Meat Dean! Dean is an 8-week old male German Shepherd. Dean was rescued at 5 weeks of age when he and his sister were dumped at the Stanislaus Shelter in deplorable condition. He was covered in infected flea bites, his coat was matted in puss, and he was extremely dehydrated and underweight. Dean spent the night in the Emergency Hospital where they worked on hydrating him, started him on medications, and cleaned him up to the best of their abilities, which included some shaving. This poor guy was not feeling good in his skin, but since being given consistent good care he has shown how appreciate and sweet he is. Dean’s soft eye contact and cuddly nature makes him a gem in his foster home. He is polite and adoring to his 10-year old foster sister, is learning to enjoy toys, and will give a good romp with his sister, Dolly. Dean is a gentle soul and has a confidence that is not overbearing. He enjoys his naps, likely as he’s still healing, and sleeps quietly in his crate all evening with access to puppy pads to relieve himself.    Dean has been medically cleared and is ready for his forever home! Puppy: up to 1 yr $450.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm each dog and chip. Lastly, we spay or neuter each of our dogs. Brad Is your type 'Tall, Dark, and Handsome"? How about a sensitive soul? Brad ticks all the boxes and you are in luck - he's available. Brad came to Calpaws from the Oakland shelter. He's not a fan of the hustle and bustle of city life - he's more of a small town, sleepy neighborhood kind of guy. Brad does well with other dogs, but is just as happy to be solo too. He's 7 years old, about 75 lbs and a tall drink of water. He's a shy boy and prefers hanging at home for netflix and chill vs the party scene. Brad does well left alone on his own, is fully house trained, crate trained and improving his leash skills every day. Brad makes a great work from home buddy - snoozing through those meetings and content with a walk or two each day. Brad would love a house with a yard for some games of fetch or just chilling on the grass.  Brad has had some training and does well with structure and being given tasks. Brad is super smart and a really good dog. Adoption fees: Senior: 6+ yr $350.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm each dog and chip. Lastly, we spay or neuter each of our dogs. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. Frank looks a lot like his sister Lola but larger. He has beautiful black  tan and white markings and very large paws. He is going to likely be the largest out of these 4. He loves to wrestle and chew. He is very outgoing and carefree. He is a curious guy and has no problem investigating new people/things. He gets along great with his siblings but plays the roughest. He gets along with other dogs just sometimes comes on a little strong if he is the same size or bigger than the dog because he's a puppy and doesn't realize his size/weight with his clumsiness. He loves to play with toys and carry around a ball. He loves to lick your face and wag his tail. He is puppy pad trained and working on potty training outside with great success. He has met older children and gotten along with them great. He has not met any cats yet but I think with proper introduction/training he could cohabitate with cats just fine. Puppy: up to 1 yr $450.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm each dog and chip. Lastly, we spay or neuter each of our dogs. Meet Halo! Halo is a female Siberian Husky approximately 3-4 years old weighing about 45 lbs. This sweet girl was named Halo by my 6 yo daughter because she says she is our “Christmas Angel”, and that is exactly what Halo is. The sweetest most mild mannered delicate little lady you’ll ever meet. Halo would do wonderfully in a home with children of any age. She really enjoys watching over her foster kids while they play. She has been around kids of all ages from toddlers & elementary aged kids to teens. She is excellent with all of them!  Halo was brought into my home with her 3 beautiful puppies Jingle, Noelle and Scout, and being a good mama, she was protective of her babies.  After her puppies were relocated to another foster, she relaxed some around my other pups but remains vigilant and doesn’t want to interact with them. We don’t know how her behavior would change if brought into a new home with another friendly dog(s) and may be fine.  We know she would thrive as a single pup in afamily too.   She shows no food aggression and has paid no attention to our outdoor cats. Halo would be happiest indoors hanging out with her family all day. Getting her outside can be a task at times but she is very treat motivated and will usually follow willingly with treat in hand. Halo is a husky after all and her typical husky stubbornness shines in this regard! Halo is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night willingly. Although she’d prefer your bed or couch! She is incredibly calm and easy going. She frightens easily at sudden movements or noises. Our home is very loud and d our children are rambunctious and she does great. Adult: 1-6 yrs $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm and microchip each dog as well as spay or neuter. Kevin was very timid when he first came to us. He is mostly black with some white markings on his chest and very distinguished brindle colored paws. He has more of a lab build than his siblings. He has beautiful brown eyes that speak volumes. He has came out of his shell more and more each day he has been with us and loves to cuddle. He gets along great with his siblings and he's even started to learn to dig. He is a lover and enjoys being held. He is puppy pad trained and has started potty training outside with great success. He gets along with other dogs and warms up to people with a little time and slower movements. He has met older children and gotten along with them great. He has not met cats but is still young so I think with proper introduction he could get along with them just fine.
