Adopted 9/20/26 Hi! I'm Tiva and possibly the cutest puppy on Earth (well, in my own puppy mind, at least). I'm around 52 lbs. and guesses are I'm going to be a fairly petite girl. My sibs and I were abanoned at a shelter - it was scarey. Somehow I ended up alone and I was worried but then I got "rescued" and got to live in a 'foster home' with new sibs that are loads of fun. We run and play all day long then we just hang out together and chew on things. I also have lots of toys, good yummy treats and a soft bed to sleep in while they help me find my new home. I really love new adventures and exploring all the places I get to go. It's so much fun and there are so many new things I've never seen before. I especially like the people and when they get on the ground and offer me all the snuggles - just might be my favorite place to be. Add in some belly scritches and I'm all yours. I have great manners for such a young pup. I know not to jump (oops... honestly, I forget on rare occasions, but it's just a gentle jump), I'm pretty easy on a leash and take treats ever so gently! And I do love treats—they're right up there with those belly rubs! I love playing with polite dogs. My new best friends are my foster sibs. One is really big, like 90 lbs. He lets me do the chasing and doesn't tumble me, which I really appreciate since I'm only around 52 lbs. But by far, the most fun is wrestling with my other foster sib. She's into wrestling big time and is polite enough to (usually) let me be on top. I'm a happy, healthy girl, but remember, I'm still all puppy! There's a whole world to explore and so many things for a puppy to chew. My foster mom does tell me what's chewable and what's not and most of time I listen. I'm really, REALLY good at self entertaining and can play with toys and chew bones for, like, forever. You should pay close attention though, because I love to fling my toys and ropes really far and you may need to duck. Even though I have lots of energy, I sleep like a champ at night, I don't wake up until I hear the rest of the crew moving around. OH ! DId I mention I ride really well crated in a car?. I just lay down and don't say a word for the whole ride. Curious, playful, affectionate and uber smart - I'm the whole package for someone looking for an active pupper! Barney is a 1-year-old Shepherd mix whose journey has been all about learning that the world isn't as scary as it first seems. When Barney first arrived, everything felt overwhelming. New people, unfamiliar places, strange noises, and all the hustle and bustle of shelter life left him feeling unsure and anxious. But with patience, kindness, and time, Barney has made remarkable progress and continues to show just how much potential he has. Today, Barney is a sweet and affectionate young dog who enjoys being around people, especially once he gets to know them. He can still be a little reserved when meeting new people and may cower or tuck his tail if approached too quickly, but with a gentle introduction, his true personality begins to shine. Hi, I'm Finn! I'm a 4.5 year old purebred sable shepherd boy. I'm about 74 pounds, which I think is the perfect size for leaning against you, following you from room to room, and curling up close at bedtime. I'm an affectionate, loyal, and happy boy. Because I come from purebred working German Shepherd lines, I'm smart, observant, and quick to learn. I enjoy having a job to do, even if that job is simply being your devoted companion. I'm the kind of dog who loves being with my person and sharing life's adventures. Long walks are one of my favorite things, especially through the vineyards where I've spent so much time exploring. I walk nicely on a leash and am always happy to head out wherever the day takes us. I'm quite friendly and enjoy meeting new people. I might give a bark or two when we first meet—I'm just a little excited to to say hi—but I settle down quickly. Sometimes I might jump up to say hello, but I'm a good listener and eager to please so you just have to remind me to keep my paws on the ground. . At home, I'm easy to live with. I have good house manners, I'm comfortable being left alone when you need to go out, and I'm a great passenger in the car if you decide to bring me with you. I get along well with other dogs and have lived peacefully with a cat and small puppies. In my new home, I might enjoy having a mellow female dog as a companion, but I'm just as happy being your one and only—I don't need another dog to be content. I do have a healthy prey drive, so I'll happily chase rabbits and other critters if given the chance. There is one minor issue I need to bring up. The vet says I have some " rough edges " in my right hip. I can jump on the bed or into the truck on my own and I currently walk 3-4 miles everyday. We don't play ball or frisbee but I enjoy my hikes and things like "hide