Candy Corn is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option to your local area (see "adoption fees" section below for more details). Candy Corn was born on September 12, 2023. He is a German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mixed breed puppy, and we expect him to be large as an adult. He and his family were transferred to Path of Hope from SCRAPs (the local animal shelter in Spokane) after Mama Mummy had her puppies in a garage. Candy Corn is the leader of the pack. He joins in puppy play and trying to get the older dogs to play with him. He is independent and will go sleep by himself at times. He is outgoing and loves to be picked up and cuddled by anyone! He would do great in a family with children. Candy Corn will be eligible for adoption once he’s 8 weeks old, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is beginning crate training. He is good with children, dogs, and cats. At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We are 100% foster based and rely on volunteers and fosters to help in our mission. Our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Adoption fee: $450-$550. Path of Hope Rescue is located and based out of Spokane, WA. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option to your local area for an additional delivery surcharge of $250. Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. We will choose the most suitable home for each dog, not the first application received. If the dog you are applying for is adopted, we have hella good matchmakers that will help you find your perfect new four-legged family member. Since the dogs that come up the Path of Hope are rescues, not much is known about them. Therefore breed and adult sizes are our best guesses and we cannot guarantee this information is accurate. show less

Born in mid July, Karen Arnold is a Pittie/Boston Terrier Mix (based on sibling DNA). She is a medium sized puppy, weighing 11 lbs and is expected to be around 45 lbs when fully grown. Good with kids, dogs, and cats, this girl would be a great addition to any household. With her puppy energy, she will need daily enrichment, activity, and training to help her be the best girl possible. This little lady came to PHR via SCRAPS with her Mama and siblings after being dumped in Spokane Valley. Like her siblings, she initially tested positive for Parvo but has been recovering well, leading a playful puppy life, getting ready to join her furever family. While in foster care, Karen has proven to be energetic, cute, and snuggly. She’s a talkative girl who loves to play and adores hugs.   Adoption ready: microchipped, vaccinated, spayed, working on crate training, is doing great at potty training, and sleeps most of the night.  At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. Born around June of 2022, MewTwo is a collie/lab mix (best guess). She is a medium sized dog, fully grown. She loves playing with other dogs and once she gets to know them, loves hanging out with humans too. MewTwo would best thrive in a cat-free environment. She is a high energy dog who will enjoy daily walks and regular play sessions. MewTwo came to us from SCRAPS, a local rescue and was previously adopted. However, Mewtwo was returned to us after her adoptive family realized that Mewtwo did not get along with their cats. In that environment, Mewtwo became reactive and nervous. Mewtwo has since been living in a cat-free environment where she has flourished.  MewTwo is a very affectionate lady who loves food, toys and praise. You will often find her ready to give kisses to the humans or bowl over with a toy in our mouth. MewTwo can be nervous around new people, as can often be the case with some rescue pups, but she has been working hard on this. While she can react quickly in new situations, she soon settles down. With patience and support from a calm and loving family, MewTwo can build her confidence and learn how to react in new situations.  MewTwo has a playful and funny personality. As well as being a household entertainer with her comedic acts, she will shower you with love and kisses. She is food motivated and will be your BFF if she can get a treat - which will make ongoing training so much easier. A cat-free family that can support MewTwo’s ongoing training will be rewarded with so much love! Spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, sleeps through the night, can be left alone, food motivated, working on her leash training. At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. Shook is located in a foster home in the Spokane area. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option to your local area (see "adoption fees" section below for more details). Shook is new to the rescue, and we are still getting to know his personality. He is young enough to learn to live with other household pets and children. As a young puppy, he will need the attention and training that all puppies need to grow up to be a well-balanced dog. Born on 5/20/2022, Kimi Finster is a female Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull, Cattle dog mix (based on sibling DNA result). She is a medium dog weighing about 40 lbs, fully grown. Good with older kids, cats, bunnies, and dogs, she would be a great pocket pittie addition to any pack. Kimi Finster LOVES water. She loves to spend the day bouncing around in a sprinkler or with a hose. Her ideal home would have another dog as she is more confident with other pups around. She also enjoys chasing her foster dogs siblings around and playing tug of war. Ideally, she would have a home that would allow her on the couch and let her sleep in bed with her humans but is fully crate trained. She would also love to have a human to play fetch with.   