Lovely Lola is waiting to meet you! Meet Lola! Lola is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Looking for a new friend to share your life? Check out lovely Lola! Lola is that rarity in rescue; she is an adult purebred Doberman Pinscher. We rescued her from Texas, along with her nine puppies (our Looney Tunes litter). Elegant Lola is a leggy adult dog with the classic Doberman black and rust coloring; she’s about 60 pounds with a docked tail and cropped ears (though her ears were not properly posted).  Lola displays the typical Doberman Pinscher personality traits; she is smart and quick to learn, athletic (she really, really loves playing ball), and affectionate with and protective of her people. Loyal and dignified, she believes her place is by your side, and she enjoys joining you for outdoor walks (the cold, not so much, so a warm sweater is much appreciated!). Lola quickly made friends with the resident Doberman Pinscher and would do well with well-balanced dogs. After playing, Lola delights in a good nap and some snuggling time. She is friendly with kids and enjoys games with the children in her foster home. Since Lola is a tall dog (who doesn’t always know where she is in space and can be endearingly klutzy), she probably will do best with kids age 5 and up. A suitable home for Lola would not include cats.   Lola is smart and eager to learn, and she really wants to earn your praise. Her entire body lights up when you let her know she was done well. Lola quickly picked up her basic obedience commands, and she is crate trained as well as potty trained. She walks well on her leash and sleeps through the night. A chill girl, smart as a whip, she is ready to work for her new family. She would thrive with a regular activity routine (such as a daily walk; she’s an ideal hiking buddy) and puzzles, fetch or other activities throughout the day to keep her brain engaged. Lola’s ideal home? Lola is seeking someone to love who will love her in return, provide her with some structure, and present her with opportunities that mesh well with her working dog personality. An active household would be great; a smart girl like her might get bored in a couch potato existence. Since this medium energy girl loves to play fetch, a fenced yard would be a bonus (and a great way to exercise her physically and mentally). She would do well with kids older than 5 and other well-balanced dogs. If you are looking for a rare girl with love to spare, make Lola’s dreams come true and adopt this best friend forever. ADOPTION PENDING! This dog is matched with a potential adopter and is not currently available. However, you’re welcome to apply! While the chances of being matched with this dog are low, your application helps us get to know you and find the perfect dog for your family. Sweet, cuddly and chill! Meet Ellie! Ellie is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). A terrier mix, Ellie has short, golden-brown fur and mottled markings on her legs, and we estimate she will be a medium size dog when grown. Part of the Ice Age litter, she traveled with her mom and siblings from a shelter in Texas to find a new home in the PNW area. Like her namesake in the Ice Age movies, Ellie is affectionate and loyal to those she loves, traits she will bring with her to her new family. We are currently taking applications for Ellie, and she will be able to go home with an adopter after her spay surgery in mid-February, 2025. Darling Ellie is a laid-back girl who knows her priorities. One, cuddling with people. She would be perfectly content spending all day in your lap. Two, Snuggling in a soft blanket (I mean, who doesn’t enjoy that in these Spokane winters?).  Three, having her belly rubbed and giving kisses. Affectionate Ellie wants to lavish her love on you. And four, playing a game or with a toy. While her siblings will carom around like billiard balls, funny and gentle Ellie prefers a quiet perch above the fray where she can watch. And she is so hard to resist! She looks up at you longingly with her lovely doe eyes, and before you know it, you have set aside your work to cuddle with this darling girl. Born on December 12, 2024, Ellie is a young puppy who still sleeps in a pen with her siblings, but she has already started potty training. She will begin crate, leash, and obedience training shortly. In the meantime, Ellie is spending her days romping, cuddling, and getting lots of playtime, love, and new adventures with her foster family and growing into a healthy, active, affectionate pup ready for her new home. Ellie’s ideal home? Maybe it is yours! Ellie seeks people to love who will love her in return and make sure she learns the skills to make her a happy and well-rounded puppy. Other dogs, kids or cats would be welcome, too. If you have love to give, warm blankets, and enjoy relaxing walks, Ellie might be your perfect match! Want to meet Ellie? Tweety Bird

