Hi! I’m Bodhi—and if you’re looking for a super friendly, easygoing, all-around great companion, I might just be your guy. I love everyone. Seriously, people, other dogs (big or small), you name it—I’m happy to say hello. I walk like a pro on leash with zero reactivity, and I’m just as good in the house. Chill is kind of my vibe. I’m a big, handsome boy, weighing in at almost 70 pounds, but I’m a total gentleman. I take treats super gently, don’t guard my food or toys, and I’ve got a fantastic nose—especially when it comes to sniffing out snacks in your pocket. I like water, love lounging in the sunshine, and I’m always up for a car ride. I still have a little bit of that puppy energy, so sometimes I get mouthy when I’m overexcited or just really want your attention, but I’m working on it! I don’t have that typical husky urge to run off—I’d much rather hang out and enjoy life by your side. I haven’t met any cats yet, and squirrels are interesting, but I’m not much of a chaser. I’d do great with respectful kids, especially if the grown-ups help manage our playtime and my occasional mouthing. Bottom line? I’m a really good boy who’s ready to find my forever family. Could that be you? You like this dog...now what? Delta is in need of a foster or adopter. If you can help or are interested in adopting her, please contact Stockton Animal Services. Here is the information the shelter says about her. 🐑OUR POOR LITTLE LAMB DELTA IS SOOO SOFT! 👒This girl is only about 8-months-old, she and her sisters were so frightened it was thought that they might be feral! It turns out that this little lady is just too gentle, lacks confidence and it seems she came from a loving if not capable home.💔 She is a BIG needy puppy, WATCH OUT!😃 She falls to the ground in front of your feet at the drop of a hat hoping you will notice her and be kind enough to let her snuggle in your lap. She is the same with her doggie friends as she is with people. She wants to be involved in the fun but drops to the ground when they run by or asks her to play, she lacks the confidence to join them, instead once they pass her by, she gets up and follows along after them. 🐾This sweetie is a big squishy marshmallow that is looking for guidance from her people. We are hoping she finds a home that can help build her confidence, give her a warm fuzzy bed to snuggle in and a loving family that will treat her like the princess she truly is!👑👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 💙Delta A356931-Listed as a 8-month-old, female white and black Great Pyrenees and shepherd mix. at an adorable 60 pounds!  🐶She is the same in playgroups  with other dogs as she is with people. She is submissive, will roll over and show her belly, and will follow the other dog’s lead. She is in playgroups with male and female gentle dogs might be more playful in the home. Sweet dogs need confidence building, another dog in the home could help.🐶 🫶👉To foster or adopt Delta, you can stop by the shelter during normal business hours, or email sasfoster@Stocktonca.gov. Travis is a neutered male, about 2 years old, weighs 69 pounds. He is primarily German Shepherd, but also has a little bit of Husky and Staffie in him too. He is currently located at Search Dog Foundation in Santa Paula, CA. This is a Courtesy Post for Search Dog Foundation. Travis is a hunky hunk and he has all the things we love about German Shepherds…he is handsome, loyal, intelligent, trainable, soft to touch, and very playful. His original family raised him from puppyhood but couldn’t take him with them when they had to move out of state. The staff at the shelter in Los Angeles noticed his love of toys in addition to his ‘good boy’ temperament. They referred him to us (Search Dog Foundation), and we snapped him right up. The Search Dog Foundation is a working dog training center in Santa Paula, CA and we train dogs for search and rescue work.  However, Travis didn’t pass our extremely stringent medical clearance (due to a spot of arthritis in one of his hips that showed up in his x-rays) so we are hoping to help him find his perfect person(s) who will enjoy and appreciate him as much as we do. He did get adopted out from us, but came back when the older couple realized he was a little’ too much’ dog for their home, although they had nothing but good things to say about him… He is a sweet and playful boy who will catch a ball, play chase, tug a little (if you want him to). Besides looking a little like a teddy bear, he also looks much bigger in his photos than he is in real life. He’s actually a nice size (66 lbs) with a beautiful coat and soft loving eyes. He has a nice off switch and once he has decided you are worth his time, he is very affectionate (isn’t that just SO shepherd…?) His only bugaboo? He will need some further work on his leash skills. Travis is a fine dog who will thrive in an active environment with a normal exercise routine, just nothing too high impact (jumping off rubble piles and such…) Calling all Shepherd lovers! Don’t let this one get away! Kids? Older would be better, he is a big dog and quite physical. Cats? We cat tested him, he will need a slow and supervised introduction, but we think he would be ok. There were 2 cats in his adoptive home and he had been in the process of getting used to them. No disasters to report. Dog: He definitely could use some socializing with other dogs. He’s a little rough around the edges in this area. If another dog was in the home, we would definitely suggest a long and slow introduction process. Travis will be waiting in Santa Paula CA. Hi, I’m Irma! I'm a cute mix of German Shepherd and something smaller, maybe cattle dog??  