(See information below in the "Adoption Fee" section.)  Born in the middle of October 2023, Frank came to us from a local rescue with his siblings. At 5.5 lbs., he is one of the larger puppies in his litter. With a pit bull mother and an unknown father, his future size will be hard to predict.  Frank is an adorable pup with brown fur, white chin markings, and a mischievous glint in his eyes. He is a curious boy who likes to explore and check out new things and then report back his findings to the hoomans. Frank also isn’t above tattling on his siblings. He is an active pup who falls asleep quickly at the end of the day.  Frank spends his days romping and cuddling with his numerous siblings and getting lots of playtime, love, and new adventures with his foster family. He is growing into a healthy, active, affectionate pup ready for his perfect forever home.   At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We are 100% foster based and rely on volunteers and fosters to help in our mission. Our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Adoption fee: $450-$550. Meet Biggie! Biggie is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the “Adoption Fee” section.) Biggie is a tan and white male beagle/hound mix (best guess) who is estimated to be between 40-60 lbs. when fully grown. He was transported from Texas by Austin Pets Alive to our rescue in Spokane, WA, where he had his first experience with snow. Loyal, playful, affectionate, and friendly, Biggie loves kisses and attention. He is the sweetest, most loving boy. Biggie enjoys snuggling up with his hoomans and is also content to settle down on his own and nap.  He gets along with all the dogs and the older kids he has met. While he hasn’t met cats or younger children, we think he would do well with proper introductions. Biggie is fitting in with his new pack, learning how to play with everyone and how to read cues from other dogs.  Biggie loves treats and is learning to sit. He is easy to correct with verbal corrections and is eager to please.  Biggie eats his meals when he wants to and won't eat them if he isn't hungry.  He prefers being with people over being in his crate and might whine a little about leaving the fun, but once in it, Biggie does fine and can spend several hours crated. Potty training has progressed well with no accidents in the house with a consistent schedule. Biggie is seeking someone to love him and let him be their best friend. This cuddly and affectionate pup will be your exercise buddy and binge-watching bestie. Biggie is vaccinated and will be neutered prior to his adoption. Biggie spends his days romping and cuddling and getting lots of love, playtime, and new adventures with his foster family. Meet Heidi! Heidi is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the “Adoption Fee” section.) Heidi was transported by Austin Pets Alive from Texas to our rescue in Spokane. About six years old, Heidi is a petite lady with adorable, floppy ears and a tail that never stops wagging. A mix of chihuahua and possibly miniature pinscher or dachshund (best guess), she is about 12 lbs. and fully grown. Heidi is one the friendliest dogs you will ever meet; she loves everyone and every dog she encounters. She is outgoing and welcoming with strangers and kids and expects to be petted by all those she comes across on her outings. Heidi is very well behaved with cats. She is very affectionate and loves to give kisses. Heidi is a cuddler and is perfectly content to spend time curled up in your lap or snuggled next to you. Heidi is completely house trained and will use a doggie door. She is crate trained as well; tell her it is bedtime, and she walks in and settles down, sleeping quietly through the night. Heidi enjoys going for walks and behaves well on a leash. She settles into routines quickly. Heidi is vaccinated and will be spayed prior to her adoption. Heidi spends her days romping and cuddling with her foster family and getting lots of love, playtime, and new adventures. Meet Linguine! Linguine is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option to your local area (see "adoption fees" section below for more details). Born at the start of October 2023,  Linguine is a female dachshund/chow mix that came to us from a local rescue with her mom and siblings. She is a little pup at just 5 lbs but is expected to be a small/medium dog at around 30 lbs when fully grown. She is a sweet girl who would thrive in a home that can give her daily walks and frequent cuddles. Linguine is a friendly girl who loves to play. She is affectionate, gentle, and loves to give kisses. She would be perfectly content to spend every moment in your arms and getting all the snuggles she can get. She can be the last one to join the party but once she is there, she enjoys being the center of attention.  Linguine is a smart girl who needs stimulation and companionship throughout the day. We therefore think that her ideal home would be somewhere with another dog (or opportunities for dog playdates), and/or a stay at home parent so that she can get social activity and daily walks. She also needs a family that is looking for lots of cuddles!  