ADOPTED 9/28/2025 Hi, I’m Clyde! I’m a lanky, long-legged German Shepherd puppy who hasn’t quite grown into my legs yet—but don’t worry, I make them work with plenty of bounce. I’m spunky, silly, and endlessly curious. If there’s something new to sniff, I’m the first one on the case! Belly rubs are my weakness, and I’ll flop over with dramatic flair just to make sure you don’t miss your chance. Oh, one other thing, my DNA says I'm part Golden Retriever. I think my sister Bonnie looks the part but I favor the GSD looks!!! I’ve got plenty of puppy energy and can already tell I’m destined to be the best buddy for long walks, runs, and hiking adventures. For now, I’m busy making everyone laugh with my goofy ways and big heart. My foster family says I’m doing amazing—I come when called, follow nicely off-leash, and I’m nearly potty trained. I’m not destructive (go me!) and I’ve even started beginner agility. The jump and tunnel are my favorite, and I’ll blast through them just for fun during my zoomies. Right now, I’m learning leash skills and practicing meeting new people (so far, I think they’re pretty awesome). Basically, I’m a happy, goofy pup who’s ready to grow into your loyal adventure buddy. My sister Bonnie and I are hanging out with our foster family in Healdsburg, waiting to meet our forever people. Maybe that’s you? ADOPTED 9/25/2025 Hi there, I’m a lanky little German Shepherd pup with legs for days—I look like I’m training for the puppy Olympics! I’m super friendly and love making new friends, whether they have two legs or four. I’ve got that perfect balance of being outgoing and curious without being “too much,” so you can count on me to bring the fun without the chaos. My demeanor is quite soft and sweet I’m a quick study, a good listener, and already showing off my smarts (don’t worry, I’ll still keep you laughing with my goofy puppy moments). I play well with other dogs—confident, respectful, and ready for fun—and because I’m sweet and good at reading the room, I’ll likely do great with respectful kids too and will make a lovely family dog. When I’m all grown up, my tall physique and love for adventure will make me the perfect walking, running, and hiking buddy. For now, I’m just learning the ropes of puppyhood, but with my easygoing self-confidence, I know I’ll settle right into my forever home in no time. BTW, I rode like a champ on the long winding roads to my foster mom's house. Hi! I'm Athena- a healthy, sweet, young girl 12-18 months old. No matter how big I get, I think I'll always like to be a lap dog! Before I tell you more, there is something you should know about me --  I really prefer to have another nice dog in the home while I learn and build my confidence and it will really help me acclimate to new surroundings.   Ok, back to my other wonderful qualities - I follow my foster mom everywhere and have become quite the cuddler. I absolutely love people, kids, and other dogs. I get along great with all the dogs in my foster home — no issues at all! I'm getting used to the cat here BUT I don't know if I'm actually cat friendly as I sometimes bark and jump at the cat, but I am trying  to control myself. If I see the cat outside, I'm pretty chill, but inside is pretty darn exciting. Regardless, I'm a gentle girl with a little bit of learning left to do. I'm crate trained and do just fine being left alone. When my foster mom is home, I have access to the outside and use the dog door like a champ to go potty. I did great at the vet and ride pretty well in the car too (I may get a little car sick but I'll likley grow out of that). I’m learning how to walk on a leash — it’s a brand-new experience for me; I’m doing really well so far though. I’m a playful, affectionate, active girl, but not overly energetic — the perfect balance! I don’t really do anything wrong in the house, and my foster mom says I'm a "gentle blank slate" who's ready for a forever home ASAP. I am eager to find a family who will continue helping me grow. If you're looking for a sweet cuddle bug who loves to play and loves even harder, I might just be your girl! ADOPTED 9/18/25 Hi there! My name is Little Croc, though I’m not sure why they named me after a crocodile — I’m SO not a crocodile! Sure, my puppy teeth like to stay busy (I’m a Malinois, it’s in my DNA), but I’m a gentle soul through and through. My foster mom says I look just like Big Croc, my “brother from another mother,” but I’m my own sweet self. I absolutely love to chew—but don’t worry, I’m a professional! My foster mom gives me boxes to shred (I suspect she just doesn’t want to do it herself… it’s OK, I’ve got it covered). I’m also very polite with my bones and chew sticks. As for household items? I leave them alone. I stick to my designated “chew-approved” things. I came into rescue with a litter of bigger pups who think I make a good chair, but despite being smaller, I hold my own