ADOPTION PENDING! This dog is matched with a potential adopter and is not currently available. However, you’re welcome to apply! While the chances of being matched with this dog are low, your application helps us get to know you and find the perfect dog for your family. Meet Tweety Bird! Tweety Bird is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Born on November 6, 2024, goofy Tweety Bird is that rarity in rescue. He’s a purebred! DNA testing on his sibling shows they are 100% Doberman pinscher. Tweety Bird displays the rust and red Doberman coloring, and we estimate he will be a large dog when grown (mama is around 60 pounds). His ears have not been cropped; his floppy ears frame his face and are really adorable. Part of our Looney Tunes litter, Tweety Bird traveled with his mom and eight siblings from a shelter in Devine, Texas to find a new home in the PNW area. While the cartoon character he is named for can be, well, a bit mean and terrorizes poor Slyvester the Cat, our Tweety Bird is lovable, affectionate, and playful. He is quite content to sprawl next to you, upside down, while you relax. And he wholeheartedly believes people make the best dog beds! While he has cuddling down to an art, Tweety also likes to play and romp. Playmates such as children or other dogs are always welcome; this social boy enjoys company of all sorts. He definitely has the smarts for which Dobermans are known. He loves puppy puzzles, quickly figuring out his first one. His lick mat is also a big hit with Tweety, though he feels it should be more of a bite mat (more efficient way to get the treat off of it!). One of his favorite toys holds a bully stick, and he is quite fond of it, carrying it around the house seeking a nice patch of warm sun where he can settle in for a relaxing chew. After getting in his play time, snuggling (hopefully with a person) is next on Tweety’s agenda. Tweety Bird is picking up his skills quickly. He will spend several hours in his crate, and he is progressing well through his potty training. Tweety has figured out how to come indoors using the doggie door and is working on using it to go outside. He will begin leash and obedience training shortly. Tweety Bird had an infection in his paw that caused some pain and swelling in his leg; he responded well to the medication and has recovered nicely. Tweety Bird’s ideal home? It could be yours! This adorable pup seeks a home with people to love who will love him in return and ensure he learns the skills that will make him a happy and well-rounded dog. Being a Doberman, he will thrive on an active lifestyle and enjoys puzzles or other activities to keep him mentally engaged, too. Cuddles and snuggles, as well as fun chew toys, are a must for this sweet, affectionate boy. Other dogs and kids would be icing on the cake for him. If this sounds like your home, what are you waiting for? Find out how to adopt Tweety Bird today! Want to meet Tweety Bird? Fill out an inquiry form or visit our website for more information! ADOPTION PENDING! This dog is matched with a potential adopter and is not currently available. However, you’re welcome to apply! While the chances of being matched with this dog are low, your application helps us get to know you and find the perfect dog for your family. A Pup Who Knows What She Wants! Meet Audrey Griswold! Audrey Griswold is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).  Born on October 14, 2024, sweet Audrey Griswold is a young, mottled gold and brown colored puppy (almost brindle on her face) with lighter toes. She is an Australian Kelpie mix, and we estimate she will be a medium size dog when grown.  Audrey Griswold is part of the Christmas Vacation litter, and she traveled with her mom and seven siblings from the Bi-Stone Rescue in Mexia, Texas to find new homes in the PNW area.  Funny, friendly, and curious, Audrey Griswold knows what she wants in life – to be with you! She is a very sweet girl who loves being snuggled up next to her people.  A medium energy puppy, Audrey Griswold loves dogs and people, and she behaves well with even very young children (under 5). Her next favorite thing is playing with all the dogs in her foster home. Audrey Griswold hasn’t met a toy or a game that she doesn’t like. Once she has had her fill of playtime, she adores curling up on the fluffy dog bed in front of the fireplace or snuggling up with you. What could be better? Audrey Griswold is a little puzzled by the snow and rain; she’s not sure at first if she wants to go out in it, but once she does, she’s ready to romp outside and play.  Audrey Griswold is a smart girl who picks up training quickly. She sleeps through the night and is almost potty trained. She has started crate training and is learned to walk on a leash. Audrey has her basic obedience commands done with a treat incentive. Audrey Griswold’s idea home? She seeks someone to love who will love her in return, who will ensure she learns the skills that will make her a happy and well-rounded dog. Audrey would love an active home where she could get lots of play time, adventures and, of course, plenty of attention. Friends of the dog and kid kind would be a bonus for this social girl. Treats and games and warm blankets would be wonderful, too. Does this sound like your home?  Want to meet Audrey Griswold? Fill out an inquiry form or visit our website for more information! Born on May 23, 2023, Ethel is a female German Shepherd mix. She is a medium sized puppy, expected to be around 40 lbs when fully grown. She is a playful pup that looks like she will be medium energy, and will enjoy living with an active family who can give her daily walks. As she is so teeny, we’re still getting to know her personality but so far we can see that Ethel is a sweet girl with an outgoing personality. She is also very inquisitive so will be a great adventure buddy. Ethel is part of the Timeless litter, coming to Path of Hope by way of our new foster sharing program with SCRAPS. Ethel and her siblings are still with their mom, Mabel, but she is now ready to find her very own furever home. At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We are 100% foster based and rely on volunteers and fosters to help in our mission. Our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Adoption fee: $450-$550. Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. Please do not send inquiries through Petfinder. We will choose the most suitable home for each dog, not the first application received. If the dog you are applying for is adopted, we have hella good matchmakers that will help you find your perfect new four-legged family member. Since the dogs that come up the Path of Hope are rescues, not much is known about them. Therefore breed and adult sizes are our best guesses and we cannot guarantee this information is accurate.  Path of Hope Rescue is located and based out of Spokane, WA. Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option to your local area for an additional delivery surcharge of $250. show less

ADOPTION PENDING! This dog is matched with a potential adopter and is not currently available. However, you’re welcome to apply! While the chances of being matched with this dog are low, your application helps us get to know you and find the perfect dog for your family. A girl who knows her own mind! Meet Babs! Babs is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Born on November 6, 2024, sweet Babs is a young Doberman Pinscher mix puppy and part of our Looney Tunes litter. She has the classic black and rust Doberman coloring, and we estimate she will be a large dog when full grown. And those ears? Her ears are floppy, funny, and frame her face in the sweetest way. Babs traveled with her mom and eight siblings from a shelter in Devine, Texas to find a new home in the PNW area. Funny little Babs gets her name from a bunny character in the Looney Tunes universe. Like her namesake, she is cheerful, lovable, and irrepressible. This affectionate, loyal little girl knows her own mind and what she wants. Babs loves to be with her people; cuddling is tops on her list of things to do. She also enjoys giving kisses and being held like a baby (hard to resist doing this because she is so cute!). Babs is an active puppy who thrives on mental and physical activity, and it delights her when you join in with the antics. Though still young, she prefers playing to napping, and the kids and other dogs in her foster home are great companions for romps and explores.  Babs relishes puzzles, treat balls, and games that challenge her. Running around outside gives her much joy, and she has yet to meet a stick or leaf she didn’t enjoy playing with. Like many short haired dogs, Babs is not very fond of the cold; she would appreciate some stylish outerwear for the cold and wet season. After playing, she is content to snuggle in your lap while she recharges. Babs is picking up new skills and has started crate training (she would rather be with you, but she’s settling into it), and she has begun potty and leash training. Babs will start obedience shortly; with her smarts and intense love for food, she should pick it up quickly. Babs’ ideal home? It might be yours! Babs seeks a home with people to love who will adore her and see that she gets the physical and mental activity she needs to be a happy, well-rounded pup. Games, toys, food, and people to cuddle would be high on her wish list, along with opportunities to explore and play outdoors (and a dog coat, if the weather is cold). A friendly pup, she will thrive in a home with dogs, cats, and children. If you are looking for that loving, sweet, funny, pup who will be both a workout buddy and lap warmer, she’s the pup for you! More than meets the eye! Meet Squawkbox! Squawkbox is in a foster home in Spokane, WA. Because “Fur-st Impressions” are very important for an adult dog, schedule a meet and greet with Squawkbox before applying to see if he is the perfect fit for your family by emailing us at Fur-stImpressions@pathofhoperescue.com.  A completed Adoption Application will be required after the meet and greet to move forward with Squawkbox’s adoption.  Like his toy namesake, our Squawkbox is a combination of things that unite together. He’s 50% labrador retriever, with the other 50% a mix of chihuahua, miniature pinscher, and American Pit Bull. Athletic and cuddly, Squawkbox blends the best of all dog personalities into one. This loyal pup wants to be with his people, and he is content to be by your side snuggling, running errands, working in the yard, jogging along as you ride a bike, hiking (he does very well off leash), or keeping you company as you work from home. He loves to play; fetch and frisbee are among his favorite games. Squawkbox may take his name from a Decepticon in the Transformers lore, but this goofy, charming pup is one of the good guys. Always delighted to see you, his affectionate nature and genuine interest in what you are doing will bring a smile to your face. Friendly and affectionate, Squawkbox does well with children (including babies!), cats, and other dogs. His foster home serves as the intake center for our rescue, and Squawkbox is the official greeter for new arrivals. His playful antics help put the newbies at ease and get them running and exploring their new environment. Just like the Transformers, there’s more to this dog than meets the eye! Squawkbox has had extensive obedience training (courtesy of one of his fosters, Courtney of Courtney’s Canine College), and this smart boy has all the skills: come, sit, stay, down, shake, spin, speak, whisper, dance, and place. He is crate and potty trained; his heel and leash walking are on point (he is a joy to walk) and his recall is exemplary. Squawkbox may be the best trained dog we have had in the rescue. He loves to work and enjoys training; it is a fun game for him. Squawkbox is even trained to walk on a treadmill! While he has learned all these skills quickly, we’ve discovered Squawkbox has some innate ones as well. He loves to swim, and he recently tagged along on a hunting trip. Squawkbox was not gunshy, showing no reaction to weapon fire and scanning the sky like he’d been doing this all his life. He eagerly swam out to retrieve the training decoy, ignoring the others set out. Squawkbox will be tested with live ducks soon, and we will share that update. Squawkbox’s ideal home? If you are looking for an active pup to join in your adventures, a possible duck hunting companion, or someone loyal who always has your back, Squawkbox might be the dog for you! He seeks an active family, where he would get lots of fetch games, walks, cuddles, and love. Kids and dog-savvy cats would be great, and dog siblings would be lovely for this social pup. He would thrive with an adopter willing to continue and reinforce his training to ensure he has the skills that will make him a well-rounded dog. Squawkbox has his eye on a home where he can let his goofy, playful, exuberant, and confident nature shine and embrace his people with all his heart. Is it yours? Squawkbox is a lovable sweetheart requiring a local adopter who agrees to attend training with him and our amazing partner, Courtney’s Canine College, to help with his quirks (and to make the most of those skills he has!). We know that quality training can be a costly investment, so to help alleviate that cost, we are waiving our normal $450 minimum adoption donation so you can put that towards training instead. Squawkbox has been available for months, and potential adopters often have concerns about adult rescue dogs having behavior issues or being poorly socialized. We want to be completely transparent; Squawkbox was returned for some very concerning behavior from his first family.  But the best part about dogs is that they can learn new skills and Squawkbox is a perfect example of this. Squawk has been professionally rehabilitated by our trainer and has left his old life of fear behind!  He is now the happy-go-lucky pup that he was always meant to be. This is why we are waiving his adoption fee in lieu of training.  We want to make sure that we set him (and you) up for success!   We understand this may be a concern, and that is why we assign every applicant their own personal Matchmaker who will share Squawkbox's entire history with transparency and ensure this dog is right for your family. ADOPTION PENDING! This dog is matched with a potential adopter and is not currently available. However, you’re welcome to apply! While the chances of being matched with this dog are low, your application helps us get to know you and find the perfect dog for your family. Sweet and Snuggly! Meet Feyre Archeron! Feyre Archeron is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Feyre Archeron has soft, fawn colored fur and striking light-colored eyes. DNA test results on her sibling indicate she is American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, and a blend of other breeds including German Shepherd, Chow Chow, and Weimaraner. Feyre Archeron just might be a little of everything, and we estimate she will be a medium size dog when grown.  Feyre Archeron and her eight siblings (Court of Dreams litter) were discovered in a cardboard box, turned in to a Texas shelter, and slated for euthanasia. We were able to save them all (thank you, fosters!) and transport them here to find new homes in the PNW area. Sweet, gentle, and affectionate, Feyre Archeron’s most favorite thing is to be warm and get cuddles. Spending the day on the couch with you is her idea of perfection. An easy puppy to have around, Feyre Archeron entertains herself with chew toys and loves any game that results in treats. If she has a toy she is particularly fond of, she will take it to her crate to play with later. Feyre Archeron has made friends with the resident dog in her new foster home, and she enjoys playing with him and having a companion. This curious girl finds everything you are doing noteworthy, even if it is just relaxing with a book or working from home. Funny and friendly, Feyre Archeron enjoys adventures (she found an outing to see a large holiday light display fascinating), walks, and meeting new people. Once she lets loose her social butterfly nature, she showers people with kisses and snuggles (personal space is an alien concept to her).  Feyre Archeron will play, wear herself out, then be perfectly happy snuggled up in your lap for as long as you will let her. Born in mid-July, Feyre Archeron is working on her skills. She is potty trained, she walks well on her leash, and she knows her basic obedience commands with a treat incentive. She has been learning heel, sit, down, touch, and place (food rewards really focuses her). Feyre Archeron already has good recall skills and comes when called, and she does well in her crate for several hours at a time (especially if she has a favorite toy). Feyre Archeron’s ideal home? She seeks someone to love who will love her in return, and who will ensure she learns the skills that will make her a happy and well-rounded dog. Feyre Archeron enjoys company, so a home with kids, dogs, and dog savvy cats would suit her. Treats and games and warm blankets would be wonderful, too, and she’d be