A Ray of Sunshine all year round! Meet Sunglow! Sunglow is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Born in June of 2024, Sunglow is a young, female, Labrador Retriever mix puppy with black and white markings and cute freckles on her legs. One of our Crayola crayon orphans, Sunglow traveled from the Brazoria SPCA in Texas to find a new home in the PNW area. We are currently taking applications for Sunglow, and she will be able to go home with an adopter after her spay surgery. Sunglow is a yellow-orange color that appears warm and cheerful, two traits this little pup shares! Mellow, funny and playful, Sunglow has an endearing and social personality. Sunglow adores the children she has met in her foster home (they give great tummy rubs!) and she gets along well with both the younger and older resident dogs. Affectionate and sweet, lap cuddles are a must for this girl. When she isn’t snuggling, Sunglow is an active girl who loves chewing on bones and stuffies and playing fetch. While Sunglow frequently indulges in zoomies with the younger pup, she is very respectful of the senior dog and his boundaries and adjusts her energy level around him. She has a puppy’s curiosity and loves to explore and check out new things, though reflections of herself are a bit perplexing; silly Sunglow will bark at her doppelgänger when she sees it in windows or the stove glass.   Smart and curious, Sunglow is a quick learner. She is crate trained and sleeps through the night; she is progressing through her potty training and has started leash training. Sunglow loves her food and treats, and with the incentive of a reward, acts quickly on her commands. She is figuring out how to take the stairs in her foster home; apparently, she has had little experience with these before! Sunglow’s ideal home? Maybe it is yours, if you have a home with people she can love who will love her in return, take her for walks and provide her with play adventures, and will continue to teach her the skills that will help her grow into a healthy and happy dog. Children and other dogs would be a plus but not a dealbreaker for this ray of sunshine; all she needs is that one person to shower her with affection and share a life with her. Want to meet Sunglow? He’s the smart Lawrence brother … Meet Matt Lawrence! Matt Lawrence is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).  Matt Lawrence is a charming, golden fawn colored terrier mix puppy with white rear toes and adorable forehead wrinkles which make him look like he is deep in thought. Part of our Lawrence Brothers litter with siblings Joey and Andy, Matt Lawrence traveled from the Brazoria SPCA in Texas to find a new home in the PNW area. We are currently taking applications for Matt Lawrence, and he will be able to go home with an adopter after his neuter surgery on or about October 15, 2024. Matt Lawrence is a bit mellower than his brothers, and he tends to look before he leaps. Always one to join in the romping with other dogs, he will measure how rough the play is before committing to participating. A happy go lucky puppy, he contentedly chews on his toys or bones nearby while his foster works. Sweet, friendly, and affectionate, Matt Lawrence loves being with his humans (adults and children), whether it is cuddling on the couch, going for a walk (loves walks!), or supervising while you work from home.  Born in early July of 2024, Matt Lawrence is a young puppy learning new skills daily. He is progressing well through his crate and potty training and wakes once a night to go out. Curious about the world, Matt Lawrence loves his walks and is quickly picking up good leash manners. He will begin his basic obedience work shortly. In the meantime, Matt Lawrence is spending his days romping, cuddling, and getting lots of playtime, love, and new adventures with his foster family. Matt Lawrence is growing into a healthy, active, affectionate pup ready for his new home.  Matt Lawrence’s ideal home? This sweet pup seeks people to love who will love him in return and ensure he learns the skills that will make him a well-rounded and happy dog. While he would love a dog sibling or children in the home, he would be equally content to be the center of your attention. Plenty of toys and bones to chew would be swell. Walks and little explorations of his new world would help his confidence grow. If this sounds like you, Matt Lawrence is waiting! Want to meet Matt Lawrence? A charmer and those ears … sooo cute! Meet Fern! Fern (an orphan now part of our Crayola litter) is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information in the “Adoption from Path of Hope Rescue” section below). Brave, playful, and curious, Fern is an adorable, black and tan shepherd mix puppy with bright, soulful eyes and the softest fur. And those ears … can we talk about those ears? Her funny ears have a personality all their own and frame her sweet little face. This little girl is just a charmer. We expect Fern to be in the 40-60 lb. range when fully grown. Friendly, athletic, and affectionate, Fern is a medium energy puppy who loves to fetch and enjoys figuring out puzzles and snuffle mats. If there is food involved, you have Fern’s attention! When she isn’t chasing balls or searching for kibble, lovely Fern enjoys playing with other dogs (she knows how to greet other dogs properly) and spending time with her people (adults and children). Fern behaves well with cats, often sleeping on the couch next to the foster’s cat.  