I'm about 60 lbs and pretty much look like a German Shepherd. I'm about 4/5 years old and pretty darn healthy. I’m very affectionate with my person/people and will seek out those wonderful belly rubs (once I know you well enough that is).. I came into the shelter with a boken leg (it really hurt). I got it all fixed up and headed to rescue so I could find my home. After a lot of rehab and just taking it easy, my leg is healed!!  I still need to be careful when jumping off of things and still get assistance from my friends but I'm a smaller girl so it's easy peasy.   The big world outside is still a bit overwhelming for me—I’m interested in everything but not quite sure about some new things. My friends think maybe I didn't get to explore much in my previous home but that's all behind me now. I have been getting out on really cool walks and just observing all the wonders of being a dog. Oh, the smells........ I'm ok with other dogs if they are calm and easy going. I can be snarky at times but I"m just asking for space. I like people but may bark at strangers when they come in my home . I did great at the vet and won over every single person there!  They ask about me all the time. Right now I’d love a home where my family is around a lot and can help me slowly build my confidence as I discover new things. I'd probably do best in a quieter home without a ton of visitors (I'm not the party type) where I can learn about the world at a slower pace and still feel safe. Not sure how I feel about felines and other critters at this time but I'm sure I'll meet some soon so stay tuned. I ride well in the car but I'm a little scared getting in right now. It's all been fun once we get going so I'm sure I will start to love the whole car thing. OH, I like toys and once I get comfy I would love some I could toss around and get the zoomies with (now that I can get the zoomies again). I take treats gently and they are much appreciated. I'll be waiting to meet you in Santa Rosa - come say hi.   You like this dog...now what? Please take 3-4 minutes and complete our application form at:  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/42179/generic.  Our adoption team will quickly contact you by phone or email (watch your spam please) to see if it's a match!  If you are already approved to adopt, please contact your Adoption Counselor and they will help you set up a meeting.  You can also sponsor Irma by clicking here. ADOPTED 3/10/2025 Muppet is thought to be about 11 weeks. He is a substantial boy with heavy bone structure and it looks like he may have a longer coat.  He has a lovely temperament and is soft and sweet and his foster says he is super smart !  He loves to follow his fosters (can you spell velcrow?) around and loves to snuggle. He is good with the foster familys' resident dogs. He doesn't seem to be afraid of the livestock animals. Such a brave boy. Get this... Good with the cats and doesn't chase the chickens ! Muppet loves the family human child and they even had a snuggle nap together yesterday. Like all small puppies, he needs slow and proper introductions to large dogs. He will give an alarm stranger danger bark and then he is so sweet. If he gets kisses and licks from the other dogs, he will gladly give kisses back.  Once home, he will need time and patience to bond to you and feel safe. Such an adorable puppy and he loves to play with small appropriate children. Muppet would love balanced and calm fur siblings and he is good to go!  More will be added as we get to know Muppet but he seems to be a normal healthy pup with usual puppy needs. Puppies this age cannot be left alone for more than a couple of hours at a time. Adopted 2/26/2025  Puppy Huey is GSD smart, plenty busy and so so fun for those who love to train.   This handsome boy is approx 4 and a half months old.  His ability to learn and unfold outside of the shelter has been a joy.  Huey is responsive, inquisitive and very quick to learn as he experiences new things. Plus he is treat motivated! He is just going into that stage where puppies want to grab and bite things because adult teeth are trying to come in. Huey has been exposed to positive reinforecement and understands that  attention on his human brings reward. He is making new friends, learning about dogs and exploring everything from the beach to the shopping center. He is flourishing in his fantastic foster home where he has plenty of space to run, explore and play with the resident big dog! He is spending his days getting some good training, meeting new friends and developing a great sense of structure.  For the lucky person who chooses him and helps him navigate these crucial developmental stages, Huey is a prize. Huey is being crate trained in his new foster home and also has lovely dog bed to choose from. He is great in the car and recently took a six hour trip . Huey will do best with an adopter who has experience with German Shepherd pups or similar breed. Continuing and keeping up with training is a must for this smart boy.  