delighted to spend hours hanging out with you. Does this sound like your home? Want to meet Feyre Archeron? Make room for The Morrigan! Meet The Morrigan! The Morrigan is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). The Morrigan is a mixed breed puppy with creamy, fawn colored fur and warm, chocolate eyes. We estimate she will be a medium size dog when full grown. DNA test results on her sibling indicate she is American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, and a blend of other breeds including German Shepherd, Chow Chow, and Weimaraner. The Morrigan just might be a little of everything! Part of our Court of Dreams litter, The Morrigan and her eight siblings were discovered in a cardboard box, turned in to a Texas shelter, and slated for euthanasia. We were able to save them all (thank you, fosters!) and transport them here to find new homes in the PNW. Like her literary counterpart, our Morrigan is kind and friendly, and she is eager to find a family who will love her as much as she will love them. Affectionate and playful, The Morrigan has quickly settled into her foster home and enthusiastically joined a pack of canines, cats, and people. This friendly girl gets along well with all of them. Curious about the world around her, she delights in playing outdoors with the resident dogs. This pup has figured out how to use her large legs for jumping and playing, and she delights in keeping up with the other members of her pack in their romps. After some running around, The Morrigan indulges in some zucchini and cuddles on the couch.  She has a very calm demeanor and loves to curl up in laps for nap time. She relishes her snuggle time, and she is quite fond of her night snack before bed. Born in mid-July, The Morrigan picks up skills quickly. She sleeps through the night in her kennel (she likes to have her kennel covered). The Morrigan is progressing well through potty training; she uses the doggie door like a champ! This pup loves water, and The Morrigan is that rare puppy who actually enjoys having a bath. She is learning the sit command and will start leash training shortly. The Morrigan loves treats, and she is very eager to please her humans. The Morrigan’s ideal home? Maybe it is yours, if you have love to share with this friendly, loyal puppy. Her needs are simple; people to lavish affection on and to snuggle with; lots of playtime and treats; and zucchini (she’s a unique puppy). Siblings of the cat, canine, or kid kind would round out her perfect pack. Are you ready to make room in your heart for The Morrigan? Want to meet The Morrigan? ADOPTION PENDING! This dog is matched with a potential adopter and is not currently available. However, you’re welcome to apply! While the chances of being matched with this dog are low, your application helps us get to know you and find the perfect dog for your family. What have we here? Meet Oogie Boogie! Oogie Boogie is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). “I’m gonna do the best I can”, says Oogie Boogie in the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas, and our pup embodies that spirit. Born on October 25, 2024, gentle Oogie Boogie is a young fawn and gray colored puppy with darker muzzle markings. We guess he is a labrador mix who will be in the 40-60 lb. range when grown (mama is quite petite). Part of the Nightmare Before Christmas litter, he traveled with his mom and four siblings from the Del Rio Animal Shelter in Texas to find new homes in the PNW area. Adventurous, active Oogie Boogie has a lot to say and a lot to do!  This friendly pup has done well with other dogs, kids and cats; he’s an all-around excellent companion. Oogie Boogie loves playing tug of war with another dog or a human; if there is no one to play with, he will amuse himself by stalking and bravely pouncing on his toys. Toys are very popular with this charming puppy, with rope toys his favorite (you can chew on them AND tug on them!). After a bout of rambunctious romping, affectionate Oogie Boogie likes nothing better than to snuggle up with you for a nap. He likes to show his appreciation for your company with kisses and sweet little squeaky noises. While Oogie Boogie can be independent and eager to explore on his own, this little sweetheart cherishes having people in his life. Oogie Boogie has started potty training and spends several hours at a time in his crate. He will begin leash and obedience training shortly. He’s a smart little guy, and he quickly learned to sit before his meals. Oogie Boogie is spending his days getting lots of cuddles, playtime, love, and new adventures with his foster family while growing into a healthy, active, affectionate pup ready for his new home. Oogie Boogie’s ideal home? He seeks someone to love who will love him in return and will ensure he learns the skills that will make him a happy and well-rounded dog. Oogie Boogie would do well in a home with kids, dogs, and cats; lots of cuddles, play, and activity would make him the happiest of pups. Does this sound like your home? Want to meet Oogie Boogie? This Here’s Your Future Pride and Joy Meet Snots!   