Yate became a statistic when he was hit by a car on the 4th of July. The local vet called us and asked us to help save a life. Yate's owners being a young couple unable to pay for the necessary surgery, the only other option was to put him to sleep... of course we couldn't say no! He came to us after surgery for a broken femur where they placed a plate in his leg. SO... Yate has a plate and NO LONGER needs to wait in his crate! He is ready for a date! He has been recovering with a medical foster and is doing well, he is starting to look for his forever home. His forever home should be active and experienced as Yate has room to learn more manners and needs to be socialized as is true for many pups born during COVID. He is about 5 months old and will likely be a medium sized dog. If you are interested in Yate please fill out an application and his foster will get back to you. He’s the last to bark or react, he is more submissive than the rest of the pack. He is more cautious and likes to hang back and observe. He’s a very smart boy and learning to sit. Getting very good with potty training, only a couple pee accidents in house. He’s a good sleeper - sleeps through night. Loves loves his treats. Loves to have his face and ears rubbed and snuggles all day long. He’s active but will settle down fast in a lap. He’s the first to ask to be lifted into your lap, by your side on the couch. This beauty came to us as a stray and is approximately 4 months old weighing 29 lbs. Coco is such a very well-behaved pup, is housetrained, spayed and knows how to sit! She loves to be close to her people but prefers to get her ear rubs and hugs on her own terms and loves being around other dogs, sometimes joining in their play and sometimes observing from a distance. When barking erupts, she runs to her people for reassurance and then happily trots back to the pack. She quietly crates when her people are gone, but does not like the crate at night, instead preferring to sleep on a dog bed near her other dog foster brother and sisters. She loves water and like many GSDs, drinks water with her front feet in the water bowl, so a good mop will be essential! Coco is on the submissive side and is quite a chill little girl who will steal your heart with her sweetness! meet Dozer! Dozer is a well rounded 3 month old pup. He is a German Shepherd mix. He is very outgoing and loves to meet new people and animals. He gets along great with the other resident dogs in the home. We are unsure about cats, but given his age we believe it is workable. Dozer is doing awesome on his potty training and has not had an accident and many days. He sleeps well in his crate overnight. He is a very cuddly people orientated pup, and will lay at your feet while his humans are relaxing. He does well with children and loves to play with toys! Calpaws was able to help him get back on track and he is thriving. Goose is currently 6 weeks old and will be able to go to his forever home at about 8 weeks old. My name is Dessa. They estimate me to be about 4 years old but I still have boundless energy. I am on the smaller side for my breed weighing in at approximately 55 pounds. I was found as a stray and I have been decomressing with my foster family and doing great. I started out as a pretty blank slate but I'm a super smart student and have learned a ton. I just started working on crate training and it is going well. I can also say I am now housebroken, YAY! I understnad what "outside" for "potty" means though to me sometimes it means outside to PARTY! I am a dawdler and like to explore every nook and cranny... do some zoomies... followed by more exploring before settling on just the right spot. I'm good with meeting other dogs and so far have not met a kid I did not like. I am curious but gentle around other animals (horses and goats). I haven't had the pleasure of meeting a kitty yet but I don't chase birds, squirrels, rabbits or other small furry things, they say that is a good thing. I can be shy and nervous at first but once I warm up I'm glued to your side, I even sometimes try to be a lap dog! So whether you are out and about or just hanging out, I only want to be with you. Adoption fees: Puppies: 0-1yr $450.00 Adult dogs: 1-6 years $400.00 Seniors 6+ $350.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm each dog and chip. Lastly, we spay or neuter each of our dogs. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match.
