Hi there, I'm Gwen!🥰 Did you know I’m a dumpster-diving survivor? Yep, I was found in a KFC dumpster in Texas with my siblings, Maisie and Blake. Talk about a “finger-lickin’ good” start to life, huh? 🐾🍗 Now, at just over a year old, I’m all grown up and ready for my happily-ever-after! I’m a gentle, sweet girl who adores affection. Belly rubs? Yes, please! Big hugs? My specialty! I might be a little shy at first, but once I know I’m safe, I’ll melt into your arms like butter on a biscuit. I love kids (I’m super gentle with them!) and I’m great with other dogs—especially big ones. Playtime is my jam, and rolling on my back for belly scratches is my favorite pastime. I’d love a family with big-dog energy and a yard where I can romp around safely. Full disclosure: I’m pretty smart, and I’ve figured out how to hop a fence, but don’t worry—I don’t go far. My last family used an electric fence, and that worked great for me. I also do best with a sturdy kennel when I’m home alone, as I sometimes feel a little anxious. 💔 ALMOST A YEAR IN FOSTER CARE: Hambone Deserves His Forever Home 💔 For nearly a year, Hambone (lovingly called Reggie by his foster family) has been waiting. He’s been safe and loved in foster care, but it’s not the same as having a family of his very own. ❤️‍🩹Every day, he watches the world go by, wondering if today will be the day someone finally chooses him. 😢 Hambone arrived in March of 2024, full of hope and energy. Now, we begin approach his one-year anniversary in rescue. He’s almost 2 years old, and he’s spent most of his life in limbo—not truly home, not truly settled, just waiting… we refuse to give up on him but we need your help to find his furever home!❤️🐶 From his foster: “Hambone is such a sweet boy. He loves snuggling on the couch but is also perfectly content relaxing on his own. He’s wonderful on walks, adores the creek, and is the most polite with treats out of all my dogs. He’d do best with an older, chill dog (a female would be great), but he’s also fine with younger, playful dogs if supervised. Hambone is curious about cats and gets excited, but he doesn’t mean them any harm—he just doesn’t know how to calm his big heart. It healed a bit funny, but thanks to some kind humans, I recently had surgery to fix it!🥳 Now, I’m feeling better than ever and ready for my next adventure. I’m about 2–3 years old and the perfect size—big enough for great hugs but small enough to fit just right on your couch (or your lap if you let me!).😆 I can be a little shy at first, but give me a moment, and I’ll be your best buddy. Hi, I’m Tatum! 🧡 I am about 5 months old right now and already took a big adventure all the way from Texas to South Dakota!🚗 When I grow up, I’ll be a large sized girl, which just means more of me to love! I’m about 32lbs right now!😆 Since I’m still a puppy, I’m looking for a family who will help me learn all the important things—like where the treats are and how many belly rubs I can get in a day!🐶 I’m already a pro at kennel time and doing awesome with potty training, especially with a doggy door. Life brought me back to the rescue through no fault of my own, but I’m keeping my tail wagging and my hopes high that my perfect family is out there waiting for me.🥰 I’m just over 2 years old and originally came all the way from Texas—so you could say I’m a Southern charmer! I get along great with other dogs, cats, and older kids. However, i would do best with a dog who is not dominate.🙂 I’m fully potty trained and kennel trained (I’ve got the basics down!), I’d do best in a home with a secure yard and maybe some extra supervision outside. That is, if i'm living alone with no other doggie friends to play with or if i'm left outside alone for a long period of time—i get bored without friends, what can i say!😆 I’ll be honest, I can be a bit shy when I first meet new people, especially men. Did I mention I love taking naps? I currently have two other dog roommates, and they’re my best friends! I love playing tug-a-war with all the toys with the little dog, and I love playing tag with the bigger dog. I’m pretty good at entertaining myself if you give me a hard or soft toy. I’m getting really good at fetch, and comeback when people yell my name, especially if they have treats. I don’t bite, but I do give gentle little nibbles to the people I love. I can be a little awkward because I’m a puppy and still learning new things, but I’m wicked smart and really good at listening. I like two-legged creatures too! They’re silly because they always want to rub my belly, and give me neck scratches, I let them because it feels good. I like being close to my two-legged friends, whether it’s snuggling, or just wandering around the house, I like to keep an eye on the humans so they don’t so something silly. This little girl has had hire the trip at such a young age.🥹She's the only one from her litter who survived. Her mom rejected her and she had to be bottle fed by the rescue she came from! He has had a lack of human interaction and needs someone who will be patient with him. He gets along great with other dogs and cats! He would do well with kids, if they are older or respectful of his space he may need. He is a very sweet boy, who is learning to love the attention when receiving it! He does need another dog in the home to help him come out of his shell more, as he has always been around other dogs. He doesn't know what it's like to be happy and live a good life, but now he is safe and will learn what it's like to be loved!💙 He loves having his confined space to relax in and also enjoys being held. We are working hard with his confidence, trust, and his relationship with walking on a leash. We hope he can find someone willing to give him the time he needs to warm up to his new life. He LOVES playing with others dogs in his foster home and it only took him about 3 days to start coming around to his foster mom! Meet Cash!💚 Cash is a dachshund and is about to turn 8 years old! We took cash in when his owner was going to euthanize him for urinating in the house, however it turns out cash had a UTI that has now been cleared up!🥰 He has not had any accidents in his foster home, and he gets along with other dogs and cats but he prefers to just play with toys and mind his own!😆 He LOVES to play ball and even knows how to bring it back! Cash simply just loves playing with his toys so much and they keep him busy, but he does like to destroy his stuffed toys.🫠 He is good in the kennel if it's needed but his foster does not kennel him even when she's not home and he does great! He is used to a doggy door right now so he may just need to adjust without having one but we feel a doggy door would be best for him but it is not required!😊 He is great off leash and doesn't try to run off either, he just likes to explore! Cash does take gapabenptin daily for back pain and also working on loosing some weight to help with his back too!