the toy", which I love. The vet said to treat me just like a normal dog and avoid the high impact games. Easy peasy. ADOPTED 9/5/2026 Hi, I'm the fun-sized dog you've been looking for! At just over 1 year old and around 50 pounds, I am very handsome, smart and in search of fun! If your idea of a good day includes walks, runs, hikes, fetch, or just finding new adventures together, I think we're going to get along great. I've learned a lot about living in a home over the past few weeks (didn't I say I was smart?). I am also a great student because I actually like listening (especially if snacks are involved). I'm potty trained and know that outside is the place to do my business. I'm also crate trained, sleep quietly through the night, and am working hard on polishing my house manners every day. I LOVE toys. I LOVE chewing on bones. I LOVE playing with other dogs. Notice a pattern? If it involves fun, I'm all in! I also like my naps especially after my breakfast and some of that fun. Hi… I’m Boomer — funny name, huh? it's always been my name, even as a pup. Maybe I was a big pup as I'm a pretty big guy now. A few things about me - I'm a 5.5 year old pure German Shepherd Dog, about 95 lean pounds, extremely handsome and very affectionate. I'm a super friendly guy and happily meet everyone, even the people that drive up to my foster home and drop of boxes. I have so many friends too. There's also some girl cattle dogs here that I think have a crush on me and another pretty girl nextdoor that likes me, too. Add the cool cats that like to rub on me and slink around my legs, the goats that pretty much ignore me and all the chickens (they're silly) and that's my pack of animal friends. My foster is really cool, too. He knows I’m happiest living a quieter life in a rural environment and that places with lots of dogs that are all wound up aren’t really my style. What I love most is space where I can go outside, take in the world, and observe my surroundings. Don't get me wrong, I’m truly a social guy and I’ve welcomed visiting dogs without any trouble. When my foster takes me out on walks or to meet friends, I pass dogs calmly and handle new environments nicely. It's the 'in your face" situations that make be nervous and then I might bark. I walk well on leash, enjoy structured outings, and I’m a fantastic car rider — just say the word and I’ll hop right in. I’m really a big, gentle guy that likes life a bit slower and predictable. I learn quickly, take treats gently, and genuinely enjoy working with my person. We are currently working on my recall and I'm learning when I come back there are treats! Super cool. Health-wise, my DNA says I carry one marker for degenerative myelopathy (DM). Dogs typically need two markers to develop the disease, so I’m considered a carrier, but my mobility is being monitored just to be safe. I move great — I run, play, zoom up and down stairs, and keep up just fine but every once in a while I get wonky and when I'm tired I sometimes drag my feet. Supplements have really helped me and regular activity like walks and outdoor adventures without extreme, high-impact exercise would be best. OK, so here's my wish ---- A gentle home, ideally with another well-mannered dog or two and people who love affectionate, big shepherd boys. I bond deeply with my family and want to be part of daily life, whether that’s walks, hanging out in the yard, or relaxing together after a good day outdoors. Looking for a loyal best friend with a playful heart? I'm your girl! Hi! I'm Doe. I'm a beautiful German Shepherd with a gentle soul, a goofy side, and so much love to give. Like many shepherds, I can be a little reserved when we first meet. I like to take a minute to check you out. But once I know you're one of the good ones, get ready—my playful personality shines! I love tossing around my favorite stuffed toys, carrying treasures around the house, and breaking into happy zoomies just because life feels good. On walks, I'm curious about the world but always polite. I don't bark or lunge when I see other dogs, and I walk beautifully on a front-clip harness (I might pull a little if I'm just wearing a collar). I've even strolled right past goats, horses, cows, and curious ravens without batting an eye. My calm nature makes me a joy to take on adventures, and I may even be able to live with cats with the right introduction. I have been ok around some dogs and a little defensive around others. I may want to be an only dog to start but once we build our trust I may accept another easy going dog. I do fine when I'm 'around' other dogs but when asked to meet another dog I can be too defensive. In my last foster home I was kind of picked on so I still get a little defensive when another dog gets too close (like in my face). I have played nice in small playgroups with easy going dogs my size and smaller. People say I'm