Linguine will be spayed prior to adoption. At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. Meet Bet! Bet is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the "Adoption Fee" section.) Born in 2023, Bet came to us from Big Spring, Texas. She is a small breed dog and not expected to grow to more than 20 pounds as an adult. Bet is a gentle, sweet girl who loves to be near you snoozing. She might be small but she has a big heart and an even bigger personality! She spends her days hanging out with her humans, playing with her favorite bacon plush toy and snuggling up in the warmest spot she can find. She is a little shy at first, but quickly warms up and gets to exploring her surroundings. She will follow you around like a little shadow, and has excellent at home manners and is potty-trained. In the mornings, she likes to play with her foster sibling Theo - even though he is 70 lbs of fluff - that doesn't scare her! She is learning some basic commands like "sit" and "stay", and is learning how to walk with a leash. She is quick to pick up new things with the help of some tasty treats and positive affirmation. She is very generous with her love and loves to snuggle in whatever soft blankets she can find. She's a very sweet quiet girl with a big heart and even bigger ears! Meet Macaroni, our tripod puppy! Macaroni (fondly known as "Mac") is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option to your local area (see "adoption fees" section below for more details). Born at the start of October 2023 Mac is a male dachshund/chow mix that came to us from a local rescue with his mom and siblings. As we were doing intake, we noticed that Mac had one paw missing. We believe that his mom may have accidentally chewed his leg off during birth as she was biting through the umbilical cord. We were not sure if Mac would make it but he has really shown us that he is not just a fighter, but a little guy with a lust for life and who is ready to take on the world. Each day he has grown stronger. Despite having just 3 paws, he has been showing us his sweet personality and love of adventure. Mac is just 5 lbs but is expected to be a small/medium dog at around 30 lbs when fully grown. He is friendly, affectionate and gentle. Mac is also easily excitable, loving toys and things that crinkle.  As a puppy who is learning about the world around him, and with 3 paws, he may need some extra support as he grows, particularly as he is being potty trained. However, a patient family will be rewarded with an affectionate companion who will go on to lead a normal life once he has learned how to be independent with 3 paws. His adventurous spirit will make him a perfect travel companion! Mac loves kisses and is praise motivated - this little guy wants to please those around him. Mac is a social puppy and enjoys being around people and other pets. He would be a perfect cuddle buddy for a family that is looking for a new side-kick to join their home. Mac will be neutered prior to adoption. At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. Trick was born on September 12, 2023. She is a German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mixed breed puppy, and we expect her to be large as an adult. She and her family were transferred to Path of Hope from SCRAPs (the local animal shelter in Spokane) after Mama Mummy had her puppies in a garage. Trick has an adventurous soul with a great personality. She likes to sneak away from the other puppies and then come racing back into the room. She loves to see the resident big dogs at her foster home and likes to sneak a nap on their bed. She will race over to get picked up so she can snuggle and fall asleep. She initiates play with the other puppies or finds a toy to wrestle. Trick will be eligible for adoption once she’s 8 weeks old, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is beginning crate training. Meet Wynonna Judd! Wynonna Judd is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the "Adoption Fee" section.) Wynonna Judd is a German Shepherd/husky mix pup (best guess) who entered a rescue in Texas with her mom Naomi and her six siblings when she was four weeks old. We estimate that she will grow to be a large dog in the 60 lb. range. A happy, playful, sweet girl, Wynonna Judd has been through several transitions recently in her travels to get to us, but once she is comfortable, she loves giving kisses and being petted and adored. Wynonna Judd is good with kids and with similar size dogs, and she has met cats but isn’t sure what to make of them. Wynonna Judd finds chickens very exciting and interesting and would need to be supervised around them. An energetic, curious pup, she especially enjoys romping around and exploring outside and has adapted well to the PNW winter weather. Wynonna Judd is an athletic pup and will be an excellent workout buddy. She plays with other dogs until she is worn out and takes great naps. Wynonna Judd is still a young puppy and wakes occasionally during the night. Like the musical family she takes her name from, Wynonna Judd can be vocal and wants to converse with you. Wynonna Judd is consistent with her potty training and can spend several hours in her crate alone without any issues. She is learning basic obedience and how to walk on a leash. Wynonna Judd is smart, food and praise motivated, and loves her treats; all these traits will help with her training. Wynonna Judd spends her days romping with her sibling Ashley and getting lots of playtime, love and new adventures with her foster family. Born around November 2022, Crunk is a male Lab mix (best guess). He is a medium/large dog expected to be approximately 50-60 lbs at adult weight. Crunk will do best in a relatively active household where he's able to go for a run or hike regularly. He would benefit from walks 2-3 times per day. While this is not required, he will be the best version of himself if he's allotted a decent amount of daily exercise, at least for the first couple of years while he's a younger, more energetic dog. We are unsure how he would be with cats, but he doesn’t seem to have much of a prey drive. Great with kids and dogs, he would fit well into most families. Crunk will need an owner who can assert calm, strong leadership. Once boundaries are set, he is respectful of them. His infectious smile and