Huey is being fostered in Auburn. **Puppies this age cannot be alone for more than a couple of hours a day. Alice is a tiny package of puppy adorable.  At around 12 weeks old, Alice appears to already have some basics. She will sit nicely for attention, those yummy treats and look for direction. She has the potty training aced. Doing very well !  Alice is around 16 pounds with a beautiful puppy soft coat and gives the sweetest puppy kisses. Loves dogs and people and feels very comfortable when she's held in your arms. She has four resident fur siblings from 3-13 years old and does well with them all. She's also started crate training and already knows how to use the doggie door. Being so young, she still may need to go potty during the night. She will tell you. This girl is well balanced, unarguable very cute and fearless. She's curious, playful and wicked smart. So far, she adores her toys and dare I say it, your shoe if you leave it around. She looks to you for trust that. you will protect her from harm and keep her safe. She seems to like water and not afraid of the rain. She is one very brave girl. She likes her food (veggies and fruit included) and loves to go out exploring with the adult dogs, She is alert, curious and very observant. Equipped with a good amount of common sense, Alice watches and studies your every move. Because of her small size, she doesn't venture very far. Checks in with you and seeks the refuge of a chair or a table so she can remain safe under there. She knows she's pretty small so adjusts her safe environment. She loves to snuggle with the large dogs and is happiest to share your bed blankets at night. Just putting it out there, she does love her dog beds too but for the person(s) who is looking to share their bed with a warm cotton candy sweetie. This girl is looking for a best friend!! We would love to see her in a home where she is able to shine and be loved to no end. Training her seems to be very fun for her and with the yummy treats, she will do a really good. job. She also met some large goats and she looks to you for instruction. Of course the goats are very friendly and wanted to play with Alice. We're taking applications for this sweetheart and the foster is looking at all the applications very carefully and will find the most perfect home for her. This nugget is very special and pulls hard at the foster's heartstrings and the best home for this girl is out there.  She's a real treasure and absolutely adorable. Alice knows this too ! Hi, I'm Kota. I'm a happy, playful, simply adorable GS mix looking for a family that wants to have fun. I'm only about 9 months old and I still have a lot to learn but I'm ready if you are. I love going places and being with my people and I really like playing with dogs that are not to over the top. Lots of energy and play is ok, just don't really care for the pushy, bossy type. A family that likes to hike, take walks, go to the beach or just play a good game of fetch is what I'm looking for. If you like to garden, I'm always ready to help or maybe just keep you company.  When you are busy, I can entertain myself with a good chew toy - I'm not destructive at all. I do get the zoomies once in a while - you know, typical puppy stuff. My foster mom says I could use some more training, even though I try really hard to please. I know some of my basics, like sit and wait and I'm a star at meeting new people and new dogs. I have been exposed to cats and, while I don't have a mean bone in my whole wiggly body, I might chase one just for fun so slow/proper intros would be a good idea.   I've met a few little humans and I think they are pretty funI I like riding in the car and going places. I'm also know to do my business outside, like a good pup should. I'm really a sweet, affectionate boy and I'm trying to wait patienlty for that perfect family to come see me and fall in love. Hi. I’m Finn!  I'm a happy, friendly boy and LOVE LOVE LOVE to meet new people. Sometimes I can't help it and want to say hi to everyone that passes by. I like other dogs, too, and enjoy a good game of "chase and be chased". I like it so much that some dogs think my greeting can be a little over the top but most want to play like me but I will chill if told to. I love walks and like to sniff everything. I'm great on leash as long as you use my front clip harness.  I don't pull with the front clip and it's easy to put on. I’m working hard on training and feel I have mastered sit, down, stay, shake and off. I am really a perfect walking buddy. But I love my walks and love to go out with my people.  Even though I love other dogs, sometimes I need to be reminded to share. However, if it’s a tug-of-war rope then GAME ON. I’ll play tug all day long!  If you have a swimming spot nearby, I'm in, literally. I ride nicely in the car and jump right in. I'm ready to roll. Even though l like other dogs, I really would be happy with my very own person. My foster family takes me to German Shepherd meetups and I’ve done great!  Like I said, I'm a friendly boy just waiting for that perfect family that wants to have fun and go places. Don't get me wrong, I can be a chill, snuggle buddy too and love to cuddle my foster dad in the mornings. I am  happy to liet at your side while you work or if youre just reading a book.  