Cabana is believed to be around 10 months old. She was found when scratching at the front door at 2:30am a couple of weeks ago. She had recently been adopted from the shelter but after just a week was no longer wanted by her adoptee. Please note: We are a small rescue and do not have the resources to respond to inquiries. If a dog is on our website, it is still available. We can not arrange meet & greet without an application. We are not a shelter and do not have a facility. All our dogs are in foster homes. Adoption fees: $450 for dogs 0 to 2 yrs, $400 for dogs 2 yrs, $350 for dogs 3 to 5 yrs, and $300 for 6 yrs and older Please follow Calpaws K9 rescue on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/CalpawsK9Rescue) for updates on our dogs. Cabana is believed to be around 10 months old. She was found when scratching at the front door at 2:30am a couple of weeks ago. She had recently been adopted from the shelter but after just a week was no longer wanted by her adoptee. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines and micro-chipped. She is a friendly, high energy puppy, who loves to play fetch, bury bones, eat sticks, roll over for belly rubs, give kisses and cuddle. Cabana loves car rides and does really well walking on a leash. She knows the commands for sit, shake, down, get your toy and is still working on “stay”. Cabana would do great with active owners. She still has a ton of puppy energy and would benefit going on daily runs, hikes, outdoor adventures, etc. Cabana prefers to be with her people and is happiest when she is getting attention, playing or laying at your feet. I would not recommend Cabana live with any cats however I do believe that after proper training and time to get comfortable, she would do great with another dog. She doesn’t appear to be aggressive with other dogs, but she is definitely fearful which causes her to bark at them. (She has a very loud bark) She does great with people and is very friendly, but she is still working on not jumping up on everyone, so would do best in a home that does not have kids younger than middle school. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please review our adoption process and then fill out an online adoption form at https://www.calpaws.org/adopting. Experience with obedience training is definitely required. We are a small rescue and do not have the resources to respond to inquiries. If a dog is our website, it is still available. We can not arrange meet & greet without an application. We are always in need of experienced fosters for the amount of dogs we have coming in. Being a foster is such a rewarding experience.