Kimi Finster was previously adopted but returned to us due to the adoptive family’s lack of patience and not understanding communication signals from her. Kimi was afraid of loud noises and had begun to get progressively more nervous of her adoptive family, hiding in her crate, and exhibiting anxious behavior. Kimi has since been with a foster family where she has been growing in confidence and showing her sweet personality. Although she still does not like loud noises, she doesn’t let that get to her. She is thriving in her foster home, and we expect her to thrive in her future adoptive home. Spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, 100% crate trained, potty trained, does well on a leash, sleeps through the night, and can be left alone. Even though she is not very treat-motivated, she picks up on things quickly. Shy at first and a little jumpy, she quickly warms up to new people.  At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. Born around May of 2023, A-Game is a female bulldog/staffy mix (best guess). She is a medium puppy currently about 25 lbs. Good with cats, kids, and dogs. Her ideal human would be male (she loves the men). As a medium to high energy dog, she will need daily activity and enrichment to help her be the best dog she can be. How can you not love this grumpy little face?! Her current favorite game is stealing items from the house and stashing them in the yard. Uninterested in dog toys, this very smart girl will need a creative human to keep her busy. She arrived in Spokane, WA via Dog is My Copilot, after being at risk of euthanasia at a shelter in Texas. We believe Aggie was a street dog down in Texas and is new to being in a home, so she is still getting used to being in a home and being loved.  Adoption ready: she is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, sleeps all night, crate trained, and is working on potty training.  At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. Despite this tough start to parenting, Mama Winnie has been great to her little ones and is ready to be spoiled in her own home. Born in December of 2020, Manchester (aka Manny) is a male Shepherd mix (best guess). He is a large dog at about 65 lbs, fully grown. He is a medium-high energy dog that will need plenty of activity and enrichment. Good with other dogs, strangers, and teenagers. This pup loves car rides, toys, and playing ball. In fact, if you throw a ball for him, he will be your best friend for life. Ideally, his new home would have another dog or an active person to keep him moving.  He bonds fiercely to his human and trusts a strong leader who will take care of anything. His natural protection instinct (without the uncontrollable impulses) makes him an ideal dog for a strong female leader who wants to feel protected in the world. His new owner will be rewarded with one of the most loyal dogs ever.  This kid was rescued from an extreme hoarding situation in Houston at 4 weeks of age. Volunteers from Path of Hope Rescue drove from Spokane to Texas and back to get him to safety. His brother, Sheffield, was lost due to the horrific conditions in which they were raised. Manny was adopted as a puppy but developed a bad habit of inappropriately using his growl to communicate his dislikes. It was deemed that he was in the wrong household for him, and joined “boot camp” to learn some better behaviors. He is a smart boy and has quickly learned that it is OK to tell humans when he is uncomfortable and how to do it, so he can thrive as his best, playful self. In his new home, he will need to continue to work on being a good boy and needs a strong leader to show him the way. Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, fully potty trained, walks perfectly on a leash, sleeps all night, and can be left alone, he is a reformed dog! He can be crated but does not need to be. Not being very food motivated, an alternate training method will be necessary. At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. Born in mid July, Becky is a black mouth cur (best guess). She is a medium sized puppy and is expected to be around 45 lbs when fully grown. She will likely be medium energy and require daily walks as she grows.  This little lady came to PHR via SCRAPS (a local shelter) with her Mama and siblings after being dumped in Spokane Valley. Like her siblings, she initially tested positive for Parvo but has been recovering well, leading a playful puppy life, getting ready to join her furever family. While in foster care, Becky has shown that she has a sweet and playful nature, enjoying affection with frequent cuddles. She has been described as friendly and affectionate so will be a loving companion for her furever family. Therefore breed and adult sizes are our best guesses and we cannot guarantee this information is accurate.  show less

Born around October of 2022, Spinach is a male Blue Lacy (per former owner). He is a medium sized pup at about 30 lbs, not fully grown. Good with other dogs, strangers, and older kids, he would fit well into a family. This pup is a sweet, shy boy who will need some patience and time to get comfortable. He warms up fairly quickly and will be your best little friend. His ideal home would have another, older dog to help his confidence and teach him the ropes. Spinach’s favorite activities include giving kisses and playing ball! Spinach and his relatives came to Path of Hope Rescue from the local shelter, SCRAPS, after being surrendered by his owners. His parents were siblings and had a few litters of pups. When things got a little out of control, the owners were overwhelmed by the situation they found themselves in.
