puppies shortly before arriving to the shelter and that she may be guarding small toys seeing them as her babies. Please help us get sweet Bella into a safe, loving forever home! If that home isn’t with you, you can still help her by liking, commenting, sharing, and pledging (just comment “pledge” and the amount you’re committed to donating once we find a home for her)…every little bit helps! Hello everyone! My name is Daisy! I’m a beautiful 2 year-old and arrived at the Bonita Shelter as a stray with another after I had been hit by a car. Sadly, my story doesn’t get any better. The owner of my doggie pal informed the shelter that I belonged to her cousin, but that my owner couldn’t be bothered to come in and save me. I’m not sure why, since I would never abandon them! The wonderful people at Passion For Pitties were so kind to pull me from the shelter and now I spend my days with my lovely foster family. My foster is still getting to know me, but I have settled in very nicely since arriving home and am healing from my injuries quite well. My foster dad says that I have excellent house manners and I haven’t chewed anything that I wasn’t supposed to! LOVE attention, since I am a princess, but I am not a needy girl. Might whine a bit when you first leave, but will wait patiently for you to return. Give excellent KISSES, by the way! During the day, I lie quietly under the desk at my foster dad’s feet while he works from home. Sleep right through the night on my doggie bed or snuggled up right next to my dad! Relish receiving treats and take them very gently, just like a lady. Easily walked on a leash and am great with other dogs! I’m always very calm and friendly with all dogs and people, including small children. Not sure about cats since I’ve never met once, but with my good nature we would probably become friends. Potty-trained as well. Please help us get sweet Daisy into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Don't forget, Passion for Pitties is a 501(c)(3), so all donations are tax-deductible!…every little bit helps! Hello everyone! My name is Donnie! I am a sweet, goofy boy whose personality is emerging more and more every day as I get settled with my humans. Was in pretty bad shape when I arrived at the shelter, but the wonderful people at Passion For Pitties were so kind to pull me and give me a chance at a better life. Below is a little bit more about me: • Super SWEET with humans and am the biggest cuddle bug ever! Enjoy pets and will melt your heart as you look into my eyes! • Because I’m a big lug, I would do best with a family of adults or one with older children. • Don’t tell me I’m not a lap dog. If you’re sitting down, that lap is mine! • LOVE my humans so much, that it’s hard for me when we are apart. Have so much love to give and just want to say “hello.” Looking for a kind soul that will give me the reassurance I need. • Overall obedience is excellent and know all the basic commands. I’ve been told I’m an A+ student! • Enjoy going on walks and am great on a leash. • I am generally well-behaved around other dogs on walks, but would probably be best to be the only pet in the home. • Am eager to please and just need to learn what you want from me. • Ideally would have a home with a yard to play in. • Potty-trained and crate-trained as well. I am a sweetheart who really wants a family to help me become the best dog ever. A family that can help me to realize the happy, loving life that I deserve! Will that be you? Please help us get sweet Donnie into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Hello everyone! My name is Gypsy! My story starts our sadly like so many others. Although I did not end up at a “shelter,” I currently reside with the lovely staff at a local animal hospital. My owner brought me in to have me euthanized simply because I had pyometra. For those of you that don’t know, it is an infection in the uterus that can result from hormonal changes. I’m heartbroken that my owner would so easily discard me like that! The wonderful people at Passion For Pitties have agreed to help the hospital staff find me a home. Below is a little bit more about me: • I’m approximately 9 years old. • Weigh in at a svelt 84 pounds. The staff has me on a diet to help me get back my girly figure! • Am the SWEETEST girl you will ever meet and want nothing more than to receive love and affection from the hospital staff. • BELLY rubs are high on the list of priorities! • Going for walks is one of my favorite things to do and am great on a leash, ignoring most distractions. • Will make you laugh by just lying on the ground like a “frog” with my back legs sticking out. • Seem to be good with other dogs and mostly just ignore them. • Know all the basic commands and am potty/crate-trained. • LOVE treats and know how to catch them if you toss them to me. Living in an animal hospital is no life for a sweet girl like me. Just want to find a family that will give me a new hope on life and allow me to thrive again. Will that be you? Please help us get sweet Gypsy into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Hello everyone! My name is Kenny and am a SUPER handsome stud! I wound up at the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility because sadly my human family decided they no longer wanted to care for me. I’m not sure why, since I would