with a gentle and playful attitude. I get along with everyone — adult German Shepherds, GSD puppies, and humans of all sizes. I haven’t met a cat yet, but we’ll report back on that soon. Meal times used to be a bit chaotic because my bigger siblings would try to steal my food, but now I get my own peaceful crate-dining experience. I’m crate trained, potty trained, and even house trustworthy — as long as there are boxes to shred! I was crated far too much before being rescued, so I’m learning how wonderful it is to have space, playtime, and love. I’m a super affectionate, kissy pup who’s working hard to become the gooiest, wiggliest companion. My little butt wiggles so much when I’m happy (even though I can’t see it myself!). I’ll thrive with a family who is gentle, patient, and ready to provide me with obedience training, enrichment, and all that good “dog life” stuff. I’m currently hanging out in Cameron Park, waiting for my forever family. If you’re looking for a loving, gentle-hearted Malinois mix who’s ready to learn and make you laugh daily, I’d love to meet you. ADOPTED 9/14/2025 Hi; I’m Tilly! I’m a young German Shepherd with a big heart, a playful spirit, and a soft spot for toys and belly rubs. I’m the kind of pup who gives kisses freely, cuddles often, and brings just the right amount of goofy to the party. I get along great with my foster dog siblings and love joining in on playtime or hanging out nearby. Once I’m in the car, I'm a total pro —calm, curious, and always happy to come along for the ride. I do still get a little nervous out and about but with some practice and experience I'll be great. Just haven't had a lot of opportunity yet.  I’m still getting the hang of this whole “training and socializing” thing—I got a bit of a late start, but I’m eager to learn. My foster mom says I'm super smart and treat motivated. With a patient, committed adopter by my side, I know I’ll catch up quickly. I’ve got the brains, the sweetness, and the desire to please—just need someone willing to help me shine. There’s more to learn about me as I settle into my foster home, but one thing is already clear: I’m going to make someone very lucky. Could that someone be you? Adopted 9/7/25 Handsome Thomas is a stunning example of the breed.  Solidly built with a temperament that will make him an epic best friend for the person who allows their heart to be stolen by him. Thomas is a working lines dog purchased from a well known breeder and is not a boy for a first time GSD owner. He will thrive in a home with someone who loves to work with their dog and knows how to be in a relationship with a smart dog.  He was raised with other dogs, has basics in place and has been well loved. Thomas has also NEVER spent time away from his owners so he will require a patient transition and may be best as the only dog in the house.  He may display some anxiety initially in a new place and deserves a spot who will understand that leaving home without an explanation can seem a bit unnerving.   Thomas is appropriately cautious and you can see his mind working things out when he is faced with a new challenge.  His owner was in a serious accident while Thomas was still a puppy and that meant he has not had the depth of exposure that will really help him understand all the possibilities in this big adventure filled world.  He is good with people and other dogs and  adjusts to novel changes while out on walks remarkably well for an underexposed boy. Thomas is great in the car, housebroken, knows how to settle and can come alive for a ball or water!!  Enough drive to make him fun and enough caution to keep him in his head.  He is currently living with his family and BAGSR will partner to help them find the best possible place for Thomas.   If you are an experienced human who knows sensitive , smart dogs and has a passion for learning together then Thomas may be the right boy for you.  If he is calling to you please don't hesitate to ask for more info.  He will be waiting for you in the East Bay and his owners are lovely to talk to. Adopted 9/4/25 i! My name is Sass, and yes — I live up to my name! I’m a little over 4 months old and even though I’m smaller than my brothers, I’ve got a big personality packed into this petite frame. My sister Annie and I like to think of ourselves as the “little but mighty” duo. I’m proud of my sassiness because it’s wrapped in sweetness — I love my people, and everyone seems to love me right back! I’m the social butterfly of my litter. I’m always checking in with my foster mom, gently tapping her with my nose to let her know I’m around. I’m also quite the alert puppy — one time there were big noises outside, and I ran inside to make sure my mom knew! Yep, I’ve got a good head on my shoulders. I’m crate trained, potty trained, and I’m a doggie door pro. When it’s playtime, you’ll find me zooming through that door with my siblings