Snots is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Born on October 14, 2024, handsome Snots is a young tan and brown colored Australian kelpie mix puppy with lighter facial markings and feet. We estimate he will be a medium size dog when grown. Snots is part of the Christmas Vacation litter, and he traveled with his mom and seven siblings from the Bi-Stone Rescue in Mexia, Texas to find new homes in the PNW area. Don’t let the name fool ya; our Snots doesn’t suffer from a sinus condition like his movie namesake. Puppy Snots is an affectionate, playful boy who goes toe to toe in games with other dogs. He adores his toys and alternates between seeking playmates (people, kids or dogs) and needing his quiet time. Snots is equally happy to sit on your lap and be snuggled as he is to run around with the pack. This little guy really enjoys being the center of your attention, and he would never turn down pets. Snots has shown he is very loyal to the person who feeds him, so the way to this puppy’s heart is definitely through his stomach. If you are looking to add a pride and joy to your home, Snots might be the pup for you! Snots is a young puppy who has started his potty training and will spend several hours at a time in his crate. When old enough, he will begin leash and obedience training. In the meantime, Snots is spending his days getting lots of cuddles, playtime, love, and new adventures with his foster family. Snots is growing into a healthy, active, affectionate pup ready for his new home. Snot’s ideal home? She’ll kidnap your heart! Meet Shock! Shock is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). “Birds of a feather. Now and Forever!” (Lock, Shock and Barrel) If you are looking for a pup to be your bird of a feather, Shock may be your girl! Born on October 25, 2024, affectionate, gentle Shock is a young black colored puppy with white blaze markings. We guess she is a labrador mix and will be in the 40-60 lb. range (mama is quite petite) when grown. Part of the Nightmare Before Christmas litter, she traveled with her mom and four siblings from the Del Rio Animal Shelter in Texas to find new homes in the PNW area.  Cuddly Shock is friendly, affectionate, and playful. A miniature of her mom, Shock is just as cute and has her sweet, gentle, friendly temperament.  A medium energy puppy, she enjoys her chew toys but what she really wants is to be close to you and warm. Snuggles? Yes, please! Curling up on your lap? Shock’s all in for that.  A warm nest of blankets for an afternoon nap? That would be divine (she’s not a fan of the cold). Sweet and gentle, she plays well with other dogs, kids and cats. She’s a perfect little companion puppy.  Shock and her delightful personality will kidnap your heart. Shock is a young puppy and has started potty training; she will begin leash and obedience training shortly. She is quite smart, and she has already picked up that she needs to sit to receive her food. She has taken well to a crate and will quietly spend several hours at a time in it with her chews. Shock is spending her days getting lots of cuddles, playtime, love, and new adventures with her foster family and growing into a healthy, active, affectionate pup ready for her new home. Shock’s ideal home? She seeks someone to love who will love her in return and will ensure she learns the skills that will make her a happy and well-rounded dog. Shock would do well in a home with kids, dogs, and cats; lots of cuddles, play, and warm places to nap would make her the happiest of pups. Does this sound like your home? Want to meet Shock? Demure, Mindful, Adorable! Meet Margo Chester! Margo Chester is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).  Born on October 14, 2024, sweet Margo Chester is a young black, brown and tan colored Australian kelpie mix puppy with darker facial markings. We estimate she will be a medium size dog when grown. Margo Chester is part of the Christmas Vacation litter, and she traveled with her mom and seven siblings from the Bi-Stone Rescue in Mexia, Texas to find new homes in the PNW area. We are currently taking applications for Margo Chester, and she will be able to go home with an adopter after her spay surgery in mid-December. Gentle and affectionate, Margo Chester won’t be the first puppy in the litter to greet new people or animals. Rather than push her way through the scrum of siblings rushing at everything, she waits for her chance to explore new guests with the most attention to detail. Once Margo Chester has conducted her assessment, she settles in for snuggles and seeks to be the center of your attention. Less rambunctious than some of her littermates and the second smallest of eight, she eschews rough play in favor of chewing on her toys (and whatever else is in her vicinity; she is a very young puppy, after all). She’s very demure, very mindful, and absolutely adorable.  Margo Chester is a very young puppy and is settling into a foster home with her mother and siblings. When old enough, she will begin potty, leash, and obedience training. We will be learning more about Margo Chester in the coming days, so please check back for more information. In the meantime, Margo Chester is spending her days getting lots of cuddles, playtime, love, and new adventures with her foster family. Meet Nuala! Nuala is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).  Nuala is a mixed breed puppy with black fur and white markings on her chest, and we estimate this adorable little girl will be a medium size dog when full grown. Part of our Court of Dreams litter, Nuala and her eight siblings were found in a cardboard box, turned over to a Texas shelter, and scheduled for euthanasia. We were able to save them all (thank you, fosters!) and transport them here to find new homes in the PNW area. Like her literary namesake, our Nuala is a loyal companion and will be a true friend for some fortunate adopter.  