She recently had her first outing to a restaurant with outdoor seating. Excited at first with this new adventure, Fern settled in quickly and was the perfect patron, even socializing with another dog and a child. When she isn’t tackling new adventures, Fern enjoys playing on her own or snuggling with you, depending on her mood. She loves a little independence almost as much as giving kisses and cuddling. Smart Fern is a fast learner! She is almost potty trained and figured out how to use the potty bells. Fern knows sit and lay down, and she waits for the ‘ok’ command before eating her food.  Fern likes to roll around on the floor (she can be very silly), so her foster is working on the roll over command with her.  She sleeps through the night, and she is crate trained; she already shows good leash manners. Fern’s ideal home? This sweet natured puppy loves everything and everyone. An active home where she would get plenty of exercise would be delightful (she is game for anything; walks, runs, jumping, fetching, parkour or agility). People to love who love her in return, possibly a dog sibling for romps, lots of fetch games and puzzles, and wonderful snuggles would make her the happiest pup ever. Does this sound like your home? A Pup with a Heart as Warm as California Sunshine Meet Monterey! Monterey is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section.). Monterey journeyed cross country from Texas to our rescue in Spokane.  Born about February 19, 2024, adorable Monterey has tan and black markings, floppy ears, and an athlete’s physique. We guess she is a German Shepherd mix and will possibly be a medium to large adult dog.  Playful and eager, Monterey overflows with personality. She is a sassy, petite gal, currently about 30 lb., and built like a whippet.  She plays well with other canines and listens to cues from her fosters’ older, grumpier dogs.  Monterey has done well with cats and kids, too. While independent and happy to do her own thing most of the time, Monterey jumps at the opportunity to cuddle in bed or on the couch. Or if you crouch down, she will immediately snuggle right up to you in between your legs. An active puppy, Monterey enjoys (with equal gusto) digging, sleeping next to your head, using your pillow, frisbee, all toys, love nibbles, annoying older dogs, water, and car rides. She likes to defy gravity on a regular basis and will hop around or just shoot straight up in the air randomly. Monterey may take a few minutes to release her inner social butterfly with new people (though winning her over with food rapidly speeds up the process), and she will be happy to shower you with kisses.  Monterey is working on her skills. She will spend several hours at a time quietly in her crate, can be left alone, and sleeps through the night. Monterey is potty trained, and she has learned how to use the dog door. She has attended a basic obedience class, and Monterey is eager to please with a treat reward (she’s a smart girl and figured that out quickly). She is also learning how to walk on a leash.  Monterey’s ideal home? Yours, probably! Monterey has a heart as warm as the California sun. She's kind, compassionate, and always ready to shower her family with love and affection. She would love a home with opportunities for walks or fetching in the backyard, toys for playing, and perhaps a dog sibling or a dog-savvy cat. With her puppy exuberance, she would probably do best with kids 5 and older. She would adore people to love who will love her in return and ensure she learns the skills that will make her a well-balanced and happy dog.  Want to meet Monterey? Red Riding Hood would love this boy! Meet Timberwolf! Timberwolf is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Born in April 2024, Timberwolf is an older male Boxer/Labrador Retriever mix puppy. He has chocolate brown and black fur and friendly, almond shaped eyes. One of our Crayola crayon orphans, Timberwolf traveled from the Brazoria SPCA in Texas to find a new home in the PNW area. Affectionate and funny, Timberwolf is a lower energy pup who loves to give kisses and receive pets. He has the whole work life balance thing nailed, alternating play time with napping (sounds like the perfect life!). This sweet little boy loves to cuddle up against a human for his naps or snuggle up on a blanket. He’s ready to hibernate through the winter with his favorite person. Waking refreshed and rejuvenated, he enjoys some relaxing toy nibbling or an explore to satisfy his curiosity. Timberwolf enjoys playing with other dogs, and he takes corrections well from them when his puppy exuberance gets to be too much. He loves everyone and everything he meets; he’s a delightful pup with a wiggly joy he can’t wait to share with you. Timberwolf is a quick study. He is crate trained and almost potty trained, and he sleeps through the night. Timberwolf has started leash training and will begin learning his basic obedience soon. Timberwolf’s ideal home? This easy-going boy would thrive in any home. Some soft blankets for snuggles and dogs to play with would be a bonus, but he’d be content to have you all to himself. Some chill walks and playtime would make him the happiest boy ever. Does this sound like your home? Want to meet Timberwolf? Fill out an inquiry form or visit our website for more information! Scarlet is a young female, mixed breed puppy, with snowy white fur and floppy, golden ears.  