like it’s a racetrack. I did have a bit of an adventure recently… I got stung by a bee, and my face puffed up like a little hamster. They called me “Hamster Face” for a week (how rude), but secretly, I was told I looked “super duper cute.” Don’t worry, my face is back to normal now, and I’m as adorable as ever. I had to have a few puppy teeth removed to make way for my adult teeth and all is on track ! I got lots of treats as compensation,  I came from a hoarding situation, but those days are behind me now. I sleep in a cozy bed, enjoy the cool air conditioning, and even let my foster mom use the vacuum on me (it feels kind of nice!). My fur is shiny, soft, and I smell amazing. I’m a smart little girl and can’t wait to start obedience training. Mental games, enrichment activities, and exercise are my jam. I also have a snuggly side — I absolutely love to be held and will happily fall asleep in your arms. Snuggle time is the best time, and I’ll give you sweet kisses while I’m at it. I’m looking for a family who will love my sass, nurture my smarts, and give me all the playtime, enrichment, and cuddles I need. If you’re ready for a sweet, spunky girl who’ll steal your heart, I’m waiting to meet you.Oh, and if I may say so, I love to snuggle with dogs too especially the older siblings. Hello, I'm Ziba, a spirited purebred senior with a heart full of love. My story? It's quite magical, really. Oh, I just had a dental spa day, my teeth are great ! My current foster had to go on vacation and I had 2 pet sitters and we went for hikes all the time. We went to streams and it was S0.MUCH.FUN ! I am super active and love to be active. My previous owner who loved me passed away suddenly and is now in heaven. All the neighbors rallied together and got me situated in a foster home and I have been witth him and his service husky (very well trained) since September 2024. My foster Dad really wanted to keep me and I loved them too, but the stars did not align and the magic continues. For weeks, my foster Dad worked with me to keep me loved, calm and allowed me to decompress as I was still grieving, I don't fully understand why my Dad hasn't come back but in the meantime, my rescue people are so nice to me. I may be a senior but I act more like 6 years old. I have energy to play and run around. I like the snow, the beaches and the mountains. I LOVE to go out and am excited in the car. The vet said that I am in great health and I can still jump in the car. But if you have a ramp, it was suggested that I use it.  I'm a shepherd so I will look at you for a few minutes to see if you are super nice. Once I figure it out, I am more more animated and will look to you for attention. I am easy to handle and walk. I can walk with smaller dogs but I like to play with the big ones. Little squirrels don't really bother me or cats for that matter. Bikes are also OK with me but I did see cows. Huge magical creatures, they are. Once a dog barked at me, and I barked back so i can stand on my own.  No biggie but big Human told me to step away and I did. I like good and yummy treats and I can sit really well.  My intelligence shines through as I quickly master new tricks. And, oh, the loyalty I have to offer! I'm also independent, content with a good chew toy or a peaceful nap. I'm sweet and friendly when I know you and I will love you endlessly. Adopting me would mean endless affection, unwavering loyalty, and a companion who's content just being by your side. I love to go places and can keep up!  I can't wait to find my forever home and share my magical love and adventures with you. I just want to be loved. My sitter has been taking me on lots of walks and hikes and I love being in the car and love being on walks. You like this dog...now what? Hello there! My name is Kobe, and I’m on the lookout for a family to call my own. My siblings and I got ourselves into a bit of a pickle — we were rescued from a hoarding situation where life was tough and love was hard to come by. But things are looking up now, and I’m ready to start fresh with a family who’ll give me the safe, happy home I’ve always deserved. I’m the biggest boy in my litter (and proud of it!). I love my meals — no more going hungry for me! — and I especially enjoy my bones and chew toys to help with my pearly white puppy teeth. Wrestling with my siblings has been my favorite game, but now that I’m in a new foster home, I can’t wait to meet and play with the resident dogs (and even the cat when I get a chance). I’m crate trained, potty trained, and a very good car passenger. After living outside for most of my life, being indoors with cool air conditioning and a soft bed feels like pure luxury. I’m getting used to toys and absolutely love shredding boxes or searching for hidden treats as part of my daily enrichment. It’s so fun to have activities that challenge my brain! Bath time? I sat like a gentleman and enjoyed every moment of getting clean and fresh. I’m also used to everyday household noises — vacuums, TVs, music — none of it bothers me anymore. I’m not sure what my favorite song is yet, but I’m open to listening to your playlist while we hang out. I’m an affiliative boy, which means I enjoy human company and will happily make eye contact to connect with you. I’m eager to learn, and with the right guidance and some basic training, I know I’ll grow into the “bestest boy” ever. You need to know I love to snuggle. If you can fit me on your lap. I will fall asleep and sometimes snore. It means I am super comfortable.  