Meet Grizmo! Born on 4/19, these little loves have been well socialized from birth with kids of all ages! They are spunky at play time, but love a good nap in your lap or even cradled in your arms. They spend their days playing outside and learning to potty in designated areas, while inside they are already working on potty pad training as well. They’re also working on recall with basic hand signals and squeaky toys, and are gentle at taking treats from small hands. Their DNA includes Malinois, Dutch Shepherd, German Shepherd, and Australian Cattle Dog, so they will be exceptionally smart, very active, and loyal family dogs! Puppy: up to 1 yr $450.00 Our dogs are spayed/neutered and a registered chip. For our puppies they are up to date on vaccinations.  Once adopted it is the new owner’s responsibility to continue the remaining vaccinations with a veterinarian. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match. Please visit https://www.calpaws.org/available-dogs for the adoption application! We are always in need of experienced fosters for the amount of dogs we have coming in. Being a foster is such a rewarding experience. If you are interested please review https://www.calpaws.org/fostering show less

Pie is the sweetest little girl!  She wants to cuddle and play and is always looking to do the right thing.  She doesn’t look for mischief but responds immediately to a very gentle correction  when necessary. She loves to be inside, in the hubbub of the home, and with her foster family.  She is potty trained and goes potty every time she’s taken outside, she even goes poop (like clockwork) directly after she eats, and then she’s ready to be back inside.  She loves her crate and knows it’s a safe and clean space (zero crate accidents!). She sleeps all night and quickly adjusted to her foster home’s sleep routine :) She is very attached to her human and would love for her human (currently her foster mom) to be in her line of site at all times. She plays so nicely with her human foster siblings (13, 7, and 6), and loves her dog foster sibling. She loves to bark at the cat, and really wants to get in her space, but responds well to the cats corrections :)  Her stitches are out and she is raring and ready to go. She loves to zoom back and forth between her favorite spaces in our home, chew on rope toys, check in with her foster siblings (human and otherwise), and she loves a treat.  She is still learning to navigate leash walks.  When on a leash she is very aware of her surroundings and loud noises give her pause, which would make sense given what happened to her!  Every afternoon we walk to pick up her human foster siblings (from school) and she is so incredibly gentle with everyone and SO very popular. Her sweet face gives everyone pause and her kind demeanor has them coming back each day for their Pie time :). And with each walk we take she is getting more and more confident and comfortable on the leash and among the “noise”.  Pie may only have 3 legs but she has the hugest heart and will be the greatest addition to any home.  show less

Lucy is almost 5 years old, she has had a tough life, moved from place to place. She is a very loyal girl and she bonds hard to her person.  Lucy gets along with respectful dogs. She does like to be the queen bee and wants everyone to know she is in charge.  She is easily corrected and wants to please. She is a really good dog. She has 2 barks, when she wants your attention for some pets, a treat or to go outside she uses her inside voice, when she is alerting you to something more, there is definately a difference! With Lucy the house is always safe. She is fine with her current fosters dog savvy 8 year old but she mostly ignores him and just wants to be near the adult in the house. Lucy is completely crate trained and house broken. Each morning when she comes out of her crate and again after she comes in from outside, she finds the toy of the day and proudly carries it around the house... often times squeaking it unbelieveably fast!  Lucy would be great in an active home with breed experience as she can sometimes be nervous meeting new people as she decides who is friend or foe. Her forever home could have older children or no children, polite dogs, and lots of love to give as Lucy deserves it and thrives on it, she is love motivated.    Lucy is vaccinated, spayed, chipped and ready to be in a home where is treasured. She is house trained, she rides nicely in the car. Lucy loves her walks and knows exactly where she can find her leash.  Adoption fees: Adult  dogs: 1-6 years $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm each dog and chip. Lastly, we spay or neuter each of our dogs.  Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match. Meet Rory! Rory is a very pretty young lady.  She knows some of her basic commands, but she is capable of learning many more. She is eager to please and always wanting to learn more.  Rory has been exposed to children of all ages, dogs and she is even good with cats.  Despite the breed, Ms Rory has very little prey drive and makes her an excellent candidate for any household with lots of activity.  Rory would make an excellent addition to any family! Rory is housetrained and crate trained.  Adoption fees: Adult: 1-6 yrs $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm each dog and chip. Brick is a one-year-old GSD/Mountain Cur mix who was rescued with his brother after they were found abandoned at a high school in Burlingame. After completing an 8-week board and training program at RFRD Academy in San Jose, Brick is now ready to find his forever home. Weighing 64 pounds, he thrives as a solo pet and would love a home where he can be the center of attention. Brick is a loyal companion who enjoys accompanying his person on adventures and errands. He is well-trained and knows commands like "sit," "place," "down," "come," "no," and "break." Brick’s ideal home is with someone who is confident and excited to continue his training. He’s crate trained and very food motivated. Brick enjoys walks, but what he loves most is simply spending quality time with his person. He’s currently in a foster home with three other dogs and has adapted well, though he may shine best as a solo companion or with a female companion. If you’re looking for a devoted and enthusiastic partner, Brick might just be your perfect match! It is unknown whether he is good with cats. He is house trained. He prefers a quiet environment over a loud ones. He is a dog that likes a slow introduction both with people and other dogs, but will warm right up once you're in his group of pals. show less