Smart, affectionate and sweet, Nuala will be the perfect companion dog. She settled into her foster home quickly and soon decided she loved everyone there (she behaves very well with cats, dogs, and kids). Friendly Nuala loves to snuggle and play with both her sibling and the much larger resident dog; her exuberance is infectious. She’s up for any romping or games they might suggest, and she loves to take the lead in any playing. Nuala recently discovered tug of war with the other pups; she may be the smallest, but she holds her own in their games. Spokane weather brings out the snuggler in Nuala. Cuddling is one of her favorite things to do on these cold days, and she greatly appreciates the warm throw blanket her fosters have on the couch. It is perfect for nestling in for a nap, and if there is a human to share it with, even better!  If it is raining (she’s not a fan), toys are a big hit with this little girl and amuse her indoors.  Born in mid-July, Nuala is a quick learner. Her foster has taught her to wait to be released before eating her meals, and she is almost potty trained. She is fully crate trained and waits to be released before prancing out of it. Nuala is learning to walk on a leash, and she has her basic obedience commands in place when rewards are used as an incentive.  Nuala’s ideal home? This friendly girl will thrive in any home with people she can love who will love her in return. Warm snuggles are a must! Treats and chew toys would be lovely, as would siblings of the dog, cat, or kid kind. Nuala would love companions for walks and adventures, and this smart girl would enjoy exploring and learning new things. If this sounds like you, Nuala would love to meet up! Want to meet Nuala? World class Snuggler! Meet Cassian! Cassian is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Cassian is a mixed breed puppy with soft, fawn colored fur and a darker muzzle who we estimate will be in the 40-60 lb. range when grown. Part of our Court of Dreams litter, Cassian and his eight siblings were found abandoned in a cardboard box, turned into a local shelter, and slated for euthanasia. We were able to rescue the whole litter (thank you, fosters!) and bring them here to find homes in the PNW. DNA test results on his sibling indicate he is American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, and a blend of other breeds including German Shepherd, Chow Chow, and Weimaraner. Cassian just might be a little of everything! Friendly and affectionate, Cassian loves to be with his people and is always eager to give kisses. The quintessential lap dog, he is a world class snuggler and canine warming blanket. This pup will be the perfect companion on cold winter nights; who needs a fireplace when Cassian cuddles up with you on the couch for some relaxing binge watching? But Cassian isn’t only about providing you with quality companionship and body heat; he enjoys romping and running, especially when he has company. Zoomies in the backyard are a favorite pastime, and the more dogs to join him, the merrier the play.  This exuberant puppy delights in playing with chew toys, makes friends quickly with other dogs, and has done well with kids and cats. He is quite fond of his toys, and Cassian enjoys transporting them all to his crate where he arranges them in order of most to least engaging.  Food and treats are very high on his list of favorite things; Cassian really knows how to work his puppy eyes to his advantage! Born in mid-July, Cassian is working hard on his skills. Cassian is progressing through potty training and alerts when he needs to go outside. Smart and eager to please, he is quickly learning his basic obedience. Cassian is also crate trained. A curious puppy, he enjoys walks on his leash (snow has been a new experience for him!). Cassian’s ideal home? This affectionate boy seeks a loving home with someone to be his companion for walks, adventures, and snuggles who will ensure he learns the skills that will make him a happy and well-rounded dog. Someone to cuddle with is top of his list. Lots of toys and treats would make him the happiest pup in the world, and Cassian would do well in a home with kids, cats or dogs. If you are looking for a loyal and loving pup, then Cassian might be the one for you!   Want to meet Cassian? Fill out an inquiry form or visit our website for more information! What’s the opposite of the runt? Meet Rusty Griswold! Rusty Griswold is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Born on October 14, 2024, handsome Rusty Griswold is a young black and chocolate brown colored Australian kelpie mix puppy with a stunning, almost tiger striped pattern. We estimate he will be a medium size dog when grown. Rusty Griswold is part of the Christmas Vacation litter, and he traveled with his mom and seven siblings from the Bi-Stone Rescue in Mexia, Texas to find new homes in the PNW area. All feet and floppy ears, Rusty Griswold is just a total goofball. The largest of the litter by almost a full pound (which is a lot when he weighs about 8.5 lbs.), friendly, active Rusty Griswold is playful and loves to roughhouse with his siblings. Tug of war is a favorite pastime for him, and he will take on several of his smaller siblings at once. He gets along well with the dogs and children in his foster home. Rusty Griswold isn’t all play, all the time though. He settles down quickly after his exertions and knows how to use his voice when he wants attention from people. This affectionate boy isn’t too big to snuggle with you, and he enjoys curling up with a