Vienna is a 2 year old sable German Shepherd. She is up to date on vaccines, is spayed and has been on flea/tick/heartworm preventative.... show more
Vienna is a 2 year old sable German Shepherd. She is up to date on vaccines, is spayed and has been on flea/tick/heartworm preventative. Vienna is trained in obedience such as heel, sit, down, stay, fetch. Vienna is trained in English, French and Italian. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night. She is good with kids, but may be too playful for a toddler. She is good with male and female dogs, but not with cats. She rides well in the car, does not jump fences, walks well on a leash.. She does not have separation anxiety, lets you take toys away and is great with strangers. When the BAGSR evaluator met her, Vienna was excited and friendly and allowed the evaluator to touch her all over. She met the evaluator's male and female dogs easily with no issues. After the initial greet, she focused on her owner who had a ball and treats. Vienna does well during baths and likes to be brushed. She is super smart and does what you ask of her. She would do well with an active person that likes to run and/or hike and would provide her with her daily exercise. Since she has great obedience, it would be awesome if her adopter would continue with her training. She is a fast learner. Vienna has terrific house manners and will alarm bark when somone comes to the house. She does like to chase squirrels. Vienna gets nervous around loud booming sounds so living in a rural area with regular gun shot sounds (and fireworks) would not be appropriate for her. Vienna will be waiting in Placerville. There is an urgent need for Foster and/or Adopters home. Indy is just under 2 years old, approximately 70 pounds, and already neutered. This is a courtesy post for Stockton shelter. Indy’s ideal adopter will: Be ACTIVE and enjoy jogging, hiking, and/or long walks daily Love playing brain games and training to stimulate his mind Continue his crate training - currently he requires an industrial crate and shouldn’t be left home alone uncrated Be home regularly to help him adjust to his new surroundings, at least until he forms a bond and his anxiety lessens Understand how to work through his puppy behaviors, like chewing and jumping or becoming mouthy when excited Throw the ball again and again and again Share lots of delicious treats Take him on car rides (preferably for a pup patty) Give him all the cuddles and pets Not have cats or small animals, or small children. ADOPTED 02 25 23 Hi! I’m Xena. I’m a 7 month old petite pup. I only weigh about 45 pounds but will get a little bigger as I grow and get stronger. I’m a sweet-tempered girl and am very friendly. I go right up to new folks for pets and loves. I do well with other dogs too and prefer my dog friends to be soft and gentle like I am. I get uncomfortable with dogs that are too pushy and rough. I am good on leash. I still pull a little because I get so excited to see noew things. I really want to have my people close to me. I like going in the car and getting out and about. I like to go shopping and enjoy seeing new things. I’m still learning and sometimes jump up to say hi so I will do best in a home without small children. Kids age eight and above would be fine. I sleep quietly all night next to the humans. My gut does best on a natural diet and it tastes better too! Even when there are other dogs around I tend to be more interested in what the humans are doing and I love to flop on my back for belly rubs. Adopted 2/19/2023 Hi! I’m Ricky. I’m a 5 month old friendly, loving and confident boy. In 4 weeks with my foster family, I have learned about the vacuum, hair dryer and other loud noises that used to scare me. I like meeting new people and dogs but may bark at first. I am eager to please and love all attention, especially snuggling with my foster family (including the dog, Jack). I am terrific on and off leash in the park and love my daily walks. I listen well and have learned some commands including sit and stay. I enjoy playing with toys and have learned that socks and shoes are not toys! I do love my chew bones. I like watching TV - especially animal shows. I also LOVE food but do not counter surf or take from my foster brother. I am crate trained and sleep through the night (at least 7+ hours). I’m a 2 year old boy and I weigh about 81 pounds. I’m friendly and playful. In fact I love toys and enjoy engaging my foster dog sibling to play with my toys with me. I think it’s great to have my foster brother around! When my foster dad and mom leave us alone, they spy on us via the security cameras and we just chill or play together. I’m a quick learner and my people are so proud of me for trying hard and understanding quickly. I’ve already learned so many of the things that all good dogs should know; I even wait patiently to eat until I get the OK signal. I’m perfect at using the dog door and know to go outside for potty. I am polite when meeting new dogs and can be a tad shy sometimes meeting new people. I warm up quickly though-especially when there are treats involved. I do great when I’m out and about and love to sniff and explore. I have really good leash manners-no pulling or barking at other dogs. I’ve shown a tad bit of interest in cats and horses and I am interested in squirrels. But don’t seem to have a super high prey drive so I MAY be cat workable with proper introductions. I will be a wonderful companion to take with you on adventures of all kinds. I am a social boy so my friends say that