Look at this pint-sized cutie! Hela is all personality in a 15 pound package. Hela came to us from a local shelter where she was part of a hoarding case. She is definitely mixed with dachshund but is she part spaniel, part shepherd? It's anyone's guess, but she is 100% adorable! Hela is about a year old but still a puppy at heart. She has a mellow side but also has the best zoomies her foster family has ever seen. For a low rider she is super fast and loves chasing her foster brother around the yard. Hela is potty and crate trained, although she does not love the crate. She is fostered with a large dog, a human toddler, and she is GREAT with both. There is a cat in her foster home and we can definitely say she would not be great with a cat in her forever home. Hela did not love going on walks when she first came into the rescue but she is doing great on her walks now. She would love a home where her people will take her on lots of adventures. If you would like to meet Hela, please fill out an application and her foster coordinator will be in contact. show less

Momma Bear came to us from Mexicali, with her four puppies. Now that her pups have found loving homes, it is Momma Bear’s turn to find her forever family. When she first came to us, she was underweight, in horrible condition, and very shy. She was likely an outdoor dog her whole life but she is learning to love living with the finer things in life. She is now much healthier, about 30 pounds full grown, and has been working with her foster mom on becoming a more confident dog. She is sweet and loves to cuddle, play with her toys, and explore outdoors. She is still working on feeling comfortable being left alone, so she will need a patient owner who will continue to work with her in building her confidence, both alone at home and around new people. Momma Bear visits the dog park where she is curious about other dogs and will play some, but prefers to explore. She has met several dogs in our care and she has done very well with them. We think she would love a home with another dog and a big yard to play. If you are interested in meeting Mama Bear, please fill out an application on our website and an adoption coordinator will be in touch. show less

Meet Axel, the sweetest little big puppy around! Axel and his brothers came to us from Mexico at 3 weeks old without their mom. We know he didn't have the best start but that hasn't kept him from thriving in his foster home. He was over 11 pounds at 7 weeks old so that means he is going to be a big dog when full grown. We estimate 60+ pounds. Since we don't know who mom or dad was we are guessing he is a boxer/pitbull mix. Axel is fostered with a senior cocker spaniel she he adores and two girls who dote on him and his brothers. We would love an active family for Axel and one ready for puppy training and socialization. Big dog experience a plus. If you would like to meet Axel please fill out an application on our website and an adoption coordinator will be in contact. show less

Meet sweet Pooh! She came to us from Mexicali with her mom and siblings. Pooh is a little shy at first but when she is comfortable she is confident, feisty, and full of puppy energy! Pooh is great with dogs, cats, and kids but would need to be monitored because puppies are mouthy. Pooh is a pitbull/cattle dog mix so she will need adopters who know these breeds and their need for socialization and stimulation. Her mom is about 30 pounds so we suspect she will be in that range when full grown. If you think you might be the fight active family for Pooh please fill out an application on our website and an adoption coordinator will be in contact. show less

Are you looking for a sporty dog to go on adventures with? Harley QUINN might be the girl for you. Quinn came from the streets of Mexicali where she was dumped at 8 months old. While in foster she has learned a lot about being part of a family. She wants to be the queen of the castle so she will need adopters who can set up a structured foundation in the home. Because she can guard toys and beds she will do best in a home without young kids. She is also extra interested in cats so she probably shouldn't live with them. Quinn is crate and potty trained and gets along with dogs but sometimes needs a slow introduction. She is still learning how much fun walks can be but she is making progress, she is a little apprehensive on a leash. Quinn is a little over 15 pounds and will likely be about 20 pounds when full grown. She is very sweet, loves playing with her toys and can keep herself occupied hoarding them all on her bed. She loves snuggling with her people and napping on the couch. She is still a puppy though so keep your shoes and socks off the floor! If you would like to meet Quinn please fill out an application and a foster coordinator will be in contact. show less

Meet adorable Dora! Dora came to us a stray from one of our partner shelters, and has since been living in a foster home with another dog. Her foster mom describes her personality as happy and goofy. She loves to run and play in the yard, carry her toys around with her, and follow her canine foster sibling around the house. Dora has been very timid while she’s been with us, but she has made a lot of progress in her foster home. She still needs help and guidance building her confidence, so she will do best in a home with another dog. Young children make Dora a little nervous, so a home with adults or older children will be the most suitable. She currently weighs about 35 pounds at about a year old, and is crate and potty trained. If you are interested in meeting Dora, please fill out an application and her adoption coordinator will be in touch. show less

If you are looking for a mellow companion who loves nothing more than to chill by your side, Larry may be the pup for you! Larry is very easy-going around dogs and adult humans. He wants to spend as much time as possible with his human companions, and apart from a couple easy walks during the day, he is happy to lay about the house and relax all day. Larry loves other dogs, but he is not good with children, so he would do best in a home with adults and other dogs. If you are interested in meeting Electric Larry, please fill out an application on our website and an adoption coordinator will be in touch. show less