warm human on these cold winter nights. Rusty Griswold is a very young puppy and has recently started on his training. He spends a few hours at a time in his crate, and he has begun potty training. When old enough, he will begin walking on a leash and learn basic obedience. Rusty Griswold loves food, so when he figures out he will get treat rewards for the desired behaviors, he will be very happy. Rusty Griswold’s ideal home? He seeks someone to love who will love him in return and will ensure he learns the skills that will make him a happy and well-rounded dog. Rusty Griswold would do well in a home with kids, dogs, and cats; lots of cuddles, play, and activity would make him the happiest of pups. Does this sound like your home? Want to meet Rusty Griswold? A Loving and Dedicated Mama Meet Aunt Bethany! Aunt Bethany is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).  Because “Fur-st Impressions” are very important, schedule a meet and greet with Aunt Bethany before applying to see if she is the perfect fit for your family by emailing us at Fur-stImpressions@pathofhoperescue.com.  A completed Adoption Application will be required after the meet and greet to move forward with Aunt Bethany’s adoption. Searching for that perfect addition to your fun, old-fashioned family Christmas (or any holiday, really)? Look no further than Aunt Bethany, mama of the Christmas Vacation litter, born October 14, 2025. Aunt Bethany keeps her wits about her as she raises eight adorable Australian kelpie mix puppies with striking lighter colored eyes. We rescued this charming family from a euthanasia list at a Texas shelter; now they are eager to embrace the season and spread joy in new homes in the PNW. Lovely mama Aunt Bethany is a medium size, mixed breed dog with tawny brown fur and white socks. She has striking yellow-amber eyes. Loving, gentle, and a dedicated mom to her pups, Aunt Bethany cares for her babies while sneaking in a little well-deserved “me time” when she can. She loves to find items like toys or shoes to take back to her bed (she doesn’t chew anything; she just likes to collect things). She also enjoys little snuggles and scratches when she can take a break from the pups.  Aunt Bethany has a sweet disposition and demure personality; she would do well in a calm household. In the meantime, Aunt Bethany and her puppies are settling into a foster home. Aunt Bethany quickly learned to use the doggy door to let herself out to potty. As the puppies become less dependent on her, she will begin leash and obedience training. Our Christmas Vacation pups agree that “the most enduring traditions of the season are best enjoyed in the warm embrace of kith and kin.” Want to make Aunt Bethany’s Christmas wishes come true this season? A possibly perfect puppy! Meet Cerridwen! Cerridwen is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Cerridwen is a mixed breed puppy with black fur and adorable black and white mottled markings on her neck and chest. Part of our nine puppy Court of Dreams litter rescued from Texas, we estimate she will be a medium size dog when full grown. Like her literary namesake, our Cerridwen is a true friend and will be a loyal companion for some fortunate adopter. Affectionate, friendly, and gentle, Cerridwen is quite possibly the perfect puppy. Born in mid-July, this little girl is the sweetest ever, a cuddle bug who loves being snuggled up next to a human, in her dog bed, or under a warm blanket. Curious and playful, Cerridwen enjoys initiating play with the resident dog and is quite brave about checking out new sounds or things in her environment. Funny Cerridwen excels at playing on her own if the other pups are busy. She enjoys squeaky toys and plushies, and she’s getting the hang of fetch. Her new favorite things are ice cubes. Cerridwen loves to chase them around, batting them about like a cat, until they melt away. When she hears the ice machine, she comes running! If you are looking for a pup to hang out with you at the coffee shop, Cerridwen is your gal!  She is a sociable pup who enjoys the company of other dogs; people and children are great as well because they will pet her.  She loves to meet new people (she wiggles her butt so much she shakes her entire body). Trips to the pet store or park are also high on her list of awesome things. Cerridwen gets cold easily, so she’s usually in a sweater or jacket when outside and waits patiently while you take it off or put it on. Suitably dressed, she had fun playing in her first snowfall and didn’t mind the icy patches outside. After some adventures, Cerridwen is quite happy to take a nap on her own or cuddled up with a buddy in a quiet place. Cerridwen is quickly picking up skills.  She contentedly spends several hours at a time in her crate, and she sleeps through the night. Cerridwen is progressing through her potty training (she will alert using the potty bells by the door when she needs to go out), doing well on her leash, and just beginning obedience. Cerridwen’s ideal home? Well, this lovely pup doesn’t need a castle or fancy court to make her happy. She seeks a family that will love her as much and as loyally as she will love them. Lots of romping and walks (she doesn’t appear to be a very high energy pup, so jaunts around the neighborhood would suit her fine), treats, snuggles, cuddles, and pets would make her the happiest puppy ever. She would thrive in a home with kids, dogs, and dog-savvy cats. If this sounds like your home, Cerridwen is waiting for you! Want to meet Cerridwen?