If you are looking for a great out-and-about boy, and have lots of energy and time to spend with me, come see me and we can be friendls. I really would like my own family soon. It's been a while and I am a super good boy. I have been told that I am mnore handsome in person. I am not reactive to dogs and I would love my own family, hopefully with a dog. I love to play. I'll be waiting with my foster family in Mountain View. ADOPTED 2/2/2025 CURRENTLY WITH A FOSTER IN SAN FRANCISCO but available for meet-and-greets! Lefty is a smart and handsome fellow with some great initial training, and has mastered many of the basics like "sit", "down", "stay", "wait" and "paw". He's about halfway there on "heel" and has excellent recall. We know he will thrive when he finds a family who has the time to spend with him.  Lefty can be an active dog, but he's equally happy vegging out on the couch. He makes a great camping, hiking, or running buddy, or will just sit with you while you hang out at home. His main happiness comes from being with his people. He behaves well with cats and loves other dogs, though his big puppy excitement can sometimes be too much for small dogs. Lefty will make a great companion for a family with older children, or individuals with time to spend with him. He is looking for his forever home and has lots of love to give to the right person. He's currently in San Francisco with a foster family and available for meetups or zoom chats on request.   Lefty is a courtesy post for the Humane Society of the North Bay. Adopted 1/26/2025 Hi there, I'm Jackson, a 15-17 month-old German Shepherd. I've been told I'm a super sweet boy, and I like to think I live up to that reputation. I'm about 80-85 lbs, tall and handsome. You may notice in my pictures I have one ear up and one down. I'm working on getting the down ear up and sometimes I succeed but I think the look gives me character, don't you think?  I'm a healthy, happy young boy with enough energy to play, hike, swim (I absolutely love the water) and do all the fun stuff but I can also chlll out with a nice bone and watch some tv with you. I am crate trained if needed and sleep through the night wherever you are. Remember, I'm still a younster even though I'm a big tall boy and still get the zoomies, I'll need training so I can be my bestest self. I totally adore the people in my circle of trust and thrive on attention and love! I haven't quite mastered the art of meeting new people and can be a little barky and pushy in my personal safety zones, like the home and car. I will need a little help with this and would do best in a home that doesn't have a lot of strangers coming and going - at least to start out and while I build my confidence. UPDATE: I have been doing much better with house guests !!!!  Doggo friends are cool and I can meet them with no issues at all. I think I would do well with another playful, confident dog pal in the home. Once I know who you are, we're rock solid buddies. I didn't want to get in the car at first but now I can't wait to jump in and go for a ride. I do like to hang out the window, which I know isn't safe, but some slow, country drives where I could do this safely would be great. Of course I can ride nicely in the car if I must. I'm pretty good on my leash, and do best on a front clip harness. I don't bark and carry on when I see other dogs out and about. I know my basics and work well for tasty treats. I do like to stick by my person and I have almost INCREDIBLE recall and will come charging back to you if you ask me to. Eager to please doesn't even begin to cover it—I live for those moments when I know I've done something right. In short, I'm a nice young pup with heaps of potential. I love to please my peeps and my current BFF tells me I'm going to be the bestest boy for the luckiest family. I do need training as I'm still a youngster and I need someone that helps me learn to meet new people when they come over to visit.  My foster's grandmother came for a 2 week visit and I was her favorite ! Truth ! Thanks to Kathryn Rothberg for sponsoring Mabel.  Hi, I'm Mabel! I'm a very gentle and affectionate 6-year-old girl, though my exact age is just an estimate from my vets. I’m great at meeting new people and love making new friends. I get along well with my buddy Atlas and the foster's kitty, so I’m definitely a social and easygoing gal. I’m fully potty trained, and I’m not destructive at all—I just enjoy spending time with my people. I’ve been recovering really well from some skin issues and a surgery to remove three cysts from my back end, and I’m feeling much better! My fur has all grown back and it looks beautiful. I’m super well-behaved at the vet and have no issues with leash reactivity, so walks are always enjoyable. I might need some brushing up on my leash skills but I am very attentive and so learn quickly. I’m looking for a calm, easygoing adopter who enjoys having a gentle companion. I’m an average-sized girl with a short, pretty coat, and I love to cuddle with my people. I’ve been fine being left home alone and I also enjoy car rides with. I’d do great with another calm dog, and I seem to be okay with cats too. I’m not sure how I feel about young children since I haven’t been around any, but I’m sure I’d be a sweet and loving friend to them with the right introduction. If you’re looking for a calm and cuddly girl, I think we’d get along great! I'll be waiting in Auburn.