never abandon them! The wonderful people at Passion For Pitties were so kind to pull me from the shelter and now I spend my days with my lovely foster family. My foster is still getting to know me, but I have settled in quite nicely since arriving home. Below is a little bit more about me: • I’m approximately 9 years old. • Weigh in at a svelte 90 pounds. • Overall my demeanor is quite calm and I’m very well behaved. • LOVE people and am a crowd favorite whenever I’m out in public! • Enjoy nothing more than spending time with my foster family and soaking up their AFFECTION! I will cry if we are not together. Who would have thought that a big guy like me would? • GREAT with all dogs, big and small. However, don’t like it when bigger dogs show aggression towards me. • I’m adventurous and always up for a car ride! • Going for walks is another favorite activity. • Am potty-trained and know some basic commands like “sit” and “down/off.” Also know “go to bed.”:) Please help us get sweet Kenny into a safe, loving forever home! *ADOPTER OR FOSTER NEEDED; contact information below* Hello everyone! My name is Legacy and I’m a fun loving 6 year-old girl with a huge smile! I have the best mom, but because of some upcoming life changes that she has, she will no longer be able to keep me. LOVE people and want nothing more than to be by the side of my mom. Everyone I meet is mesmerized by cheerful personality which will make you want to adopt me today! Playing fetch is so much FUN and one of my favorite things to do. Sunbathing or sitting under a tree or bush relaxing is another way I enjoy passing the day. Would do well with a family that is active and athletic. I have great stamina! When I lived in New Mexico, my mom would take me hiking often and I was always up for the adventure! When hiking, my mom would let me go off-leash. I never ran away and would always come when she called me. Going in the lake and playing in the snow is amazing too. After a fun-filled day, I like to snuggle with a cozy blanket in my kennel. Taking naps there is BLISSFUL and will sleep there all through the night with no problems. Potty-trained too and have never had any accidents! Know all the basic commands, but need some help learning how to properly walk on a leash. I tend to pull a bit, but am eager to learn how to improve! I have lived with 3 other dogs and have done very very well. Would just need someone with patience and experience to help me get acquainted if there are other dogs in the household. After that, I am good to go! Although I have never lived with them, I have had contact with cats and rabbits and am mostly afraid of them. Small children seem to scare me as well, so might be best if any children in the home are aged 10 and up. If you have any questions and/or would like to meet Legacy, please contact Selena by email at s.avila6771@gmail.com. Hello everyone! My name is Noah! I am a big bundle of love and as sweet as they come, despite having suffered severe abuse while living on the streets of Tijuana Mexico. The wonderful people at Passion For Pitties were so kind to rescue me and now I spend my days with my lovely foster family. My fosters say that I have settled in quite nicely since arriving home. Below is a little bit more about me: • LOVE my foster humans and will follow around my foster dad wherever he goes! • Great with children too. • I am sooo SMART…probably one of the smartest dogs you will ever meet! • Hanging out on my bed and playing with my toys is great, but nothing beats spending time with my foster family. • Always up for going on a walk. Who wouldn’t be? Great on a leash and do not pull. • Very well-mannered dog that wants to be loved. • Don’t do well in a crate. Could be because of my past, but will sleep at the foot of the bed all through the night. • Running around the yard is so much FUN! Just be sure to keep an eye on me, as I love to explore. • Generally good with other dogs unless they are bigger than me. With training, I’m sure I could improve on this. I’m a good boy and just want to please! • Snore like a bear. My fosters hope this improves once my nose gets fixed. • Potty-trained and will let you know when I need to go outside by standing next to the door. Sweet Noah suffers from some skin issues, which is typical for a dog that has lived on the streets for any period of time. He also has some breathing problems and some missing teeth. In addition to the love and care that his foster family is showing him, Noah will need ongoing medical care in order to help him make a full recovery. Please help us get sweet Noah into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. Hi everyone! Our names are Poncho & Lucky! We grew up in a wonderful home with a loving owner that always took great care of us. Sadly, our owner recently passed away and we are both heartbroken. We are 4 years old (Poncho) and 2 years old (Lucky) and have always been together since Lucky was born. We are super bonded and really look out for each other. We really need to be adopted together because of our strong bond and will not be separated under any circumstances. Thank you so much for understanding!!! Below is a little bit more about Poncho (tan & gray male): • LOVE people and want nothing more than to be a lap dog. If you forget to pay me enough attention, I will remind you by gently placing