Adopted on 7/25/2022. Hi, my name is Harper! I’m an approximately 9 month old female GSD mix with standard black and tan markings and I weigh about 50 pounds. I know, I know, my ears are kinda goofy looking, but people are always complimenting my big beautiful amber eyes. So I guess that’s a pretty fair tradeoff. I’m an approximately 9 month old female GSD mix with standard black and tan markings and I weigh about 50 pounds. I know, I know, my ears are kinda goofy looking, but people are always complimenting my big beautiful amber eyes. So I guess that’s a pretty fair tradeoff. Fortunately, the nice people at BAGSR sprung me from a shelter and got me into their foster program. It’s only been a few weeks, but I am really doing better now. I have 4 other GSD pack mates around here that are all a little older and I’m learning a lot from all of them! Besides my eyes, people really love my soft plush coat. Sure, I’m on the smaller side at 50 lbs. and there is a lot to like about me in this little package! My foster family says I’m really smart, and I’ve been picking things up very quickly. I’m friendly to all the people I meet and of course I’m very affectionate! I do like most dogs that I meet when given a proper introduction. I am generally a calm girl and good in most any situation. But I’m still very young and I love to play! I like to chase my foster pack mates around and playing with different toys around the house. But toys are good to have around, because it will prevent me chewing up your shoes (which may or may not have happened in my foster home). I like to meet people, and I do get along with kids as long as they are respectful and play nicely with me. So I could be an only dog, but I’d probably happiest to be in a forever home with another dog and children to love and take care of me. Everyone who meets me says I’m really smart. Probably because I love to work on learning good manners in exchange for treats! I already have a lot of basic obedience commands like come, sit, down, and stay. I just need a little time and practice to learn more advance stuff. But honestly as much as treats are great, I’m really a lot more praise motivated (but don’t tell my foster mom that!). So if you end up adopting me you should plan on doing lots of training with me every day and I promise I’ll keep learning and making you proud. If you’re looking for a calm girl, maybe we can meet! I’ll be waiting in Folsom. You like this dog...now what? Please take 3-4 minutes and complete our application form. Our adoption team will spring into action to help you adopt this dog.