She has soulful eyes that can communicate so much! Scarlet, one of our Crayola crayon orphans, traveled from the Brazoria SPCA in Texas to find a new home in the PNW area. We are currently taking applications for Scarlet, and she will be able to go home with an adopter after her spay surgery on or about October 15, 2024. Scarlet is brand new to our rescue and settling into a foster home where she will begin potty, leash, and obedience training. She’s a Heartbreaker, Dream Maker … Meet Pat Benatar! Pat Benatar is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the “Adoption Donation” section.) Born in February of 2024, Pat Benatar is a female puppy from our Rock N Roll litter. DNA results indicate she is a mix of shepherd, husky, and Staffordshire terrier (she definitely has shepherd ears and the typical husky “who, me?”  look and energy). Those oversize ears, sweet face, and cute freckle markings charm everyone around her. We guess that she will be a small adult dog in the 20-40 lb. range. Pat Benatar was adopted from our rescue in May of 2024. Unfortunately, the son of her adopter developed severe dog allergies, and they had to make the difficult choice to return her. Now back in foster with us, Pat Benatar is All Fired Up to find a family to love her.  If this Pat Benatar had a signature song, it would be either We Belong or Never Wanna Leave You. This pup loves being with people; she is energetic, playful, affectionate, and loves to give kisses and snuggle with you on the couch. Like any performer, she relishes your attention. Her foster says this friendly, funny girl looks like she is always smiling. Wrestling and playing with her toys makes Pat Benatar deliriously happy.  Tug of war, squeaker toys, jumping outside, fetch (though she’s still learning to bring the ball back), and daily walks are all high on her list of favorite things to do. Social and curious, Pat Benatar makes friends with kids and dogs and all the people she meets. She did well with cats as a younger puppy but has not been exposed to them since she returned to our rescue. Pat Benatar doesn’t believe Love Is A Battlefield; rather, her mantra would be We Live for Love! Pat Benatar is potty trained and rings the potty bells on the door or stands by it when she needs to go outside. She walks well on her leash but can pull a little when something gets her attention. She spends several hours at a time in her crate, though she would rather be with you.  She knows her basic obedience (and focuses like a laser when treats are involved) and has taken training classes at the Oregon Humane Society. Pat Benatar is a great car traveler; she is very relaxed and lies down on the seat or looks out the window. Her ideal home? Pat Benatar is looking for someone to Treat Me Right, which includes showering her with love and attention and ensuring she learns the skills that will make her a well-rounded and happy dog. A few treats, daily exercise, playing games, and dog siblings or older children who can help her temper her exuberance would be lovely.  Can you make her dreams come true in the end? Want to meet Pat Benatar? Fill out an inquiry form or visit our website for more information! What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Petite Pup, Big Heart Meet Polly Pocket is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). We rescued Polly Pocket and her pups from a Texas Shelter. Now that the babies are weaned, she’s ready to find a new home of her own. “Fur-st Impressions” are important! Schedule a meet and greet with Polly Pocket before applying to see if she is the perfect fit for your family by emailing us at Fur-stImpressions@pathofhoperescue.com.  A completed Adoption Application will be required after the meet and greet to move forward with Polly Pocket’s adoption. This petite pup packs a lot of love! Affectionate and gentle, Polly Pocket (an adult of about 2 years of age) is a smaller dog, trim and athletic, around 40 lbs. Belly rubs, pets, and cuddles are top of this girl’s favorite things list. If you give her the choice of a walk, playing with toys, or cuddling with you, she will pick the cuddles every time (though she is terribly fond of playing with her rope/bone combination toy). While Polly Pocket cherishes the company of her people (adults and children), and her preferred place is where you are, she may take time to reveal her inner social butterfly to strangers. Polly Pocket thoroughly enjoys fetching with her foster siblings, and she plays nicely with the indoor cat (though she will chase the outdoor barn cat). Polly Pocket is heartworm positive and currently receiving treatment for this condition which will require a visit in Spokane, WA once a month. Heartworm can be completely cured and does not affect quality of life in any way. Path of Hope Rescue will provide all medications, care, and education. Polly Pocket has multiple skills; she is fully potty trained, sleeps through the night, and has her basic obedience commands in place (she loves treats and is very food motivated). Polly Pocket has excellent leash manners and enjoys her walks. She is fully crate trained as well. Polly Pocket’s ideal home? Why yours, of course! This delightful, affectionate little girl would thrive in a home with a loving and adoring family who would ensure she learns the skills that will make her a well-rounded and happy dog. Polly Pocket has thrived in the company of other dogs who have shown her how to play (something a mama raising puppies on the street did not have the opportunity to do). Lots of snuggles, healthy food and delicious treats, and perhaps a comfy couch would be wonderful, too.  