incredibly sweet. I lived with children ages 5 and up in my previous foster home and did great! I simply appreciate meeting new people at my own pace. If someone comes on a little too strong, I might take a step back—but give me a little patience, and I'll be nudging you for affection before you know it. I'm also an easy girl to care for. I happily let my people brush me and handle me, and I absolutely love car rides. In fact, I'm just discovering how magical it is to feel the wind blowing through my ears! I'm a smaller German Shepherd at about 73 pounds, though a few extra walks and treats in moderation would help me lose 5–10 pounds and keep me feeling my best. Hi! I’m Dex — your future best friend, adventure buddy, and professional “lean in for pets” expert. 🐾 I’m a young guy, just over a year old, and ready to find my new home. I already know my basics, walk nicely on leash, and I’m excellent in the car — windows down, ears flapping, living my best life. I can be a little leash reactive but my friends have been working hard on that and I'm doing great. Don't get me wrong, I like other dogs and play with a bunch all day. I've even been meeting a lot of new friends while on my leash and learning there's nothing to it. People? LOVE them. Truly. I’m sweet, affectionate, and always ready to make a new friend. I’m easy to handle, not jumpy or mouthy, and I’m not a big barker — just a good, friendly guy who wants to be close to his people. In the house, I’ve got great manners. I’m potty trained as long as I have access to get outside, and I’m not destructive (your shoes are safe with me). I’ll play a nice game of fetch, but I’m not going to turn it into a full-time job. Treats, however? Yes please — I love all kinds and will happily show off my skills for snacks. I’m also a champ at the vet and during bath time. I’m crate trained, though I’ll be honest… it’s not my favorite place. I’d much rather be hanging out with you. Like I mentioned, I've been doing a bit of training and I've got my basics down really well. I'm a smart boy and I learn fast. I know, handsome. But I am not the crazy mal that everyone thinks a mal is. I am a pet dog first and foremost and I love to take naps, but I also like an active family because I am very nosey. I’m the lucky brother to Delilah, and let’s just say… the brains in this operation? Also me. Super duper smart. Like, “problem-solving genius trapped in a puppy body” smart. My pluses: I do no For example: there was coffee on the patio table. I wanted to investigate. So I climbed onto the chair. When my human moved the coffee higher? Please. I simply recalculated, relocated, and found it again. Mission accomplished. A crumb rolled under the cabinet? Gone. Retrieved. You’re welcome. I consider myself part explorer, part detective, part professional climber. If there’s a way up, I will find it. If there’s a mystery to solve, I’m already on it. When I’m not advancing my research career, I’m busy being an excellent house guest. I ride great in the car (adventures? Yes, please). I mean, if you like attention (I sure do), just take be for a walk!! Please, take me for a walk, or a hike or a run or a anywhere you want to go - I'm game. I love to be out and about (missed that a bit in my prior home) AND I absolutely love people. Truly. If you exist, I would like to meet you, say hello, and probably lean in for some affection. OK, so I can get a little jumpy when I'm really excited so tiny people may be overwhelmed and I certainly wouldn't want to accidentally knock one down!! I love to play! Other dogs - I'm learning but I've been doing really well. My current foster has a wonderful group of dogs that I get to hang out with all day. I know sit, down, stay, heel, and my recall is pretty darn good for a youngster like me. I love learning, love working with my people, and I’m happiest when my brain and body are both busy. I ride beautifully in the car — I mostly just lay down and enjoy the trip. OK, if I happen to see another dog I get a bit excited but I easily ride in a crate, too. Speaking of crates - I would really prefer a home that doesn't crate me unless it's 10000000% necessary. I was crated WAY too much in my prior home and, while I'm a good girl, I really don't want that life again. It's way too hard on us youngsters, you know. I'm not sure about the kitties and I haven't really met any. My people say I would probably be too much for a kitty or other small critters though. Larger animals are interesting but I haven't met anything much bigger than me. So what is my ideal home? An active, dog-savvy person or family who understands that I’m a young dog still learning. I’ll need continued reward-based. positive training, structure, exercise, and mental stimulation. A yard to play in would make me very happy but I will also need adventures away from home. Because I sometimes jump up