About PeeWee

Senior Love! Our friends at Animal Care & Control San Francisco knew PeeWee, an adorable senior Chihuahua mix would do much better in foster care than he was doing at the shelter and they were right! PeeWee is a wonderful companion. He doesn't mind the cat or dog in his current foster home. But this dreamdog prefers to be the top dog and would rather have you, food, and toys all to himself. Got to love a dog that knows what he wants. He's an expert cuddler, enjoys daily strolls, has trouble with stairs, but has mastered the ramp and doggie door. PeeWee loves attention and is very affectionate! PeeWee is 9 pounds and 11 years old.  Our Adoption fee is $255.   For adoption consideration or to meet our dogs , please complete our online application:   www.everypetsdream.org/adopt and  we will have everything we need to know to call you back and set up an appointment.  Follow us:  Facebook  and  Instagram.   Please note we have been overwhelmingly busy during COVID-19 and responses may be delayed. Foster’s Notes on Pee Wee Pee Wee is a sweet, loving, affectionate old man who would be best as the only pet in your household.   He loves to snuggle and cuddle with his person--he is a robust 8+ pounds who needs to pare down a few to live his best life.   He would benefit tremendously from daily walks--he LOVES it when he sees his leash coming his way! He has a mind of his own at times when he is particularly interested in sniffing a bush or a patch of grass, but he does walk along willingly (albeit sometimes slowly as it appears he may have arthritis. He favors his back right paw in the morning and at night after a long hard day). His ideal walks are 10-15 minutes once or twice a day.    He is very protective and does not like strangers approaching him on walks. (either alone, or with dogs) so his foster keeps an eye on him when walking. His hackles raise and he might bark or lunge toward them. He can also be jealous of other animals around his person--so for that reason he would be best as the solo pet in your house.   He’s not destructive and doesn’t have bad habits(like chewing)  in the house (although he may pee inside in the first few days while getting used to his new routine). He knows how to use a doggy door and has zero trouble with using my ramp to walk outside to relieve himself.    He does have a bit of a challenge with stairs at times but can still navigate them on his own...it just may take him a bit of time.   He is sweet, loving, and friendly with his foster, but his new owners will want to go slowly with him for the first few days. He does not jump up into your lap (he does not jump at all) but will position himself next to me to be picked up (facing away from me) to be picked up...he loves a good cuddle.  He also will roll over on his back for gentle belly rubs.   He is crate-trained and willingly goes into his crate at night (and throughout the day). As long as he potties just before bedtime, he sleeps the whole night through.    He eats well and polishes off his food with gusto.    He can have a bit of separation anxiety but after a few minutes he will usually stop barking and will take a snooze.   He will be a fantastic dog for just the right person who has the patience to work with a dog like Pee Wee. He can be a grumpy pooch with strangers, but will be incredibly loving with you!

Daisy-ADOPTION PENDING

Daisy is a sweet, loving dog. and a wonderful companion.  She is hoping to find her special person.  Daisy is a special needs adoption.  She has been losing her eyesight since November and our vet suspects she has SARDS.  We had taken her to the eye specialist to see if SARDs was a confirmed diagnosis, prior to the shelter in place so that we could learn more about her future care and at that time they recommended that we bring her back for a procedure where they would sedate her and get a better look at her eyes.  Unfortunately, when the shelter in place hit, they postponed our appointment until this month. Daisy is adjusting well to her blindness and it doesn't take her much time to get familiar with new places we take her.  As you can imagine without her sight it can be very startling to be grabbed out of the blue.  We recommend some gently prompting before going to pick her up to avoid her startling or snapping in fear. She has also become more protective of her food bowl since losing her sight, so best to have a good feeding routine for her and feed her away from the resident dog. Daisy is such a smart and brave little girl.  Daisy is housebroken and crate trained.  She loves to sleep in her plush bed at night. We have been told that Daisy is 12 years old...but we are not convinced.  This spunky gal is waiting on you! If you are interested in chatting about Daisy or meeting her,  Please complete our application so we have everything we need prior to calling you.    www.everypetsdream.org/adopt Daisy's adoption fee is $155. However, Daisy is participating in our Seniors for Senior Program and that means Daisy's Adoption is fee is waived for applicants over 62 years old with an approved adoption application. All of our dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and Microchipped.  Follow us! www.everypetsdream.org www.facebook.com/EveryPetsDream2/ www.adoptapet.com/shelter92414-pets.html   Instagram & Twitter @everypetsdream show less

We Welcome Walter to Every Pet's Dream! Rescued! We are so happy to have an amazing Foster who stepped up to save this sweet Senior boy with us! We are calling him Walter. Our DreamDog was in desperate need of medical care that he is getting while living Every Pet’s Dream. We have listed Walter as Special Needs adoption because we recently learned while addressing his medical needs that Walter has cancer and is hospice.  Walter is a very sweet boy.  Gets along with everyone including dogs. His favorite activity is following his foster mom around the house and cuddling in blankets. You can help us save abandoned and discarded dogs by donating to  www.paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/2384371 If you would like more information on Walter, please email us everypetsdream@gmail.com.  We are in desperate need of foster homes.  Please let us know if you are available to foster.
