I'm Lexi, and I must say, I'm pretty proud of my looks. At four years old and about 70 pounds, I've got this gorgeous dark sable coat that's hard to miss. But it's not just my appearance that stands out; it's my personality too. I've been told I'm a real sweetheart. People say I'm the dog equivalent of a Mensa member, and honestly, I can't argue with that. I'm a thinker, always weighing my options and sometimes even outsmarting my foster mom. Curiosity? I've got it in spades. I'm confident and eager to help with whatever's going on, whether it's inside the house or outside in the yard. Oh, and did I mention I've got those expressive eyes? They tend to tell my story pretty well. Now, I've got a spirited playmate in my foster home, a two-year-old German shepherd who's a ball of energy. He's constantly tugging on ropes, chewing on stuff, and basically being a pest in the most playful way possible. But here's the thing – I love it! I match his play style, whether it's chasing, wrestling, or letting him have his way with my neck (apparently, that's his idea of fun). I am a wonderful playmate for other dogs! And I can't resist the occasional zoomies on my own. However, I'm not all go, go, go; I take breaks to regroup and head back to my foster mom for some back scratches before diving back into the action. As for cats, I'm curious about them, but I promise I have no bad intentions. I've been around a senior cat in my foster home, and I've been nothing but polite. It's just that I like to understand what makes them tick. Inside the house, I'm well-behaved and house-trained. My curious mind leads me to investigate every statue, yard art, or any odd object I come across. I even notice the radio and TV when I pass through the living room – I guess I'm just that observant. Meeting new people makes me really happy. Scratch my back or rub my belly, and you'll see me in seventh heaven. And did I mention I enjoy garden hose baths? Yep, I'm a dog with unique tastes! But here's the deal – I need regular mental stimulation. I'm whip-smart, and that brain of mine craves some exercise. So, if you're considering bringing me into your home, make sure you're experienced with us German shepherd dogs who, like me, sometimes have their own agenda. I bond quickly, and I thrive on attention. I'm not just a pretty face; I'm a loyal and intelligent companion waiting to be a wonderful addition to some lucky family. I'll be waiting with my foster family in Santa Rosa. You like this dog...now what?