my paw on you! • Playtime is the best and always love to play fetch in the backyard. • Playtime with other dogs is WONDERFUL and get along with all dogs. • Great on a leash and ignore all distractions. • Do well with children. • Overall my manners are really good, but still need a little bit of guidance from you. I’m a good boy and want to learn! • Am potty-trained and crate-trained. • Know how to sit and learning other basic commands as well. Below is a little bit more about Lucky (black & white female): • A ball of JOY that lives life at a slower pace than my brother Poncho. • Shy at first, but I warm up quickly and love attention. • Playing with my doggie brothers is nice for short amounts of time, but my favorite activity is lounging on any COMFY surface. Will steal your seat on the couch if you leave it even for a moment! • Always up for an adventure and happy to follow my brother Poncho around. • Great on a leash and ignore all distractions. • Do well with children. • Am potty-trained and crate-trained. • Know how to sit and learning other basic commands as well. Please help us get Poncho & Lucky into a safe, loving forever home! If you're unable to help by adopting, sharing this post or donating is always appreciated. ***URGENT - Scheduled to be EUTHANIZED on Saturday 7/11*** The family of Stitch originally had an appointment to euthanize him on Wednesday, but has agreed to extend until Saturday. We need someone to step up ASAP and help this sweet dog. *ADOPTER OR FOSTER NEEDED; contact information below* Hello everyone! I’m an adorable and handsome 9 year-old Bull Terrier/Pit mix named Stitch and I’m in need of a new home. Such a sweetheart and I absolutely LOVE people! My favorite activity is snuggling up next to my humans on the couch and am a master at it – despite having no concept of personal space. Will curl up next to or on top of any person! Unfortunately, my family had a baby about a year ago and the baby’s behavior has made me increasingly anxious, leading them to make the difficult decision of finding another home for me. I’m great with older kids, but due to the impulsivity of young children, a home with kids aged 10 and older would be best. Enjoy lounging in the sun, going for walks and am very food motivated! Know all the basic commands and am potty/crate-trained. Although I have some separation anxiety, I do not exhibit destructive behavior and am fine with staying in my crate. Although I have lived with a Jack Russell since 2012 in a largely peaceful coexistence, would be best to be the only pet in the home, as I often react to other animals. A strong and experienced owner that has an active lifestyle to give me the proper exercise I need would ideal. With the right leadership and proper training, my new owner can help me overcome my issues to become the best dog ever. Unfortunately, I just didn’t get that with my current family. If you have any questions or would like to meet Stitch, please contact Jacob by email at twoj13@gmail.com. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting Stitch, please fill out an application at www.passionforpitties.com under the "Adorable Adoptables" header. ❤ show less

Below is some information about me: • I am approximately 10 months old. • One look into my eyes and I will make you fall madly in LOVE! • Very energetic and would do well in an athletic and active home. One with a yard would be great since my zoomies are top notch. • I have a little hop when I run or get excited. It is so CUTE! • Great with other dogs and enjoy playing with my foster doggie sibling. Still learning social skills, but am nothing but love. Would need to be in a home with a male dog. • Not sure how I am with a cat since I’ve never met one, but with my good nature, I’m sure we would probably be friends. • When I am not following my foster sibling around, I will be right by your side, snuggling and napping. • I am very AFFECTIONATE and love face scratches and belly rubs. Hello everyone! My name is Venus! I’m a beautiful 2 year-old little low-rider that ended up at the shelter as a stray and no one came to my rescue. Looks like I was used to breed puppies and then discarded. I’m not sure why, since I would never abandon my family! The wonderful people at Passion For Pitties were so kind to pull me from the shelter and now I spend my days with my lovely foster family. My foster is still getting to know me and I am still settling in. I have some scarring on my face and have had a rough life, but despite my past, I’ve been nothing but sweet and loving with the shelter staff and now my foster mom. Great with all people and will ADORABLY ask for love and snuggles from everyone I meet! I do have some separation anxiety and so can be a little bit clingy, staying close to my foster mom. Still working on my manners and basic commands, but learning and improving every day. Enjoy giving lots of KISSES! Great with dogs too. Although I am not a big fan of toys, one of my favorite things to do is to chew on my deer antler! Always enjoy going for a walk and am great on a leash. Ignore most distractions unless it’s a cat or small animal which I want to chase after. Hey, I’m a dog, you know! Potty trained as well. Like all dogs, just need to be let out regularly and learn your schedule. Please help us get sweet Venus into a safe, loving forever home!
