Hello future fur-ever family, my name is Bubba, and I am a 2-year-old male Rottweiler/Shepherd Mix. I have so many amazing attributes that it’ll be hard for you to not love me. So put your feet up and enjoy my little bio. Let’s talk about all my fun facts first. I have professional training, no not by the CIA, however it’s still impressive. I attended the RFRD academy where they taught me things like sit, down, stay, heel & place. They also taught me how to have good manners at the vet and groomers. The last part of my training sounds like I went to etiquette school, LOL. My foster mom continues to practice my training with me because they say it’s important to keep my brain challenged. I hear dogs who get bored and aren’t challenged often find themselves in trouble. I do not want to be in trouble, I like to please my people. If you bring treats when we practice my training that’s super helpful, because no dog said they wouldn’t be extra good for a Scooby snack. I currently go on multiple walks a day with my foster mom. If you like walking I am your perfect partner but sometimes I get distracted by smells! I do love to run as well and play chase, so I won’t complain if you need a running partner. I am crate trained so if you have a job no worries I will hang out in the square box until you get home from work. I know how to hold my potty and will tell you when I must go. Typically, me hanging by the back door means it’s time but if you wait too long, I will tell you with my words. Additionally, I love, love, love car rides. The car I currently ride in has a dog gate in the back area where there are windows to see all the cool things. So far, I sound like the perfect family member…right? I bet you are wondering what’s the catch. Certainly not little humans because I love them! My foster's great niece is 6 and I just can’t help but kiss her cute face. Keep in mind I am a big boy, and my tail is very strong and sometimes my feet don’t always stay on the ground because I am so excited to see my humans. If your little human has toys, it’s possible I will steal them, and they may not survive. Those tuff toys don’t even stand a chance with me. The solution my foster mom has found is cow bones, antlers or nylabones. Like humans I choose who my friends are, so if you have a dog or a cat we should meet first to see if we are compatible. The last thing you should know is I can be handsy, remember 2 is still semi-puppy and someone never told me that wasn’t okay, but I am learning quickly. A firm “no” and sometimes distracting me with a toy or a bone is all it takes. My foster mom often uses the tug-war-rope. I don’t even like that toy but she’s good at tricking me with it. If I sound like I would fit into your family, let the rescue know so we can meet. Thanks for reading my bio. Adoption fees: Adult dogs: 1-6 years $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm each dog and chip. Lastly, we spay or neuter each of our dogs. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match. Please visit https://www.calpaws.org/available-dogs for the adoption application! We are always in need of experienced fosters for the amount of dogs we have coming in. Being a foster is such a rewarding experience. If you are interested please review https://www.calpaws.org/fostering