I’m waiting here in Auburn, ready to meet my forever family. Hi, I’m Luka! I’m a 7 year-old, 60-pound ball of fun with a heart as big as my smile. I’m super friendly, always happy to meet new people, and I never turn down a good petting session. When you greet me, you’ll find I’m alert, ready for adventure, and just waiting for whatever’s next. I love exploring—whether it’s checking out every sight, sound, and smell in a new yard, hiking a trail, or splashing in water (swimming is one of my favorite things!). I walk nicely on leash with just a little happy pulling at first, and I hop in and out of the car without a fuss. In fact, I love car rides and will be your go-to travel buddy. I get along great with other dogs, big and small, though if the tiny ones start zipping around, my playful prey drive kicks in, so I’d probably do best with dogs my size or larger. I meet politely—no barking, just curious greetings—and I’m always ready to make a new friend. Now, let’s talk about my true passion: the ball. I LOVE the ball. I’ll chase it, sprint after it, bring it back, and drop it right at your feet for more. I’m fast, agile, and have plenty of energy—don’t let my age fool you, I’m no couch potato! I even spent some time at a prison training program searching for contraband, but… well… I was too friendly to pass. My recall is absolutely amazing—one of the best you’ll ever see—so I can hike off leash and still come running back the moment you call. I’m confident, adaptable, and not bothered by noise or chaos. I’ll happily adjust to a new family as long as I get lots of attention, play, and adventures. Whether we’re hiking, swimming, traveling, or just tossing the ball in the yard, I’m happiest when I’m doing things with my person. If you’re looking for a fun, loyal, go-anywhere companion, I’m your girl. Pack the ball, start the car, and let’s go! Hi, I’m Annie! I’m just over 4 months old, and my siblings and I are on a journey to find loving forever homes. Right now, I’m living with my amazing foster mom and a whole crew of gentle and neutral German Shepherds, some playful corgis, and a funny little chihuahua named Skittles. I came from a tough start—rescued from a hoarding junkyard situation where life was scary and uncertain. But now, I’m learning what it’s like to be safe, loved, and cared for. I’ve discovered warm cozy beds, squishy rugs, and even get to relax on the ‘fur’niture’ (my foster mom says I’m allowed!). One of my favorite things is snuggling on a lap until I fall asleep. I sleep right through the night and am starting to learn obedience from my foster who is also a trainer too ! I show a lot of promise but step byy step, right? I intergrate well with a pack of GSD's (highly trained) but can also be by myself. I'm a smart, curious girl—I can already jump onto the couch to look out the window, I’m crate trained, potty trained, and I quickly figured out how to use the doggie door! I love chew sticks and bones to help with my puppy teeth, and I enjoy romping around with my siblings learning how to play politely. Even though my past taught me to be cautious, I’m very trusting with kind people and learning every day that the world isn’t so scary after all. I’d thrive in a patient, gentle home that will show me all the wonderful sights, smells, and adventures life has to offer. I’m even cat-friendly! I ride well in the car and am soaking up everything my foster family is teaching me. My foster mom says I’m a “gentle soul with a sweet disposition” who is eager to be someone’s very best friend. I know I can do it ! Could you be my new family? By the way, my Mom is a GSD trainer ! Whoa ! I am in the best hands..... come meet me and I will show you my skills.  If you are interested in this dog...now what? Please take 3-4 minutes and complete our application form at:  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/42179/generic.  Our adoption team will quickly contact you by phone or email (watch your spam please) to see if it's a match!.  If you are already approved to adopt, please contact your Adoption Counselor and they will help you set up a meeting.  