and get overly excited, a home without young children would be best right now. What I really want is simple: a person to adventure with, learn with, and love with. My name is Chloe. I'm a beautiful black and tan 3 year old girl with red highlights and I'm looking for my new home. I was in a home prior to my brief stay at the shelter so I know how to behave. I have all my basics like sit, down, stay and even shake and my recall is not bad. I'm a big girl at 86 lbs so you need to like big dogs. I've been a bit stationary for a few months but getting back in shape now that I'm in a foster home with handsome boy dogs - must look good you know. Anyway, I'm a friendly girl and like to be around my people. I also like the company of other dogs and I'm having a blast playing with so many new friends. I might be a little barky at first but I get over myself pretty quickly and then it's PLAY TIME. Just so you are well prepared, I love the water, really, I love the water. I would like to have a pool or even a wading pool in my new home. What girl doesn't want to sun herself by the water with a fresh bowl and a chew bone? I do ok on leash but every once in a while I pretend I'm a husky pulling sleds in the snow.....just kidding.....but I could use a little work on the pulling stuff. I do try though and my people are helping me work on it. My current foster says I could be a 'coffee shop dog' whatever that means. It may have something to do with my manners when I'm out and about. I also like to ride in the car and will jump in. If it's one of those cool cars that sit up way high I might need a little bit of assistance as us girls must look poised when getting in and out of cars. While I think I would really enjoy some fun adventures, new places, a bit of travel, I'm also ok having a nice dinner and catching a movie with my family. I am a healthy girl with all my vetting done. I don't mind handling and being told how pretty I am and I like a good brushing. I'm sure I would enjoy a bath because it's in WATER. Just throw in the soap and I'll do the rest.......but really, I think I would really enjoy all the "me time" and that rub down at the end....heaven. ADOPTED BAGSR REPEAT DEBBIE OELRICH 4/13/26 Hi… I’m Hank. 😊 I’ve been told I’m the kind of dog people hope to find — the loyal, gentle, easygoing companion who just wants to be part of your everyday life. I take that job very seriously. First things first: my house manners are excellent. I’m fully housetrained, not destructive, and I don’t really bark (unless the UPS guy clearly needs announcing — and even then it’s just a bark or two). I’m crate trained, sleep soundly in my crate from about 9 PM to 7 AM, and honestly I often tuck myself into bed after a long day. My crate stays open during the day, and you’ll usually find me relaxing inside it with the door wide open, happily watching my people nearby. I can be trusted loose in the house when you’re gone, and I’m very respectful of the home — I don’t get on the furniture, even when invited. I prefer keeping all four paws on the floor like the polite gentleman I am. People are my favorite thing. Truly. Neighbors, friends, delivery drivers, strangers walking by — I greet everyone with enthusiastic tail wags and my signature goofy German Shepherd sniff-and-smile routine. I love kids and am especially gentle with them. I recently met a three-week-old baby and approached slowly, carefully, gave one tiny polite lick, and then respectfully backed away. I’m more of a calm companion and observer than a wild playmate, but I adore being included in family life. What really holds my attention, though… is you. I’m what they call a Velcro dog. If you’re working, gardening, cooking, or relaxing, I’ll happily follow along and supervise. I don’t need constant activity — just companionship. I’m perfectly content going for a nice walk and then curling up nearby while you do your thing. On leash, I walk nicely and have very good recall. I can get a little excited when I see other dogs out and about (I just get enthusiastic!), but my foster is helping me practice calm greetings and I’m improving all the time. I genuinely want to please my people and try very hard to make good choices. I’m also remarkably quiet. Despite daily foot traffic in front of my foster home, doorbells, and an open screen door facing the world, I don't bark. Peace and relaxation are kind of my style. One small note: I do experience motion sickness and may get sick on longer or winding car rides. Short trips are easier for me, and my people can help manage that. My energy level is calm to medium — I enjoy walks and outings, but I’m just as happy being your shadow around the house or yard. I thrive when someone is home most of the day. My dream home is one where I’m not just a pet, but a true sidekick — part of daily routines, quiet moments, and everything in between.