affectionate demeanor will instantly put you in a good mood. Ideally, his forever home would include lots of toys so he can play fetch and tug! He would also love a dog friend to wrestle and chase. He does great at dog parks and loves a romp with friends at the dog park. Crunk would prefer to be in a more active household where he can get regular walks, runs, or hikes, but in the absence of that, a fenced in backyard will do as well. He's really good at entertaining himself with a bone or toy. He will sometimes play fetch by himself in the backyard, running around with a ball, throwing it, and chasing after it. Crunk is extremely smart and learns quickly. He already knows many commands, including sit, down, stay, wait, come, although he doesn't always listen in the presence of distractions. He can use more work in this area but is really smart and picks up on things quickly. He's also easily trained with regards to specific house rules you may have, i.e. no dogs on furniture. We encourage anyone looking to learn more about his personality to check out the story highlight titled "Maverick" on his foster home’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tobythecowdog/. Crunk was rescued off of a Reservation here in Washington when he was just a wee pup. He was very skinny and malnourished. He landed himself in a shelter in Spokane and then ended up in a foster home. He was so charming that he got himself adopted by the foster family, along with his sister. Due to a very personal family matter, Crunk and his sister were surrendered to Path of Hope Rescue at 8 months old. Crate trained, potty trained, sleeps all night, and is working on leash training and basic commands.  At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. Born around 3/24/2023, Chillax is a male hound mix (best guess). He is a medium sized pup at 25 lbs and is still growing. With a medium energy level, he will need to play with people and dog friends and walk daily. Good with dogs, kids of all ages, and strangers, this guy will be a perfect family pet.  At just 6 weeks old, this little guy was hit by a car and suffered a fracture in his right front leg. The driver took off, but a good samaritan took him to SCRAPS (a local shelter). After a few weeks of kennel rest, he is healed and ready to find his forever home.  Potty trained and learning some basic commands, Chillax is as smart as they come! Path of Hope Rescue is located and based out of Spokane, WA. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option to your local area for an additional delivery surcharge of $250. Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process.  We will choose the most suitable home for each dog, not the first application received. If the dog you are applying for is adopted, we have hella good matchmakers that will help you find your perfect new four-legged family member. Since the dogs that come up the Path of Hope are rescues, not much is known about them. Therefore breed and adult sizes are our best guesses and we cannot guarantee this information is accurate.  show less

Born around October of 2022, Noodle is a female Dachshund mix (best guess). She is a smaller girl around 30 lbs, with a little baby (milk) weight to lose. Noodle was a much loved member of her original family, but her owner passed away. One of our rescue partners in Washington, Becky’s Best Buddies, reached out to us when they discovered Noodle was pregnant. The day before she came to Path of Hope, mama had her little noodles on 10/1/2023. You can apply for Noodle today, but she won't be able to join your family until her puppies are weaned, and she has her spay surgery. We are still getting to know her personality, but we do know she is super sweet, loves people, and adores attention. Microchipped, vaccinated, will be spayed prior to adoption, potty trained, mostly sleeps through the night, and can be left alone for a few hours; she will be ready for her forever home once her babies are weaned. At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. Meet Salty! Salty is located in a foster home in the Spokane area. Salty is a 2-month old Australian Shepherd male puppy. He was surrendered to SCRAPS (a local animal shelter in Spokane) and transferred to Path of Hope to find his forever family. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option to your local area (see "adoption fees" section below for more details). Salty is new to the rescue, and we are still getting to know his personality. He is young enough to learn to live with other household pets and children. Meet Alvin… Alvin was born around August of 2022. He is a male husky/staffy mix (best guess). Alvin has proven to be good with kids, adults, and dogs. All-in-all, he is a very friendly boy. He has not been tested with cats. This quirky guy is a total social butterfly, wanting to be around his people at all times. He enjoys playing and wrestling with his foster dog siblings, but seems to love people the most! His ideal home would include lots of snuggling, treats for training, and warm cozy places.  Alvin was adopted in the Spring of 2023, but his puppy energy and lack of knowing right from wrong, got the best of him and he was returned to the Rescue. Alvin, needs a strong leader that will help him be a good boy by setting boundaries and continuing his crate training.  He also needs to be provided appropriate chew toys and outlets for the energy that a young dog has. He is a dog that will thrive with an established household routine that includes some daily exercise opportunities. Alvin is adoption ready! He’s vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, sleeps all night, crate trained, and potty trained.  At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes.