Adopt Polly Pocket today and add a touch of nostalgia and a whole lot of love to your life. Meet Godiva! Godiva is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue”). “Fur-st Impressions” are very important! Schedule a meet and greet with Godiva before applying to see if she is the perfect fit for your family by emailing us at Fur-stImpressions@pathofhoperescue.com.  A completed Adoption Application will be required after the meet and greet to move forward with Godiva’s adoption. Godiva is an affectionate, medium size (about 40 lbs.), adult female American Staffordshire terrier and Labrador Retriever mix. She has warm, chocolate brown eyes reminiscent of the confection she is named for, floppy ears, and a loving personality. Born in 2020, she is about four years old and came to our rescue from Texas after having a litter of puppies on the streets.   Godiva is heartworm positive and is currently receiving treatment for this condition which will require a visit in Spokane, WA once a month. Heartworm can be completely cured and does not affect quality of life in any way. All medications, care, and education will be provided by Path of Hope Rescue. Goofy, lovable, and cuddly, Godiva loves both playing and snuggling with people. She is eager to please and enjoys training and learning new things. Godiva is good with the cats in her foster home and does best with older children (age 5 and up), and she enjoys romping with the resident dogs as well. Godiva is a lower energy dog who enjoys leisurely walks, playing tug, and cuddling on the couch (she loves having the tips of her ears rubbed when she is snuggled up with you). Even though she is no longer a puppy, she still gets a burst of the puppy zoomies! Godiva can sometimes play the role of the headstrong teenager when told to do something she doesn’t want to do; she has been receiving training to help her handle such situations, and our trainer will work with an adopter so they can reinforce these skills as well. Godiva has many skills under her belt. She is fully crate trained, potty trained, sleeps through the night, and walks well on a leash. Godiva has her basic obedience commands down, and she has good recall skills. She enjoys her training; she appreciates treats and wants to please you. Godiva’s ideal home? Godiva seeks a home with people who will love her and will continue her training to ensure she maintains the skills that make her a happy and well-rounded dog. A soft couch to share with you, treats, training games, toys, and relaxing walks would really sweeten the deal. Does this sound like your home? Godiva is a lovable sweetheart with a few quirks that have benefitted from training.  We will waive the $450 minimum adoption donation for adopters who agree to attend training with one of our Preferred Training Partners to learn how to set her up for success in her new home. What is Path of Hope’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. Let this Wisp lead you to your destiny! Meet Wisp! Wisp is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Wisp was born in Texas on June 11, 2024. In addition to her creamy white and tan coat, Wisp (part of our Brave litter) has the most striking light-colored eyes that seem to peer into your very soul. We believe she is a shepherd mix (mom was a corgi/shepherd mix but nothing is known about dad) who will be a large dog when fully grown.   Wisp is a sweet puppy full of contradictions. She is a confident, curious, take-charge sort of girl who knows what she wants and goes for it, but new things can startle her. An athletic girl, she loves chewing on sticks, climbing over rocks, and having outdoor adventures; she also settles down nicely in her crate for several hours at a time with a toy. She loves romping with the big dogs until they get too rough, then she seeks out the protection of a person. And while she loved her first camping trip complete with hikes through the woods and splashes in the water, she still wants to be picked up and carried like a baby (a twenty-pound baby!). Wisp, though, is all in when it comes to affection, kisses, and being loyal. She is good with cats as well as dogs, and she adores the kids she has met (she really enjoys playing with the foster’s 6- and 8-year-old children). She loves humans and was a very good girl meeting new fellow outdoorspeople and children during her camping trip. She is all wiggles and happiness; she wanted everyone she met to pet her and possibly pick her up. And if they had a stick to offer her, they moved to the top of her new best