Are you looking for a fun and active buddy to join you on your adventures? Meet Scully! Scully came to TRD from a local vet, who took Scully in when he was hit by a car and his owner couldn't pay for his care. Scully spent a few months at the vet's office recovering from his surgery, and getting love and training from the vet staff. His surgery was perfectly successful, and Scully is mobile, sporty, and very active. Scully is extremely playful with other dogs. He loves going to doggy day care or to the dog park and romping around with his canine buddies. If he lives with another dog, his new canine sibling will need to be ready to wrestle! Scully loves people too. He's a real charmer, and would love to be with an active family who will give him lots of things to do! Scully is 40 pounds and 7 months old as of early August 2019. We think he will be around 60 pounds full grown. He is house trained and crate trained, and already knows sit and down. He would love to learn more with his new family. Because of his high energy, size, and breed mix, keeping up with his training, including leash training, will be very important with his new family. A complimentary training session comes with Scully's adoption! If you would like to meet Scully, please fill out an adoption application on the TRD website and an adoption coordinator will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet. show less

Are you looking to add a little spunk and fun into your life? Meet Jojo! Jojo is an adorable spaniel-basset hound mix with a real zest for life. This fun-loving guy has lived with other dogs and cats, and gets along with everyone. Jojo has a lot of playful energy so he should definitely meet everyone in his new family, human, canine, and otherwise, before making things official, he may be too much for younger children. Jojo is a great size, at about 30 pounds, he's not too big and not too small and at a year and a half he's done growing. Jojo is crate trained in his foster home and is also house trained. Jojo would love a new family who will take him along on all of life's adventures and to continue with his current training plan. He's fun to have around and he loves being with his people. He is definitely a basset hound with a lot to say so we think he will do best in a house over an apartment-type living situation,. He's is a regular at a local doggie daycare and is a big hit! If you would like to meet Jojo, please fill out an application on the TRD website and and an adoption coordinator will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet. show less

Are you looking for a sweet and loving companion to warm your lap, and your heart? Meet Sweetie! Sweetie came to TRD from a fellow rescuer in Mexico. Sweetie had her puppies Biggie and Smalls in tow when she joined the TRD family. They are now adopted, and it's Sweetie's turn to find her forever family. Sweetie is everything her name implies. This little darling would love to be someone's life-long companion. She has a nice medium energy, and walks well on a leash. She is content to be a lap dog but also likes some independent time. She has learned "sit" and at 2 years old, is a great age to do more basic training with her new forever family. Sweetie weighs in at a practically perfect 25 pounds. Sweetie gets along well with dogs and has lived with dog-savvy children and has done well with them. If you would like to meet Sweetie, please fill out an application on the TRD website and an adoption coordinator will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet. show less

Are you looking for a little mischief in your life? Meet the Mischief Makers! This adorable litter of puppies was cruelly discarded. Someone threw them over a fence when they were 4 weeks old to get rid of them. Thankfully they landed softly, and wound up in the hands of fellow rescuers, who asked TRD for assistance in adopting these cuties out. These puppies as quintessential puppies, and live up to the Mischief Makers theme! They are all fun, energetic, playful, affectionate, and intelligent! They love cuddling, exploring in the backyard at their foster home, and all the normal puppy play. These puppies are 8 weeks old as of late June 2019, and ready to start life with their new forever families. We believe these puppies are shepherd mixes, and they are shaping up to be large adult dogs. Moose is independent, playful, curious, adventurous, spunky, and the dominant puppy in the litter. She loves affection but does not want to share it with the others. If you would like to meet Moose, or any of the Mischief Makers, please fill out an application on the TRD website and an adoption coordinator will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet. show less

Adorable pug alert! Dimitri came to TRD from a local shelter. He has all the pug puppy personality you can imagine. He has a lot of spunk too, and has a pretty high energy level for his small frame. This guy is a fun-loving adventure pup. He also likes a good snuggle with his people. It's pretty clear that while Dimitri has all the personality and charm you'd expect from a pug, he has not had a lot of guidance from humans in his first year of life. He has been working on his basic skills with his foster family, and he gets better every day. He is getting better all the time on leash, but he still gets a little distracted with all the good smells out there! He is not reactive to other dogs when he's out and about. He does get excited when he meets new people, and has a tendency to jump up on people. He can't help it--he loves his humans! Dimitri knows Sit and would love to find a forever family who will continue training with him. Dimitri is house trained and crate trained. He weighs in at about 18 pounds at one year old, and he should put on a few more pounds to be at his ideal weight (he's working on it!) If you would like to meet Dimitri, please fill out an adoption application on the TRD website and an adoption coordinator will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet. show less

Are you looking for a fun and active family dog? Meet William, a sweet and handsome larger breed puppy who came to TRD from a fellow rescuer in Mexico. William had a rough start and is a Parvo survivor. He and his litter mates were abandoned and left to die, but William's story will have a much better ending than that! William is about 4 months old as of late July, and weighs in at about 10 pounds. We believe he will be somewhere in the 40-50 pound range full grown. William's foster family reports that William is very sweet and loving. He is super smart and willing to learn new things. He loves to play and be active. William is crate trained and has almost mastered his potty training. He lives with a human toddler and two other dogs and gets along great with everyone. If you are looking for a fun and active sweetheart, William may just be your guy. To meet William, please fill out an adoption application on the TRD website. show less