You can also sponsor Annie by clicking here. Adoopted 8/11/2025 Hi, I’m Bart! I’m just over 4 months old and already dreaming of finding my forever family. My siblings and I didn’t have the best start to life — we came from a hoarding situation where we didn’t know what love, safety, or even a full belly felt like. But I believe it’s never too late for a fresh start, and that’s exactly what I’m hoping for. These days, life is much better. I get yummy food, fresh water, fun chews and bones to help with my puppy teeth, and best of all—snuggles! I’m a really good puppy at heart and just need a family willing to give me a chance to show how amazing I can be. I’m still working on the crate training but am potty trained, and I even know how to use the doggie door. I sleep soundly in my crate overnight and I’m a polite traveler in the car. I love to play (especially games like chase!) and I’m learning all about how to be a fantastic family dog. My foster mom says I’m already well on my way—I just need some gentle reminders as I grow. I get along well with other dogs and respectfully share my foster home with several furry friends. My sibling is good with cats, though I haven’t been officially cat-tested yet. Loud sounds like vacuums, mirrors, and even the TV don’t bother me anymore — I’ve been acclimated to lots of household noises and take it all in stride. I love giving kisses when I’m snuggled up on a lap, and my silly ears (which may or may not stand up) only add to my charm. Bath time? No problem—I actually enjoyed feeling all clean and fresh! I’m looking for a patient and loving family who will continue to protect me, guide me, and help me become the fantastic dog I know I can be. With daily enrichment, proper chew toys, and lots of love, I’ll be your loyal and happy companion. If you’re ready to meet a sweet, resilient pup with so much love to give — I’m right here waiting for you. Adopted 8/11/25 Hi! My name is Sonny, and I’m just over 4 months old. I’m on a journey to find my forever family — a home where I can feel safe, loved, and continue to grow into the amazing shepherd I know I can be. My foster parents are patient and gentle with me, and I’m so grateful to have them guiding me as I adjust to this new, wonderful life. I came from a rough hoarding situation, where life wasn’t kind. My siblings and I lived in a car junkyard, dodging aggressive dogs and barely getting by. But thanks to a very kind animal control officer named Ms. Beth, we were rescued just in time. Now, I’m learning what it means to be clean, fed, and loved — and it’s a feeling I could definitely get used to! I’m trying really hard to be the “goodest boy.” I’m already crate trained, potty trained, and I’ve been on my first family cabin adventure, where I loved exploring new sights and smells. I’m a smart pup, and with the right family, I know I’ll be an eager learner. My foster home has toys, chews, soft beds, and lots of love — all things that were completely new to me but I’m happily embracing them now. I’ve never known life outside of a junkyard, so everything is a learning experience. TVs and mirrors? They were super weird at first, but I’m getting braver every day. I just need a family who understands that slow and steady wins my trust — once I feel safe, I’ll show you my sweet, loyal heart. I’m looking for a forever home that will continue to be patient and kind, with people who will teach me the good life and help me become the amazing shepherd I’m meant to be. In return, I’ll be your most grateful companion. If you’re ready to open your heart to a pup who will try his hardest and love you deeply, I’d love to meet you. By the way, I am crate and potty trained, and know how to go through doggie doors. Adopted 8/10/2025 Hello! My name is Silver, and I bet you can guess how I got my name — my soft, medium-length silver coat is as stunning as it is silky (thanks to the amazing bath I had recently). It felt so good to be clean and fresh, and I’m loving this new life where I get to be cared for and loved. I’m a quiet, thoughtful fellow. While my siblings are busy being social butterflies, I prefer to take a step back, observe, and study my surroundings. I’m independent and calm, which my foster mom says is pretty special for a young pup like me. Coming from a hoarding situation with over 30 dogs, I’m learning to appreciate the peacefulness of a foster home with green grass, fresh air, and no junk cars in sight. That soft grass feels amazing under my paws! I’m crate trained, potty trained, and I can zoom through the doggie door like a pro. I love having my own space, a cozy bed inside a cool, air-conditioned home, and food that’s just for me. I’ve realized I don’t care much for rude dogs in my face, and luckily, I’m not in that chaotic environment anymore. Now, I’m slowly discovering how good life can be with kind people and a safe place to grow. There’s so much love in my heart, and I’m ready to share it with a patient, gentle family who will help me continue to explore the world at my own pace. I’m a quick learner and eager to bond with my humans — I just need someone to show me that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. If you’re looking for a sweet, independent pup who will blossom with love and guidance, I’d really like to meet you. Hi, I’m Nyx! I'm a sweet, affectionate young lady, just over a year old, and super cute if I must say. I’m a good girl and I love my squeaky toy — seriously, it’s my favorite thing ever. I also enjoy a good game of fetch and will happily bring the ball back to keep the fun going. Everything you want in a companion, right?  