friends list! A smart pup, Wisp has other skills as well as being an awesome camper. She sleeps through the night in her crate and relaxes well in it during the day. She is progressing well through her potty training, is learning basic obedience, and has good recall skills. She walks very well on her leash, and she was comfortable hiking, splashing in the water, and climbing boulders while wearing it tethered to her human. Wisp’s ideal home? It would have people to love, who will love her in return and ensure she learns the skills that will make her a happy and well-rounded dog. Plenty of toys to play with (and some sticks!), daily walks and other activity opportunities, and lots of attention would be the perfect situation for this darling girl. Perhaps a sibling, either human, canine or feline, too. Does this sound like your home? Want to meet Wisp? Fill out an inquiry form or visit our website for more information! We promise you will not need a witch’s…we mean, wood carver’s, help to bring your furry friend home. What is Path of Hope’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Blue eyes to die for! Meet Acrylic! Acrylic and the other puppies of the Nail Salon litter are being fostered in Spokane, WA, and can be transported to your area (see information below in “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue”). Striking Acrylic is a young female puppy, likely born in late June of 2024. We estimate she will be a medium size dog, in the 40-60 lb. range, when full grown. We think Acrylic is a labrador/Staffordshire terrier mix; she has black and white markings, a mottled nose, and short fur. And her eyes! Acrylic has the most beautiful, stunning blue eyes. She loves to just stare adoringly up at you, always curious about what you are doing or where you are going. Someone passing by found Acrylic and her two siblings abandoned under a bridge, and she traveled to our Washington rescue for a second chance. This little girl balances friendly, snuggly, and sweet with energetic, playful, and clumsy. Acrylic has so much love to give.  She gets so excited whenever she sees you; she loves to tell you what you might have missed. Acrylic has the MOST ADORABLE head tilt when you talk to her, like she understands what you are saying and relishes hearing about your day. She also loves to romp and play, often wiping out in her exuberance and ending up tangled in her own legs. Acrylic has learned the fundamentals of fetch and delights in bringing the ball back to you so she can chase it again. Toys are very important to this girl. She has also taken to the kiddie pool like a duck to water (a great way to cool off in the summer heat). Adventurous and confident, Acrylic enjoys the company of children and dogs (every dog is her new best friend). Brave and curious, this little girl is up for whatever you have planned, whether it is an explore outdoors, some play time inside, or a cuddle on a comfy couch. And if chasing a ball is involved, all the better! Acrylic is learning her skills with the same gusto she brings to playing. She is fully crated trained and is almost potty trained, and she has started leash and obedience training. She catches on to her commands quickly (food always helps to focus her!).  Acrylic’s ideal home? Why, yours! She loves everything and everyone, and she would thrive in a home where she is loved and can love back, gets plenty of activity, and learns the skills that will make her a happy and well-rounded dog. Lots of toys and a dog sibling she can romp with would be delightful! If you are looking to add a loving activity buddy with an outgoing personality to your life, this might be the pup for you! Meet Cuticle! Cuticle and her siblings of the Nail Salon litter are being fostered in Spokane, WA, and can be transported to your area (see information below in “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue”). Born on June 24, 2024, Cuticle is a young, mixed breed female puppy. Her mother is about 28 lbs., so we estimate Cuticle will be a medium size dog when full grown. Cuticle has soft, short tan-brown fur and warm, chocolate eyes that melt your heart. Friendly, goofy, and playful, Cuticle is a spunky and fun-loving girl.  She is confident and thrives with structure and routine. Energetic and strong, Cuticle comes in like a wrecking ball and bulldozes through her siblings to be the first to get some love from you.  Her foster family has nicknamed her puppy shark since she loves to jump and nip at your hands, thinking it’s a game (they are working to teach her that this is not appropriate behavior).  Cuticle enjoys the companionship of the teens and dogs who share their home with her. While she is brave and independent, Cuticle is also sweet, affectionate, and snuggly.  