Meet our easy going laid back Jake. This guy is as cool as a cucumber. He is perfectly happy just hanging by himself with some toys. He is also very loving and affectionate and will happily nap right in your lap.   Jake is super food motivated and has learned his name. He is learning to potty outside and actually already prefers that, even starting to go to the door and sit. He is crate trained as well. Jake has two canine foster brothers and has little bursts of playtime what them here and there but overall would rather just hang along side them. Jakes 3 year old human foster sister is full of shenanigans and he just remains his calm loving self through it all. This boy doesn’t have and ounce of mischief in him. One of my favorite things about him is what you see is what you get, he’s just a cool dude who doesn’t demand much but will give you all the love you want. Jake would be great as an only dog but could easily live with other dogs as well. He’s wonderful with kids of all ages. Jake will be the boy that can adapt to it all.  Puppy: up to 1 yr $450.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm each dog and chip. Lastly, we spay or neuter each of our dogs. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match. Please visit https://www.calpaws.org/available-dogs for the adoption application! We are always in need of experienced fosters for the amount of dogs we have coming in. Sarah (a Malinois mix),  according to the Chowchilla animal control officer that delivered her, was literally seconds away from euthanasia when a volunteer supporter claimed her for rescue.  She was deemed "inconvenient " due to her repeated escapes from her kennel in her desire for human companionship.  This is really all that needs to be said about Sarah.  Sarah thrives on love, attention, and human connection.   She is a lovable friendly companion who is as happy to sit at your feet as to sit in your lap (she is still a puppy in her heart I think).  Sarah gets along great with large dogs, little dogs, cats, and kittens alike.  She is extremely outgoing and enjoys playing with Teddy the just as much as Daniel, the Boxer.  Sarah was a little "rough around the edges" but is learning to go to her crate with minimal guidance, and has grown to tolerate being alone overnight with no desire to escape whatsoever.  She has nearly mastered being housebroken as well. Sarah is a good-natured, friendly-hearted & intelligent dog who would make a great companion for life in any home, in any setting.  Adoption fees: Adult: 1-6 yrs $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm each dog and chip. Lastly, we spay or neuter each of our dogs. She is very smart, is great with kids and other dogs. Annie had a bit of a rough start when she was dumped in the parking lot of a Walmart in rural Nevada at around 4.5 weeks old, but her luck changed when a CalPaws adopter advocated for her and she was brought into the rescue officially and became a CalPaws girl!!!