my new home should be with people who like to go places and of course bring me along. If my family has to leave me sometimes, I would prefer that there is another dog to keep me company. But…my adopters should be home most of the time or take me along so I am not left much. I have been around kids 10 and older and do great. I did fantastic at the dog doc and even fell asleep during my pedicure. I actually enjoy all over handling and plenty of love and affection. My fosters say that I am super affectionate and love to cuddle and get pats and belly rubs. They say I am a joy to have around! I hope you’d like to meet me! I’ll be waiting in Mountain View. ADOPTED ON 2/9/23 Rain is an amazing pup! He learned the dog doors within a few hours and was going out to potty by himself within a day. He's super affectionate with people and loves to hug. He is a blank slate with basic obedience so we're working on that. He's a little nervous to play with the resident dogs at first, but after a few days is asking to play. He was cat tested and was afraid of the cat. He's great with other dogs of all sizes. He has absolutely no reactivity. He's very curious on walks and closely watches all people and dogs. He does not bark or lunge, he just looks. He is a medium energy dog. He's been going on 3 mile daily walks with his foster family with playing with the other dogs. He plays with toys on his own and engages in play with his foster siblings. Rain does not like the crate and ate the crate tray. He rides well in the car, but will chew on stuff if available. He's a puppy! Rain would do best in a home with another playful but not overly dominant dog. He also loves people so much that he would do best in a home where his person is home a lot or Rain could go to work with them. Rain went on a trip to Pet Food Express and did great! He came nose to nose with a small breed dog and was a perfect gentleman. He engaged with the staff and leaned in for pets. Rain has shown some resource guarding of his person when other dogs approach. He has not bitten or lunged, just snarled. He stops with a quick "no". He would do best with a confident owner to work on this issue and so that Rain knows this behavior is not allowed. He is VERY sensitive. Adopted on 2/8/2023. Hi! I’m Shawn. I’m a 4 month old pup. My foster family says I’m a friendly, confident and sweet boy. They say I’m a leader and am immediately comfortable with new people and other dogs. Oh…and I’m smart too. I already know to go potty outside and am learning the basics and how to walk on leash. I am a super listener and will bond quickly with my new family. Everything is a toy right?? I’ll pick up shoes, gloves, etc and even pull thing off the counter 😊. I like my crate and will sleep quietly through the night. I love chew bones and hide them in the backyard - and the living room! Outside I use my nose to cover my bones with dirt and leaves. I get caught a lot because of the dirt on my nose-haha. I have just the right amount of energy for a pup my age. I love to chase or be chased in the yard and I get along just fine with other dogs of all of sizes. I haven’t met any cats yet but my foster family thinks I will do fine with them. Adopted 1/20/23 Meet Allie! She is a sweet and extremely active nine week old pup. She loves to play with her sister and the foster’s resident 7 year old shepherd. Allie is curious and looks to play in any plant in the garden. She doesn't show much interest in balls yet but sure enjoys her Kong toy. And tug is one of her favorite things to do! She has discovered snuggles. Who wants a lap dog? She is treat motivated and is starting to work on basic commands. Allie sleeps well in a crate. She is eating well and is learning to go potty outside. Puppies this age cannot be left for more than a couple of hours at a time. ADOPTED 1/24/2023 Hi! I’m Ari. I’m a three and a half month old girl with a pretty white coat. I’m a spunky pup full of curiosity and confidence. I love to explore and am quite observant. Planes flying overhead fascinate me and checking bushes and trees for creatures keeps me rather busy. I’m playful with other dogs; I really enjoy romping with my foster brother pup and he’s quite a bit bigger than I am-no matter! I’m smart and attentive. My foster mom is teaching me the basics that all good dogs should know and I’m proud to say, I’m catching on quickly. I’m working on remembering to go potty outside and am doing great. I’ve met the cat who lives at my foster home and I’m interest but don’t chase. With proper introductions, I may be just fine with cats. I’ll be waiting in Auburn. Ash likes to romp and roll with her sister. She will play ball and is starting to bring it back when someone tosses it for her. ADOPTED 1/15/2023 My name is Zoey. I’m a nine week old girl and everything is pretty much brand new to me. I’m quite gentle and love to chew on things since my big dog teeth are coming in and chewing feels great. My foster family including three big German Shepherds are watching out for me and showing me the ropes, but there is so much to learn! I heard that when I get adopted I’ll have my own private tutor. My favorite things, besides mealtime of course, are chewing my toys in a big soft dog bed, following my foster dad everywhere, and sleeping next to him on the couch. I’m afraid he’ll get lost if I’m not there so I like to keep him close. At night I have my own crate in the bedroom. I try to keep 👀 lookout so the big dogs can get some rest, but I fall asleep a lot. If you are ready for some puppy fun, maybe we can meet.