Wait, there's more  -  I walk nicely on leash and I am good with small and large dogs. Hey, I miight even be cat workable!  At home, I’m calm and trustworthy — you can leave me alone and come back to find everything just as you left it. No chewing, no trouble!  Don't forget though, I am young and my exposure to loud, noisy things while ot walking can scare me for a minute but all I need is for my person to assure me all is well and we're on our way again. I'm a quick study! My foster mom says I'm very smart. When you're working from home, I’m right there with you, curled up quietly at your feet. I’m a loyal, mellow companion who’s just happy to be by your side. I'll be waiting with my foster mom in Truckee. Hi there! I’m a healthy young lady with a soft heart, a gentle soul, and a dream — to find my forever person (or people!) who will love me endlessly... and maybe sneak me a snack or two. I'm not just a pretty face — though, let’s be honest, I am stunning — I’ve got beautiful markings, a silky coat, and the kind of calm, affectionate personality that makes people say “aww” without even meaning to. I bonded quickly with my foster mom  — what can I say? I know a good thing when I see it! Once I feel safe, I’m all in. I’m the kind of girl who wants to be by your side, whether we’re strolling the neighborhood or snuggled up for a Netflix binge (I don’t pick the show, but I will hog the blanket). I walk nicely on leash — unless a squirrel makes eye contact, in which case I may briefly lose all chill. I also love chewing on bones and playing with toys, especially the ones that squeak (those are clearly the best kind). I’ve got a solid “something’s up” bark, but I’m not the type to bark just to hear my own voice. I’m fully housebroken, sleep peacefully through the night on my own bed and have pretty good house manners (I even wipe my paws... okay, I don’t, but I would if I had thumbs). I take treats like a lady and allow handling all over — spa days included! I was a total champ at the groomer — even for the dreaded nail trim. My coat’s looking fabulous, by the way. Just saying. I also happen to love car rides. I’m quiet, polite, and make a great co-pilot — especially if snacks are involved. In my foster home, I live with other German Shepherds and a pack of adorable Corgis. We all get along just fine, though I do find the Corgis suspiciously short. Because I’m a sensitive girl with a tender heart, I’d love a human who can be around a lot in the beginning to help me feel safe and secure. The shelter was loud and scary, but now that I’ve experienced love, cozy beds, and a regular brushing schedule, I’m ready to offer my whole heart to someone who wants to share theirs too. So… what do you say? Could we be each other’s people? I’m waiting in Lower Lake, ears perked and tail wagging, hoping you’ll come find me soon. ADOPTED 7/27/25  MAYDA WAS A CP FOR OWNER, NOT OUR DOG Hi there! I’m a well-traveled, well-mannered German Shepherd boy with a heart full of adventure and a gentle soul. I’ve been all over—yep, even flown a couple times in the main cabin like a seasoned pro. I’ve met tons of people and dogs along the way, and I love making new friends. I sometimes stay with a sitter who always has a house full of pups, and we have a blast playing together in her backyard. I play especially gently with the littles.  I’m polite, social, and easy to take places. I walk nicely on leash, enjoy meeting kids and grown-ups alike, and I’m happy to let new people give me pets. I’ll alarm bark to let you know if something’s up, but I settle easily. I have a soft spot for squeaky and noisy toys. I’m crate-trained and actually love curling up in my crate at night. My house manners are great, and I can be left alone without any trouble. I have mastered my basic obedience skills and know some fun tricks too! I adore car rides, hiking adventures, and going to doggy daycare to romp with my pals. Something you should know about me is I get a little too interested in my food bowl and may lift a lip if I think you are trying to take it. I know, I know, but I just love my food. I have never ever bitten or even snapped, I just loose control of my lip a little bit. I take treats very gently though, it's just my bowl. Oh—and while I haven’t officially lived with cats or small animals, I will likely be just fine