Saleen is one of four girls in a five puppy litter. She is a sweet girl who loves to run and play. She is the talker of the litter. Her foster Dad says she spends lots of time ‘revving her engine as a true Saleen would’ because of the fun noises she makes when picked up or playing. She does not mind playing by herself but loves to wrestle with her siblings. She enjoys sniffing around the yard, chewing on toys and laying in the shade. She is working on car rides in the crate and loves to look around when they are out and about in the shopping cart.  Saleen is very smart and loves to dig and pull at the turf in the play area. When Saleen has finally tired herself out, she heads right to the bed in the crate. She has yet to find her bark but does enjoy a good growl. She does do some whining and a small howl when she is awake and ready to get up to pee. Saleen is working on potty training outside only and alerting at the door. However, she does use a pee pad when she does not alert. Crate training to be in the crate by herself is the next progression she will be working on. Saleen does sleep in the crate overnight with her siblings currently. The foster family is also working on leash training so that it will hopefully be an easy transition in her fur-ever home.  She is very gentle and becoming more and more interested in being picked up and loved on by her foster family which includes a 3 year old. She is very patient with the 3 year old and likes to follow her around. She is not phased by the 3 month old baby when she is crying or making noises. She is semi curious of the foster families 13 year old small dog but is submissive to her when she thinks to encounter her. Saleen will do best with a family that is active and can spend lots of time working with her. She loves to be outside and exploring. She would love to have as many working jobs as possible. But best that she has at least one active job to keep her busy. She will love to have tons of places to explore and run.  Being fostered in Petaluma, CA   show less

Steve McQueen (Steve for short) is one boy of the five puppies in the litter. He is a sweet boy who loves to run and play. Meet Crystal! Crystal is the cutest little pudge of a puppy!  She definitely got the cattle dog coloring even though she’s also not mixed with German Shepherd and Husky.   She is such a sensitive sweetheart but can certainly hold her own when her littermate and she wrestle!  Crystal has the softest fur with lovely brown ears outlined in black.  You can often find her splayed out on the cool tile floor napping after a rough and tumble session with her brother. When picked up, she will melt into you, burying her head in your neck.  One ear is threatening to stand up. This little love is also very smart and has made good progress towards potty training.  Puppy: up to 1 yr $450.00 Our dogs are spayed/neutered and a registered chip. For our puppies they are up to date on vaccinations.  Once adopted it is the new owner’s responsibility to continue the remaining vaccinations with a veterinarian. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match. Please visit https://www.calpaws.org/available-dogs for the adoption application! We are always in need of experienced fosters for the amount of dogs we have coming in. Meet handomes Deebo! Deebo is a special boy who came from a terrible situation at a backyard breeder's home. This GORGEOUS red and black German Shepherd came from German line AKC parents who were the victim of a backyard breeder for years before rescued by CalPaws. Deebo, who was once shy and unsure, has thrived in a reliable foster home and his personality has blossomed into a an amazing K9 companion!  He is very curious about everything and loves his walks. He's just over 50lbs and his medium size would make him an excellent jogging buddy.  He is housetrained, crate trained, knows sit, stay, and recall.  Deebo is dog friendly and currently residing with two foster siblings. He loves his romps with them and is respectful of their space when it's time to relax. Though he's not currently living with a cat, Deebo's been exposed to them in the past and we suspect he'd be cat workable now.  Deebo LOVES to play with toys, ice cubes, and his foster brother and sister. One of his foster sibalings is a senior and he is very respectful of her space. He also likes water and would love an adventure to a lake or the ocean.  True to his breed, Deeebo has become his foster mom's shadow and will follow her everywhere he can. He's enjoyed going to the Farmers Market, restaurants, and outdoor concerts and has behaved superbly. He's truly enjoying seeing new people and dogs. Deebo is a fast learner and would make an excellent addition to a home.  Adult: 1-6 yrs $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm and microchip each dog as well as spay or neuter. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. Meet Lottie! I am a beautiful 3 year old white female GSD. I have too many wonderful qualities to mention here but I will give you few teasers about me. My days start in the morning with border patrolling to make sure my home is protected. Following security checks, I have my morning breakfast. I am a slow eater and chew my food to digest it properly. I like to have a couple spoons of yogurt mixed with my food as often as possible to keep my beautiful hair conditioned while strengthening my flying skills for dog olympics. I like to exercise after breakfast by fetching balls my companion throws in all directions. During the day, I like to relax while guarding for intruders, such as uninvited squirrels. I love being with others of my kind to have fun and chase each other. Speaking of other species like humans, I like to cuddle with them at every occasion I find. I like to be their best friend. At night, after dinner, I may need to step outside for a bit. I then, go to sleep in my own bed, preferably near my companion. I am a good listener. I know when to sit, stay down, run, and come back to my companion even when we go to the park. Speaking of parks, I prefer parks that are big so I can run and explore all the hidden corners. I usually guide my companion to the park by pulling a little on the leash. I let my companion know that I had enough socializing and fun by going to the gate and waiting. on the way to the car, I don't pull on the leash since I know where we're going. It is very important to mention that I don't ever remember being dragged out of or expelled from parks for misbehaving. However, I dislike when a bunch of curious ones gather around me and sniff all my private parts. I let them know I'm a lady by showing them my beautiful smile. However, I am more than OK with one on one platonic relationships. Also, I don't like to drink water in the parks unless I am in desperate need. I never do my business at home. I let my companion know by nudging them gently in the morning if they are sleeping. If I am really squeezed I bark softly not to startle them. During the day, I talk to them in my way but not with a loud voice that some call barking. I also talk if I want something that was promised to me like a play time. Barking is definitely reserved for intruders and gardeners with loud blowers that hurt my beautiful ears. I am great at letting my companion know that Amazon delivery arrived. Who needs "Ring" when I am around. I love being groomed. When my companion holds out the brush I drop everything, even my favorite ball, and come to a gorgeous sit-stay to let them groom me. Sometimes, if there is a nearby chair, I even sit in the chair to make it easy on my companion's back. I never really needed a mani-pedi since my nails are filed properly from running and playing in our backyard. I hope this teaser will find me a beautiful family.
