Our poor guy Crosley can't seem to catch a break. Crosley first came to TRD about 4 years ago from Devore shelter, and was adopted by a military family. His family loved Crosley very much, but unfortunately after 2 years with Crosley, they were deployed overseas and couldn't take Crosley with them. They returned Crosley to the rescue, and he was adopted quickly (because he's so awesome!) by a TRD supporter, and we were sure this was his forever person. Unfortunately, his adopter fell on hard times and made the tough decision to return Crosley to us after 2 years of being Crosley's person. Although we are sad that poor Crosley can't seem to find his forever family (yet), we love having him back in the fold. He is a funny, silly, lovable guy who will make his next family very happy! Crosley was named after a funny little car from the 50s, and we think the name fits him perfectly! This basset hound mix is about 5.5 years old and full grown at 42 pounds. This charming guy is potty trained and crate trained, and learns new skills quickly. He has also been working his basic commands, and would love to show them off! Crosley has yet to meet a human he doesn't like, welcoming everyone into his space. He loves playing with other dogs, and his goofy run and play are sure to keep you laughing. Sometimes Crosley needs slow introductions with other dogs until he figures out his place in the pack, but he is overall a sociable guy who figures it out. Once he gets attached to his human, he can get some separation anxiety, but it is largely mitigated by crating, which we would encourage his new family to continue. The good news is that he is totally crate trained and loads up in his crate no problem. Crosley is pretty energetic and would love an active family to keep him hopping! He is so easygoing and cheerful that he'd be a delight in nearly any home environment and perfect for anyone looking for a lovable, active companion. As long as he gets some playtime and a nice walk, he's a happy boy! If you think Crosley could be for you, please fill out an application on the TRD website and an adoption coordinator will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet.
