About Princess (in San Diego)

This petite Princess, “Nugget” to her foster mom, is 12ish years old, a shorty at 9” tall, and weighs 11 pounds.  Princess is deaf, but don’t let that stop you.  Keep reading. . . So many sweet things about this girl.  Yes, she’s housetrained.  I have to use her fosters words to give you the feel of her. “I have called her 'Nugget' because she is just a little Nugget with a nubbin for a tail. She's a shorty and a 'little bit'. She is perfect and easy. She will give you a cute 'bark' sometimes when you are in the kitchen and fixing her dinner, not so much breakfast. She has a cute little trot. She is very chill and calm and easy. She 'launches' off couches, chairs, etc. with all four legs at the same time. She will get excited and bounce around like a rabbit (on occasion, not a regular thing). Especially when it's time for dinner or if she knows we are going somewhere outside or with the leash. She is learning to play, but she just seems to like to hang out with you. She snores and if she is sound asleep she will not hear any movement or noise and will stay asleep until woken up.” Nugget needs a home with another small dog to be her ears and engage her socially.  Also, a quiet adult home with no small children with a yard and lots of love would be perfect for her. If you would like to know more about her, or meet her, please email or go to our website to fill out an adoption application.

Captain Jack is the handsomest boy at 6 years old, 26 pounds and is 18” tall.  He is looking for that special person who will love him for his high energy, terrier personality, and his hearing disability.  He will need activity on a regular schedule and a home who knows the breed.  He is a working terrier. Jack is a high energy boy who will play ball with his person till the cows come home, or his human gets tired of playing ball – whichever comes first!  He is house trained, crate trained, rides well in the car on short trips, but really likes to stay home with his person.  This little guy has a big heart, tons of love and is a very sweet boy for the terrier lover.  Jack hears sharp sounds, familiar sounds and squeaky toys, but his hearing is very limited.  He knows hand signals – sit, come, down, and no. Jacks needs someone who can focus on his needs so he doesn’t just bark.  He does bark a lot.  And he needs someone who will accept him as an active, hard of hearing dog.  He’s not good at a dog park, not good around cats and will not do well in an apartment. If you would like to meet Jack, or know more about him, please email or go to our website to fill out an adoption application at show less
