He has never been aggressive and does well greeting guests in his own space where he has more confidence, especially if he has the chance to approach them first. He loves kids, does well with cats, and loves to play with his foster dog siblings to get all his energy out. Gandalf was adopted as a puppy by a family with two kids in elementary school. He was well behaved and obedient on family outings like boat rides, car rides, and the dog park but the family didn’t feel bonded with him….even after all of their adventures. Sky is super happy and friendly. Weighing in at 50 pounds, this beautiful multi-colored (Red/Chestnut/Orange/White/Cream) one-year-old female Husky loves all people including kids. (She has a special spot in her heart for teen girls.) She loves all dogs and likes cats too. Lots of exercise and brain games are needed to keep her occupied, otherwise, she is tempted to get into trouble for attention (like a toddler when Mom is on the phone). If she gets lots (and lots) of exercise and playtime, she is happy to take long naps on the couch and enjoys a good snuggle with dog friends as well as people. She has a fantastic calming effect on her yappy housemates! She doesn’t bark at people walking down the street but she does get excited when someone comes to the door. She is working on her walking manners but it’@s just so hard when she’d rather be playing with dogs and chasing squirrels. Most importantly, Sky needs company. She will go in her crate, but as soon as you close the door and she realizes you’re not going to let her back out to play, she will howl and try to get out because she misses you… so…much! She would love to sleep with her dog friends, or her people, whatever is allowed. She just doesn’t like being alone. Sky was found living on the streets of Yakima, Washington as a stray, searching for her home. She got pregnant and wandered into a nice neighborhood. One nice family took her in right before she gave birth. She birthed 11 babies at their home, 8 survived, and a week later they made their way to Spokane. Since arriving in Spokane underweight and afraid, Sky has gained approximately 6lbs and continues to get healthier by the day. Her babies are growing and flourishing too. 2 ½-year-old Julian is super sweet with his people. His desire for routine and accountability makes him perfect for quiet nights at home with a single or a couple that’s ready to grow their family with a fur baby. This 80-pound cream-colored short-haired Lab/Pyrenees Mix (our best guess!) absolutely loves to go for a jog with his people or run next to the bike/scooter. He enjoys socializing with other dogs and loves having a housemate to play with. He will sometimes get excited on a walk when he sees dogs, cats, or squirrels, but he understands the heel position and is comfortable using training collars to help him make good choices. Currently, Julian sleeps in his crate. He’s nervous about new people coming into the home and will sometimes bark if someone comes to the door, but he’s easily corrected. He does really well if you take the time to do proper introductions and go slow with him. His food motivation has helped create a foundation for his training that you’ll be able to build upon together. Once Julian is comfortable with you, he'll be all wiggles when you get home. Jigglypuff’s personality: - so sweet, she is a lover and truly just wants to be loved - playful, both with humans and with dogs (she hasn’t been introduced to cats or any other animals yet) - smart, she already knows sit and we’re working on lay down with her. she picks things up quickly, would benefit from a strong leader to teach her and enforce rules - energetic, she definitely has all the puppy energy! she will do well in an active home where the owners have time to play with her. - adaptable and open to new experiences, anything new like the bath or car or anything she’s taken in stride. - she’s been alert barking whenever she senses something is off.