She will lie down and gaze at you with those big brown eyes; it is like she can see into your soul. Cuticle also has the cutest webbed feet; she has the potential to be a great swimmer. Cuticle has just emerged from quarantine in her foster home after she and her siblings were exposed to distemper during their time in rescue out of state. Thankfully, neither she nor her siblings showed signs of the disease, and they are current on their vaccines. She will begin potty, leash, and obedience training shortly; she sleeps through the night and spends several hours at a time in her crate. Her foster family provides her with love, attention, socialization, and exposure to new things; Cuticle is growing into a healthy, active, affectionate pup ready for her new home. Cuticle’s ideal home? Why, yours! She loves everything and everyone, and she would thrive in a home where she is loved and can love back, gets plenty of activity, and learns the skills that will make her a happy and well-rounded dog. She would enjoy an older dog sibling who could teach her the ropes.  Want to meet Cuticle? Fill out an inquiry form or visit our website for more information! What is Path of Hope’s Adoption Process? A fluffy traveler to the PNW! Meet Khonsu! Khonsu (part of our Moon Gods and Goddesses litter) is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section below). Khonsu (means Traveler) is named for the Egyptian god who watched over people on journeys and was responsible for the phases of the moon. This traveler came to us from Texas to begin a new life in the PNW. Khonsu is an adorable, fluffy male pup, an Australian Shepherd/miniature American Shepherd mix (according to DNA results) with plush ears and gorgeous coloration who is expected to be a medium size adult dog.  Sweet and curious, Khonsu is a young puppy (born May 28, 2024) learning about the big world around him and what life is like outside a shelter kennel. New places can be both exciting and daunting after that existence. Friendly and playful, Khonsu finds the outdoors to be magical; he adores playing in the grass, chasing his ball, searching for treats, and romping in the yard at his foster home. He was quick to make friends with other dogs, and he finds extra courage in the company of his sister. His foster and the kids in the home provide him with socialization opportunities and new exposures. He will grow in confidence as he gains more experiences in and outside his home. Khonsu can be a little slow to reveal his inner social butterfly, but when he does, he cannot get enough belly rubs and cuddles from you. Khonsu is progressing well in his potty training, and he can spend several hours at a time in his crate (though, like most puppies, he would rather be with you!). He is learning to walk on his leash, and with his love of treats, he has quickly picked up his basic obedience commands when motivated by a reward. Khonsu’s ideal home? It might be yours. Khonsu seeks a home with people to love who will love him in return. Someone to explore the world by his side and ensure he learns the skills that will make him a happy and well-rounded dog. Outdoor playtime and couch cuddles would be lovely. Khonsu would see kids and dogs and company during the day as bonuses. Are you ready to travel through life with Khonsu? Want to meet Khonsu? A sweet and gentle little boy! Meet Mani! Mani and his siblings of the Nail Salon litter are being fostered in Spokane, WA, and can be transported to your area (see information below in “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue”). Born on June 24, 2024, Mani is a young, mixed breed male puppy. We think he might be a labrador mix with some possible border collie.  Mani has short black fur, white chest and toes markings, a cute little paint stripe on his back, and warm, chocolate eyes that melt your heart. His mother is about 28 lbs., so we estimate Mani will be a medium size dog when full grown. Mani is the sweetest, most gentle soul. This little guy is full of love and puppy kisses.  He snuggles right into your neck when you pick him up and gives you the cutest little kisses on your cheeks.  He is quiet, goes into his crate well, naps well, and only barks when it is necessary.  A lower energy puppy, Mani is content to just be near you. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, and he delights in the attention of the teens there. Mani has just emerged from quarantine in his foster home after he and his siblings were exposed to distemper during their time in rescue out of state. Sweet, snuggly, and social – the perfect pup! Meet Gel! Gel and the other puppies of the Nail Salon litter are being fostered in Spokane, WA, and can be transported to your area (see information below in “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue”). Someone passing by found Gel and her two siblings abandoned under a bridge, and she traveled to our Washington rescue for a second chance. Born likely in late June 20204, Gel is a young female puppy. We estimate she will be a medium size dog, in the 40-60 lb. range, when full grown. We think Gel is a labrador/Staffordshire terrier mix; she is mostly black/brown with white patches and ears that flop when she moves. Gel, a medium energy pup, likes to look before she leaps. She wants to know what everyone is doing, and she sizes up the play (and its level of roughness) before jumping into the scrum with her more active siblings. Gel is bright, funny, and inquisitive, and she delights in watching her people; she finds the world around her quite fascinating. Loving and affectionate, she is quick to ask for snuggles and kisses. When the siblings are actively engaged in puppy rambunctiousness, Gel is content to chew on her bone and view the chaos from a comfy spot. She likes playing