Meet Biggie, an adorable fluff ball of a puppy who came to TRD as a newborn pup with his mom Sweetie and his litter mate Smalls. This adorable rough and tumble guy was born on May 11th. Mom is a sweet beagle mix and Biggie’s dad is, well, something fluffy! We can’t be sure, but we believe he will be around 25-30 pounds full grown. Biggie is a typical puppy who requires exercise, fun, and of course love. He also enjoys belly rubs a lot. Both Biggie and Smalls like to play with toys, and they also like wrestling with each other and their older canine foster sibling. Biggie and Smalls live with dog-savvy children so they are familiar with small humans. Are you looking for a sweet little lap dog to keep you company? Meet Dozer! This adorable 5-year-old Maltipoo came to TRD from a local shelter. Dozer's foster mom reports in that Dozer is super sweet, and definitely a lap dog. Dozer does have a frisky side and likes to play tug of war with stuffed toys (and his dog leash). Dozer is very well behaved, learns quickly, and is very bright. Once the fun is over Dozer is content to lounge around and hang with his humans. His foster mom says that Dozer sleeps a lot during the day. Dozer currently lives with another dog and gets along fine with him, but his affections are mostly saved up for his people. He really is a lap dog. Dozer is house trained and crate trained and weighs in at 8 pounds. If you would like to meet Dozer, please fill out an adoption application on the TRD website and an adoption coordinator will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet. show less

HI-YA!! Introducing Karate! He's a one-year-old pup rescued by TRD from a local shelter in June 2019. Karate is a Dachshund-Cairn Terrier mix and weighs about 10 pounds. Don't think of him as a small dog though--Karate can wrestle with dogs bigger than him (that's why we named him Karate). Karate is great with humans and dogs in his foster home. He is quite energetic and loves to play with his canine siblings in the house and the backyard. With the humans, he is a sweet and cuddly dog. He loves to be loved. He also loves his Nylabones. He is energetic at playtime but can easily chill when his humans are resting. With his temperament, he will make a terrific addition to a family looking for a small breed pup. He will thrive in a home with another dog. Karate is almost house trained and crate trained. He sleeps in his crate during the night and also during the day when his foster family is out. He has been good on the leash, but he needs a harness as he gets excited when he sees dogs on his walk. Karate occasionally chews on shoes and other household items--redirection to a Nylabone or another toy works well. He is also picking up a few commands like Sit, Stay, and others. Karate is a happy-go-easy pup who is over glad to be over his days as a stray and in the shelter. He just needs a family that will love and cherish him forever to make his life complete. And in return, he promises to love them 5000 times more. If you would like to meet Karate, please fill out an application on the TRD website and an adoption coordinator will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet. show less

Hi, my name is Otto. I’m a playful 10 month old male weimaraner. Currently I weigh 64 lbs, but they think I will be 70-75 lbs when fully grown. I came into the rescue when my former family’s landlord found out about me…. oops! Before that, I had a handful of other homes. Unfortunately most people don’t understand how much exercise and training a weimaraner puppy needs. People see our beauty, but forget we are hunting dogs bred for endurance. Luckily my current foster family has been helping me learn to be a good house dog. I am now crate trained, house trained, and am working on my obedience. When they first got me, I was petrified of getting into cars and acted like a 64 lb sack of potatoes! After lots of work, I now enjoy going for car rides with the foster family. The foster family affectionately calls me “Pony” because I love to prance through the house with a toy in my mouth. My favorite past times are playing with the other dogs in the home and playing tug-of-war with the humans. Although the rescue hasn’t cat tested me, my previous owners said I used to sleep with a feral cat in the back yard. My ideal family would be very active, include me in all adventures, keep me mentally engaged, and have previous experience with my breed. I am goofy, a bit aloof, and very busy! Hola! I am Pedro, and I recently came to my TRD foster home from Mexico. I like long walks, and my foster dad says I need a couple a day to tame my puppy energy. I love going on walks with my new pack, and foster dad has been teaching me my leash manners. I live with two other dogs right now and I love the canine company. I'd love a canine bro or sis in my new home. I think I'd be OK without one too, as long as I got plenty of chances to socialize. I also really love my humans! Foster dad says I'm "engaging", whatever that means. All I know is when I see a human, I like to introduce myself and make myself available for pets. I'm seven months old as of June 2019, so I'm young, and fun, and ready to learn! I weigh in at around 20 pounds, and I will put on a few more before I am full grown. I'm almost perfect with my house training, and I get the whole crate training thing, but it's not my favorite. If you would like to meet me, and maybe be my forever person, please fill out an application on the TRD website and an adoption coordinator will be in touch to schedule a play date for us! show less

Are you looking for an adorable Friend who will be there for you too? Meet the Friends puppies! These adorable pups were an accidental litter, born on April 25, 2019. Mom is a beautiful and well-mannered Golden retriever. The puppies are either golden like her, or black, some with white markings. It's hard to say was the dad was (maybe a black lab or lab mix?) but it's pretty clear that these puppies will be large adult dogs. These pups are fun, romping-stomping little bundles of joy. If you are looking for a great dog to raise up from puppyhood, one of these puppies would be a great choice. Ross is one of the chunkier puppies, and likes to get in the mix with his siblings. He has just a touch of white on his chest and a handsome, smooshable face. If you would like to meet Ross, or any of the Friends puppies, please fill out an application on the TRD website and an adoption coordinator will be in touch. show less