with them as I ignore the cats at the home I go to when my owners are away and can't take me with them. All in all, I’m a friendly, fun-loving, and well-rounded guy looking for my next chapter. Let’s go places together! I'll be waiting in Vallejo. Hi, I’m Max! And yes—I am as soft, fluffy, and handsome as I look. People stop me on walks just to admire my gorgeous golden coat (which is a striking swirl of gold, black, and brown, by the way). My pictures? They don’t do me justice. My foster mom calls me her “golden boy,” and honestly… she’s not wrong. I’m a healthy, happy 6-year-old gentleman with a heart as big as my paws. I get along well with other dogs—I'm more of a “let’s chill together” kind of guy than a wild play wrestler, but I’d probably enjoy a calm dog buddy and maybe the occasional game of chase. I’m also perfectly content as your one and only—more belly rubs for me that way. As for cats? I’m polite, respectful, and honestly kind of confused by them. They just… sit there. Not my vibe. I walk beautifully on leash—no pulling, no drama—and I love getting out to sniff all the good stuff. Pet stores, plant nurseries, neighborhood strolls… you name it, I’m ready to sniff it! I ride like a champ in the car, and while I haven’t seen much of the world yet, I’m excited to explore it with a patient and loving family who’ll show me the ropes. I’m super treat-motivated too, so training me is a breeze. Did someone say snack? I absolutely adore my foster mom. I stick by her like fluff on a sweater, and I’ll do the same with you once we bond. I’m a lovebug through and through—I’ll never say no to pets, cuddles, or a good long scritch session. When I’m feeling extra happy, I might even give you a little joyful bounce (don’t worry, I’m gentle, just… 85 pounds of gentle). Because of my size, I might be best with slightly older kids who won’t get bowled over by my occasional enthusiasm. I enjoy a good game of ball and love exploring the yard, but I’m really just a mellow, affectionate, big ol’ sweetheart looking for someone to love me as much as I’ll love them. Fun fact: BAGSR did a DNA test on me (because I’m fancy like that), and it turns out I’m 62% German Shepherd plus a magical blend of Belgian Malinois, Belgian Tervuren, Australian Shepherd, and even a little Cattle Dog! Basically, I’m a one-of-a-kind masterpiece with the coat to prove it. So… what do you say? Want to meet a gentle, fluffy dreamboat who’s ready to be your loyal best friend? I’ll be waiting (very handsomely) in Auburn! Hi, I’m Dakota! I’m a young German Shepherd mix and, not to brag or anything… but I’m kind of the total package. I’ve got the perfect petite size—small enough to fit in your car, your life, and probably your heart—and a personality that’s 100% sweet, social, and sparkle. I’m great with other dogs, and I greet new humans with excellent manners (think southern charm, but fluffier). I love car rides and will happily be your co-pilot on all your errands, road trips, or drive-thru snack runs. I’m not picky. I just like being with you. At home, I’m a dream—great manners, zero trouble, and no need to hide your shoes. I’ve got that magical combo of playful and chill. Want to toss a toy around? I’m in. Want to binge a show and do nothing? I’m also in. I'm just a go-with-the-flow kind of gal. I walk nicely on leash and do my best to stay cool, even when other dogs are around—but I might get a little wiggly with excitement. I mean, who doesn’t get pumped seeing their friends out and about? I’m quiet, friendly, and a total rockstar at the vet (they even said I was a very good girl—I have it in writing… sort of). I’m ready to be someone’s best friend, adventure buddy, and snuggle partner. So if you’re looking for a lovable, easygoing, fun-sized shepherd with a happy heart, we should definitely meet. I’m currently hanging out in Fresno, but my human is happy to travel for meet and greets. So don’t let geography get in the way of destiny! Dakota is a courtesy post. I already know some tricks, and I’ve learned to look at you when I want a treat—pretty polite, right? I walk well on leash, ride like a champ in the car, and I’m crate-trained too. I have lovely house manners overall and am a gentle, fun presence wherever I go. I get along great at the dog park and even adjust my play style when I’m around little dogs. I was excellent with test dog Croc, and I allow all-over handling with ease. I really love balls—chasing them, carrying them, you name it. I also enjoy watching the chickens in the yard (I don’t chase them!) and try to play with the cats in the house, even though they just ignore me. That’s fine—I’m a good sport. If you’re looking for a friendly, happy, affectionate shepherd who’s just as ready to go on adventures as he is to hang out at home, I might be your guy. I’ve got the brains, the looks, and the heart—just waiting for my person to share it all with.
