My name is Hector and I am the most funnest boy in the whole wide world!  Ok maybe not the whole world but I am super fun.  My foster says I’m a great package, I’m a little bit puppy and a little bit adult.  It’s like the best of both worlds.   I LOVE toys and  playing with my foster doggos.  Have you tried wrestling?  It’s so much fun!   I also have a sweet side and I will be your bestest friend ever.  Don’t like to go potty by yourself?  I’ll come with you.  Don’t want to go anywhere in the house by yourself? It’s ok, I got you, I’ll be right by your side.  Need a snuggle buddy on the couch? I’m your man even if you don’t leave me a lot of room, I’ll find a way to fit.   This is my second visit to the rescue, I didn’t come back with a lot of  training and my manners? Let's just say  I am working hard on learning.  You might have already seen my walking post on the Path of Hope rescue page?  I’m a super smart boy who wants to learn.  I can get a little excited when it’s play time so I will probably need my hooman to tell me when enough is enough.  I’m also a good listener, so if I am doing something you don’t like just tell me “no sir”.    I’m hoping to find someone/s who will want to keep up on that training with me and help me be the best boy that I can be.  I will pay you back with all the love for the whole of my life.  Being with me is like when you open up that 10 piece chicken nugget meal and there is actually 11, I’m like that bonus nugget, extra special    If you're looking for a super cute, fun, little bit puppy, little bit adult, snuggle buddy who will accompany you to all the rooms in the house.  Then I am  your man! So head on over to the Path of Hope website and get those applications in.    XOXO Hector.      show less

Hi friends, my name is Spike!  I am an adult (over one year old), natural blonde with highlights, weighing in at 65lbs, from the mean streets of Houston. Don't let that scare you, I didn't let the streets change me. I'm a super sweet guy. I love attention, I mean like, I really LOVE it, but who doesn't?  My foster says that I need to tell you a few specific things; I’m potty and crate trained, though I am trustworthy outside of the kennel most of the time. I get along great with my dog and cat friends and I don't like to start any rough housing that my foster mom wouldn’t like. I still like to channel my inner puppy, so sometimes I will dig in the yard or chew on inappropriate things (oops!). My foster hoomans have been working hard to teach me what the house rules are and I am getting better every day!  I am not a fan of the leash and don't really have any skills there, but I'm eager to learn! I am brushing up on my basic obedience skills as well so that my adopters will be able to have a well-mannered, gentle dog in their home and family.  Since I lived in Texas for most of my life and wasn't taking heartworm preventatives, I tested positive for heartworm disease when I got to Washington. Luckily, the people at Path of Hope are experts in treating the disease using a slow-kill method that is safe and effective. I already began treatment and am doing great! My furever hoomans will receive the remainder of my treatment as well as free, monthly heartworm testing with the Rescue's Heartworm Specialist at no cost to them. Please don't be afraid of heartworm, it is not a deadly disease when caught early and treated. It can easily be averted by putting dogs like myself on a low cost, monthly preventative. If you have any questions, my foster tells me that you can contact the Rescue, visit our website, or view the most common questions regarding heartworm here. If you think that I am the man for you, fill out an application today! All dogs in the care of Path of Hope Rescue either have or will be spayed or neutered. Additionally, each animal has received age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, and monthly heartworm prevention. show less

Meet Nova! When you wish upon a star, you get exactly what you asked for. The star herself! Now that her puppies have been weaned, Mama Nova is excited to start her new life in the PNW with a family of her own. She warms up quickly and is certain that ALL people are her friend, regardless of how long she has known them. Being only a year old, Nova is an active, young dog who really enjoys playing with her toys and running around the yard, especially if her fosters join in on the fun. She does well around other dogs, is fully potty trained, and loves being in her crate. Nova does a great job on walks with polite leash manners and a cheerful disposition. Nova did test positive for heartworm disease but began treatment a few weeks ago and is doing well. The remainder of her treatment will be provided by the Rescue at no cost to her forever family along with free, monthly heartworm screening. Heartworm is not a deadly disease when caught early and treated. It can easily be averted by keeping your dog on a low-cost monthly preventative.