with her toys almost as much as she loves giving kisses. Gel plays well with other dogs and enjoys the company (and attention) of the teens in her foster home. Gel has just emerged from quarantine in her foster home after she and her siblings were exposed to distemper during their time in rescue out of state. Thankfully, neither she nor her siblings showed signs of the disease, and they are current on their vaccines. Playful, funny, and sweet, Shellac is an adorable pup who will be a delightful addition to any home. She loves to run and play (toys are a huge favorite for this little girl) and chasing after balls is at the top of her list of ways to spend time with her people. Shellac is often the first of the five puppies to fall asleep. She has learned to go into her crate as soon as the food bowls come out, and Shellac sleeps all night in a puppy pile with her sisters. A “shining light” to brighten your life! Meet Queen Elinor! Queen Elinor is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Regal yet devoted and friendly, Queen Elinor (shining light in Gaelic) is a black coated shepherd/corgi mix (best guess) and a medium size dog, currently weighing about 33 pounds. At two years of age, she is fully grown. Queen Elinor is a shining light; with her gentle, warm, and loving chocolate brown eyes and affectionate, gentle nature, she will illuminate your life.  Queen Elinor is heartworm positive and is currently receiving treatment for this condition which will require a visit in Spokane, WA once a month. Heartworm can be completely cured and does not affect quality of life in any way. All medications, care, and education will be provided by Path of Hope Rescue. A loving mother to her pups of the Brave litter, Queen Elinor is an affectionate, gentle, and loyal dog to her people. Now that her pups are off to fosters of their own, she enjoys attention time and getting to be a young dog with no motherly duties. Queen Elinor is a playful dog of medium energy; she’s equally happy to run in the yard or cuddle on your lap receiving belly rubs. She delights in the company of children and is very gentle with them. Queen Elinor has no interest in the cats in the home, and she is learning how to live with a pack of dogs and might enjoy a dog sibling. She loves the outdoors, and she would make an awesome walking buddy.  Queen Elinor has many skills already. She is potty trained, sleeps through the night, and walks well on a leash. She understands her basic obedience commands such as sit, off, and gentle with a reward; she is smart and learns quickly. Queen Elinor is food and praise motivated, and she delights in making you proud of her. She is crate training, but she would much rather be with you, snuggled up on the couch.  Queen Elinor’s ideal home? You don’t need a castle to make this pup feel at home; she’s looking for people to love and to love her in return. Throw in some outdoor adventures and a soft place to cuddle, and you have made her dreams come true.  Want to meet Queen Elinor? About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Twister

Male Puppy Miniature Schnauzer Cairn Terrier (mixed) Small

This little pup will blow you away! Meet Twister! Twister (an orphan now part of our Crayola litter) is in a foster home in Spokane, WA... show more

This little pup will blow you away! Meet Twister! Twister (an orphan now part of our Crayola litter) is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information in the “Adoption from Path of Hope Rescue” section below).  Twister is a charming, black mixed breed puppy with white markings, wiry fur, and a goofy, endearing smile. We expect Twister to be a smaller adult dog in the under 20 lbs. range. We are accepting applications now for Twister, and he will be available to go to his new home once he has been neutered.  Spunky, happy, and affectionate, Twister has a big personality for such a tiny dog. He can be a little bundle of energy … for a few minutes, then he wears himself out and needs to nap. Twister loves napping, and he isn’t picky about the location; his crate, a dog bed, your lap, the floor, out in the sunshine or on your lap are all ideal locations for this little guy to crash out, usually on his back with his belly pointing skyward. In between naps, Twister loves the attention of people and gives high quality puppy snuggles. Friendly and social, he plays well with kids and other dogs (he has not been cat tested yet), and he enjoys his plushies, chew toys, and running around outside with the other dog in his foster home. While Twister may be a small pup, he is independent and content to play or sleep in his crate when his people are out of sight.   In addition to being crate trained, Twister is working on potty training (almost there!) and sleeps through the night. He is learning nice leash manners, and he will start obedience training shortly. Twister is not overly food motivated, but he does adore peanut butter.  Twister’s ideal home?  While this little guy can have energetic moments, he wears himself out playing and would not require an overly active home. Twister would love a family where he could have cuddle time, nap time, play time, and people who want to spend quality time with him and share his puppy snuggles. Sound like your home?
