Chloe is a 50 lb. Belgian Malinois who thrives on being with her people. She is an easy, safe dog and could be considered for a first time dog owner. Ideally she would be placed with a kind, gentle, active person or family who has no other pets or one other dog who is friendly.   Chloe LOVES to play ball until she’s exhausted. She also enjoys hiking, running, and swimming. She will chill out for the majority of the day when you’re not actively engaging in play or activities with her. She is incredible at catching balls and frisbees and would make a great disc dog or agility competition dog.    Chloe is a low maintenance dog. She’s had extensive professional training in her current home and has a 100% reliable recall. She’s easy to walk on leash. She is receptive to learning new things and has a naturally obedient temperament, wanting to please. She is a happy wiggly girl who is moderately social and likes a moderate to high amount of pets, hugs and kisses. Not overly needy but not distant. She does cuddle and is very sweet to dogs and people. No signs of aggression ever. She can be left alone in the house or car without being crated.    Chloe is a fairly sensitive dog, but not wimpy. She can be sensitive to loud, sudden noises but not in an extreme way. She is tentative but friendly when meeting new people and dogs. She’s the kind of dog that likes to stay close even off leash. Always checking in.    Chloe is completely healthy and sound physically and mentally. UTD on shots, physical exams and heart worm medications.    Chloe is being relocated due to another dog in her existing home bullying her. If the owner weren’t a protection sport competitor with their other dogs, Chloe would be the dog they would keep. show less

Meet Jax.  Now, cue the Batman song.  Nah, nah, nah, nah, Jax Man!  He is a silly boy who is prone to looking like a fruit bat with his large pointy ears and pearly white fangs.  Jax is about 2-3 years old.  He was brought into the rescue from a shelter a little over 3 months ago.  He was very underweight, had swollen feet, was full of foxtails, and his skin was infected.  Please note: We are a small rescue and do not have the resources to respond to inquiries. If a dog is on our website, it is still available. We can not arrange meet & greet without an application. We are not a shelter and do not have a facility. All our dogs are in foster homes. He also has a previously healed fracture on his back leg.  This doesn’t slow him down much, but he can occasionally limp.  Over the course of the past 3 months, he has had over 100 foxtails removed from his feet and body.  His skin has been slowly healing from open wounds and infections.  He is now a healthy weight, most of his fur is growing back, and he has been foxtail free.  However, he was also diagnosed a heartworm positive and now that he is doing so well, it is time to start treatment for those nasty worms.  This will be done over the course of about another 3 months and during that time, he will have to be kept quiet and not overexert his heart as the treatments are quite rough.   Despite all of the above, Jax is a super silly, super sweet boy.  He is good with dogs and dog savvy cats.  He hasn’t been around a lot of small children or small dogs, but he hasn’t been inappropriate during brief meets.  He is rarely reactive to much while on walks or while hanging out in the front yard off leash.  He has demonstrated a good recall when commanded or will stop immediately if told.  He really just wants to be with people.  He will chose people over dogs.  He recently started daycare and has done well.  He plays some and enjoys the other dogs, but prefers to follow the room attendant around.    He is not a snuggly dog and sometimes gets up and moves if he just isn’t feeling the love.  But other times, he enjoys a nice hug or a belly rub.  Some of this could be a result of being painful to touch for so long.  He will follow you everywhere or make sure you are in his sight.  He does suffer from separation anxiety and is best crated when leaving him even for short periods.  His is currently in an Impact Crate, but he will be working on going into a plastic crate and not escaping.  When left out of the crate while his people are gone, he has chased the cats or peed in the house due to his anxiety.  He has not demonstrated any other destructive behavior.  He has been working on his manners.  He has a nice sit now and will sit and wait for his food.  He is learning “leave it” and “take it” and has done well.  He takes treats gently when instructed.  Like most Shepards, he can be a bit mouthy at times.  He is potty trained but still has occasional episodes of peeing in the house.  It seems if he gets the urge to pee and no one is paying attention, he will find a place in the house.  He might do better if there is a doggy door available.   Jax would do well in a home with someone who is retired or works from home to be his constant companion.  He enjoys other animals in the home but they are not a source of comfort to him like a human.  He hasn’t met a person he didn’t like yet and aims to please.  He likes car rides, coffee dates, and walks.  He has bursts of energy and gets zoomies and loves a good tough squeaky toy he can gnaw on, but he is most often happy to lay around and keep an eye on things.  He is a quiet, handsome dude and not much phases him.  Consider adopting Jax and in return you’ll get a constant loyal companion. Please research this breed before submitting an application or inquiry. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please review our adoption process and then fill out an online adoption form at https://www.calpaws.org/adopting. Experience with obedience training is definitely required. We are a small rescue and do not have the resources to respond to inquiries. If a dog is our website, it is still available. Meet Princess Lillibet of the Royals litter!  Being the runt has not slowed down this little lady. She is loving and affectionate and has plenty of sass to boot! Sometimes being little means you have to act big! Lillibet was born mid March 2025 and came to the rescue along side her 7 other siblings at just days old. She was noticibly tiny right off the bat and required a little extra TLC to get her stregnth up. Lillibet and her royal siblings were all bottle fed which means she will be ultra snuggly and attached to her person. Her perfect family will allow her the time she needs to grow into her big personality and spoil her with lavish amounts of love and cuddles as her title requires.  Puppy: up to 1 yr $450.00 Our dogs are spayed/neutered and a registered chip. For our puppies they are up to date on vaccinations.  Once adopted it is the new owner’s responsibility to continue the remaining vaccinations with a veterinarian. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match.
